    Hey PurpleVamp!
Ive been really slack on the updates too so don’t sweat it too much- mortgage overpaying is such a long-term thing after all! Also I’m finding the new forum hard to read at times and went from receiving notifications for everything to not getting any now!
Gutted about MCR- I also couldn’t afford the tickets and I hear rumours my fave band the Used will be the support act (not sure on this myself but will see!)

well done on the weight loss- 2 stones is fantastic well done you!
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!

Hi Kittenkirst, good to hear I'm not the only one isn't updating that often  :D.  As long as I'm still managing to pay the mortgage then that's the main thing.

Even though I'm sad about MCR I still have about another 5 things already booked for this year.  I've got 3 of them this month and I'm hoping they don't get cancelled due to the Coronavirus (selfish me  ;)).  They can put the country on lock-down from 5 April  :)

Well, all my shows have been cancelled!!  Two of them have been rescheduled but the one I was seeing tonight is only in my home town for a week, so not going to see that one.  People online are saying that we should see our cost as a "donation".  Seeing as tonight's show cost me over £80 that is not going to happen.  I just need to wait for an email to see about getting my refund.  :'(

  • Hi purplevamp! I also LOVE MCR and luckily managed to get tickets to their Milton Keynes show...but to be honest, it looks like they'll be cancelled. Gutted! I never did get to see them before they broke up so I jumped at the chance.

I also have a similarly sized Santander mortgage at a very similar rate to yours, so I'll be following :)

    Hi lostmyusername

I was thinking the same about MCR too, in a way I'm relieved I never got tickets.  It would be heartbreaking if they do cancel.   I've never seen them either :( .  I had six shows cancelled / rescheduled but tbh I think even those may get re-rescheduled  ;)

I'm not at work because where I work has been stripped right down to the bare minimum staff (NHS HVs team) and I'm waiting to be redeployed to somewhere where I'm needed.

On the plus side, if there is one, I've been selling a lot more on ebay than in previous months.  Every time my phone kerchings I'm like "oh no, not again"  I'm getting the courier to pick them up so no contact.  But I sold something last night which requires a trip to the post office.  I think I'll combine that with my weekly shop and a quick dash to my eldest son to give him some supplies and an Easter egg.  At the moment he has no money coming in and no internet, so it's really hard to keep in touch :(

    Stay safe and stay inside
