That said the young gentleman who started the topic appears to have a queue forming!

No surprise to me. Single, baggage free men in their 30s are highly in demand, particularly if they're financially stable.

The OP can afford to be picky and would not be unrealistic in looking for a woman in her early 30s with no kids. He just comes across as needing a bit of confidence. My guess is that the women he was after in his 20s were always attracted to men a few years older, and now he IS that man!

Thanks for all your replies. Really appreciate the feedback and the confidence boosts.

I do agree that I am reaching the a point where I will be too old to have children. I would like to be able to play with them without moaning about having back pain!

Hopefully I will meet a nice lady soon that also wants to have children.

As a single bloke, I am thinking it might be a good idea to put a profile pic up. Seems to be the way forward going on this thread!
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

Mate, I'm about to turn 36 and in exactly the same boat. Spent the past year getting messed around something rotten and really feel the time rushing past.
However, it is what it is. I indulge my hobbies and have spent the past few months doing positive things, I've given up smoking, stopped drinking and taken up running. I try and do something, or go somewhere new each weekend to spice things up a little.

I was just thinking the same thing.
I am just about to turn 38, gave up smoking and drinking (apart from the odd pint) last year, and have taken the last year as an opportunity to indulge in deciding on new hobbies etc. (Using the money I have saved) :money:

I think we should start a social thread where people can meet up with others. Have social events or even dates.

What kind of hobbies have you taken up? I think I am struggling here.

I play hockey on a weekend (although I have done that for years)
Do badminton twice a week (saw an advert for the club in our local paper)
I have 2 weekends away in the next month hiking with a local group. (again saw an advert for this locally) and one weekend away with my brother.

My next fully free weekend is 9th May. :rotfl:

Actually 38 is pretty old for a guy to start looking for someone to start a family.

Taking in that he needs to meet someone, get to know them and develop the relationship enough to be sure that is the person they want to have children with. Best case senario is probably around what age 40 by the time he's ready to start trying, 41 by the time the baby drops. That would make him 59 by the time the child is entering higher education. He'd almost be a pensioner by the time they graduate!

I think by any definition that's getting on a bit.

    *Joins the queue* ;)

Oh don't be such a spoil sport Vestan!

If it helps,I'm 33 and my dad is 85.Plenty of more mature men still make babies,it just generally requires a younger woman.

Don't write yourself off op,you're a good looking guy and seem nice enough. Being male you have time to reproduce and women tend to prefer older men.

I can't help with dating issues though, I'm afraid!

OP - think outside the box, go to church :D If a single male in their 30s turned up at my church there would be an actual stampede :rotfl:.
