Another payment of £800 has just been made. Taking another 2 months off the term. Slow and steady, but too slow for my liking :D

Went for a job interview yesterday and they were very keen to offer me the job but unfortunately I've had to decline it. Even though it's more hours it's £3 an hour less than my current job. And even factoring in saving £540 per year on travel I'd still be worse off by over £1K. Shame, as it's 10 minutes from my house and it would have been a perfect little job for me. I'll have to speak to my manager and see there's any chance to increase hours in my current job.

Hi purplevamp! Just been reading through your diary and well done with your overpayments! Are you still ticking off your grid squares? I might have to do one for ours! Good luck with your MF journey!

    Hi Jessy

Thank you! Yes, still crossing them off, but it's just so slow!!! It's definitely worth doing though, as you want to cross of the next square!!

I can only make payments of £500 or more...or so I thought. Spoke to the bank today whilst making my OP and she said they've stopped doing that now, so hopefully I can make at least one more payment before the end of the year. Don't think it'll be another £500 though.

My goal this year was to OP £5,000. Well, that hasn't worked out at all. I've had a few expenses, holiday, broken car, and a very bad gig habit that I need to knock on head :o:rotfl:

Typical, just as soon as I make an OP my washing machine decides to break. It started making a weird noise and when it finally finished the clothes were still soaking wet, so I put it on a quick spin. Then BANG!!! Took the clothes out to get dried and put the machine on a test run to see what the problem was. 5 minutes in and it starts letting out smoke

Long story short, £500 later and I'm getting a new one delivered on 7 Nov. Unfortunately that's the earliest time available. But I did manage to get a £15 off code, and went through Kidstart for 1% cashback and activated Swagbucks for another 2% cashback.

I would have sold the old one on eBay for spares but I feel it is too dangerous for anyone else to have it. Oh well, that's what an emergency fund is for I suppose!! Now off to complete some surveys to make up the lost money ;):rotfl:

These last few days have been really tiring for me.

On Sunday I took my daughter to London to see Twenty One Pilots. Gig finished at 11pm. Tried to get the bus to the tube, 2 went by totally full up, managed to finally get one and got to the tube at 11.50pm. Last tube was meant to be midnight but they had cancelled it . Had to then get a bus from Wood Green to Trafalgar Square, then another one to Victoria. Got to the station, just as they were closing the gates. Missed our train by minutes :(. Next one was at 4am:eek::eek: Then told we couldn't stay at Victoria as it was shut.

Well, we actually got the Gatwick Express to Gatwick and waited there in the warm until 4.53am when the next train home came. Got a taxi at the station and crawled into bed at 5.30am. Needless to say neither one of us were able to wake up Monday morning

It's taken me nearly 3 days to recover!!!

Then today I went up the Brighton i360 (comp win) and my fitbit thought I'd walked up 10 flights of stairs :rotfl:

Work tomorrow, then 4 days off, but need to do lots of housework and get some more tat on ebay. Need to get my OP account up to £500.

Well, I'm off to bed now as I'm knackered!! :rotfl:

New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!

I'm still knackered now :rotfl: I've only got 2 more shows this year, Billy Connolly next week and then Russell Brand :happyhear in December. But then next year is Adam Ant :heartpuls and Mama Mia. Then I'm done...until the next gig comes along!!

Why is it that bands tour in November? It's too cold, you can't wear a coat as there's nowhere to put it at the gig. But I don't go out much apart from then so it's like my weekly entertainment all in one go ;).
