Had to pay £5  My yearly one works out at around £1.50 per day.

It's annoying when you make a mistake and the money you have been scrimping and saving gets blown because of it. Losing something or putting off that auto renewal phone call etc.

I haven't got a full breakdown of "stupid things I've done" but!in my head it's around £10k and then there is buying at the height of the market rather than years earlier when I probably could have done it much easier.

Dealing with that negativity in the back of my head is probably the hardest part of my money saving adventure.

I could kick myself for that! I saw it the day before but obviously I "saw" it in a different place to where it actually was . I put £50 a month away for my bus pass, which just about covers it. It's gone up to £570 for a yearly pass now  Even though I only work 3 days a week it still works out better value than getting a weekly or 3 daily tickets. And my DH can use it as it's like a credit card-type thing and doesn't have my photo on it. Also if I want to go out on my days off it comes in handy.

Just catching up on your diary over the last two weeks!

3k overpayment is fantastic news! Really well done you :D

Thank you Kittenkirst :). Not as much as I wanted to OP but it's still a very good amount. I'm hoping to pay the same off again this year, maybe more. But I [STRIKE]need[/STRIKE] want a new kitchen, sofa, etc, so will be saving up for these things too.

Thought I'd empty out Kevin (piggy bank) to retrieve all my pound coins sooner rather than later, as they're going to be out of circulation this year. Didn't count the rest of the coins but have got £114 in pound coins :j

I'm just looking through them to see if any are rare. It's hard to tell as some are selling on ebay for [STRIKE]lots of money[/STRIKE] more than £1 but on other sites they're not!

So maybe some potential for extra money :D:j

I have lost 3lbs :j Which is surprising as I have finished off the chocs from xmas :p Only coffee and orange ones left, so kids and DH can have those.

Have just cashed out £15 Amazon voucher from survey site, so that's gone into the "pot" for Christmas. Already up to £31 :j

Got some items ending on ebay tonight and have just noticed 1 of them has a bid. 15 minutes left, so maybe some more bids, doubtful though!

:mad: Grrrr. Fridge freezer has broken down completely, and it's out of warranty (obviously!) We've only had it 2.5 years. Not happy at all. It's a Beko. I was against buying it at the time but it seemed like a good deal. My last one was a Samsung and lasted 14 years.

I'm getting a new one (Samsung) but it's not coming until Wednesday. So we're having to borrow a small camping fridge from my Mum. ATM the milk, etc is outside by the back door, colder out there than the fridge. Cooked up lots of food yesterday but the rest will have to be chucked. I really hate wasting food but it's better than being poisoned or getting the runs

New fridge freezer has arrived and is in place. Can't switch it on for 5 hours as it may explode  Apparently this actually happens. So still using the portable fridge. Had to throw 2 binbags full of food away in the end.:cry: A lot of it was YS rolls, tubs of leftovers, but also some full packs of fish and meat.

We may have to get a takeaway tonight as we have no food in the house suitable for dinners

The new fridge has a 10 year warranty on it :T

:o Err, yes!!! :p Papa johns yummy!! There was plenty left for luches the next day too! New fridge freezer is still working and I'm loving it :rotfl: It's just really empty though.

We struggling with what to make for dinner tonight as there's not enough in the fridge. My DH does the shopping so I blame him for not buying enough food. I'm sure I can scrape something together though!
