Just sorting the toiletries I've dug out of boxes from the room I've been clearing out for the last 2 weeks, and I'm about to TA 2 stick deodorants. One feels like it was pretty much used up while the other has been hardly touched if even started, but both have gone a nasty brown colour, one (a Dove with only a small hole, and the one that feels very light) won't push up at all, and the other stinks rancid.

I'm also coming to the conclusion that this person who never wears make-up either has to start doing so or has to throw loads away

I have 4 daughters, all 18 plus. Over the past 2 years the 2 oldest moved out. They loved a clean, tidy house, but never saw when it needed to be done, and would just tell me to chill when I would get upset at the clutter all over, drippy shampoo bottles and used cotton buds in the bathroom etc.etc. DD2 was the worst. Within 6 weeks of her moving to uni she was calling me up to vent about her 'filthy flatmates', 'leaving rubbish on the kitchen counter, dishes in the sink, beer cans in the garden, hair in the drain,' etc.etc. 'Mum, it's like they just don't see it!!!' I must confess I had myself a little chuckle - seems like when they move out the scales miraculously fall from their eyes!:rotfl:

:rotfl: I think my DD is similarly afflicted! She shares a bedroom with DSD here (they're both part-time residents) and is forever moaning about piles of clothes and bottles of water everywhere, whilst conveniently being 'blind' to the fifty million kirby grips and bags of shopping she drops at her backside in her wake. I am a whinger but it's my own doing, it took me a couple of months to find a job when we first moved here and I did all the housework, washing and cooking whilst I was at home. Now I'm working 25+ hours per week (all the hours that DS2 is in school, basically) cleaning other people's houses and I realy struggle to find the motivation to clean our home "properly". I tend to strop and stamp and make empty threats about going on strike but nothing really changes. Hey ho, one day my skids and step-skids will be grown up and having to pick up after themselves, maybe then they'll appreciate everything I do for them. A girl can dream, right?! :rotfl:

I have another UU, Superdrug Naturally Radiant Night Cream; WDBA, I love this, the smell is a bit 'herbal' for my tastes but I can't argue with the results. Since using the day and night creams from this range exclusively my face has been virtually spot free. I slap on a tonne but when it's less than £3 (when on offer) for 75ml you can be as liberal as you like! :)

I have less than a week left in the matching day cream too, but I have replacements stashed ready and waiting.

I've decided to take the plunge and attempt to "Pan That Palette"! Would anyone like to join me? I've chosen the MUA Undress Me Too palette which I think I can use for all manner of daytime looks, what with it being neutral. The black shadow is pretty poor quality but the others are good and I would love, love, LOVE to UU an entire palette. The weight is 9.6g, so 0.8g per shadow, and I reckon I could have it done within 4 months* if I use it pretty much exclusively for day wear. Excited to challenge myself! :D

    * I plucked this timespan from the ether, I have no real idea whether it'll take me a month or a year :o

You're Welcome. I missed her recommendation for using Taupe as a brow filler, I have that eyeshadow but can't get on with it, it is so matte and difficult to apply. I am going to try it today as a brow filler - from memory it is pretty much the same colour as the S&G Archery pencil I am using now.

Please let me know how you get on! It has been a genuine revelation for me, you need a light hand but the results are worth it IMHO. DH thinks my brows look darker using this than super-dark MAC Brun which pickles my brain a bit, I'll be honest :p My pot has almost dried out as it's been open for a good few months and like you, I found it very difficult to work with on my lid, but given the brow results I would have no qualms handing over a fiver for a few one when it ends up unworkable.
  • A few UUs

Tesco value face wipes - WBA - don't really use these to get make-up off just general make-up tidying and for any other use I can find! They smell nice and imo are as good as any other for the purpose I use them for.

Decleor systeme corps body lotion - WBA- do love this stuff but I had a 400ml bottle so can't decide if I need a change. Still got some National trust body lotion left to use so i'll decide after that. The l'occitane almond milk lotion is calling to me but I should resist:eek:

Chanel CC Cream - WDBA and will be doing if I can make it into Boots this week. I've got enough points to pay for this outright so I may do that. Love this stuff, it's amazing.

I've been trying for a few days some samples I was given of the Eve Lom cleanser. At first I wasn't keen, very odd smell. But having used it a few times my skin feels really smooth and make-up goes on really well. It's got little exfoliating particles in it which obviously contribute to this and I've really enjoyed using it.
I've got 2 other cleansers to use first which is a good job as its £55 a tub! but apparently lasts for a long time so I may indulge.

    Also have some INS

Avene Thermal Spring water spray - got this with my laser hair removal package, lady forgot to give it to me last time so got it today.
I've already got one of these in use, i'm currently using it as a toner which is working quite well. Also came with a large sunscreen and aloe vera gel. I'll not declare those as INS though as they're being put into general family use.

Charlotte Tilbury full fat lashes mascara - my best friend gave this to me when I saw her this weekend. She didn't realise it wasn't waterproof, only smudge proof, so couldn't get on with it. I however love it! the wand is pretty big but makes your lashes look brilliant. Would recommend.

Hi all, I just need a bit of help (ideas). I was reading about the homeless period campaign you can see here.

I often donate to charity but I must say this never crossed my mind. So I'm now considering to donate some sanitary items to a homeless charity. Any idea how I can make the most of my budgets? Boots etc is expensive. I was thinking about Chemist Direct but just wanted to see if you know any cheap alternative.

I always use Tesco's own brand, they're only 72p for a pack of 14 and they're really good. Both super and regular are the same price.
The tesco value are 62p, i've never tried them but for the sake of 10p more i've got a feeling the own brand would be better.

The splutterers are turning into UUs!

Arran Aromatics wheatgerm and vitamin e soap - WNBA should have used this in the shower rather than at the sink for hands, it was quite chunky. Had wheaty bits in.
Bioeffects serum - I wonder if they have changed the formula of this? tried some before but was really put off by the stickiness, but this time it was not like that, but still effective. too expensive to buy full size but I do like it.
Roger and Gallet fleur de figuier perfume - another from a beauty box, time to move into a more spring scent for me.
Sanctuary body shimmer - this was a LHJ, had it open since last august! was quite a subtle shimmer but didn't sink in very easily.

Hoping there might be a couple more UUs in the last days of the month!

Oh yes, I forgot about the 8 full size INs DH came home with the other day in a goody bag he'd been given. Mainly shampoo/ shower gel but also a tanning product. As a celtic skinned (ie blue) person I'm always wary of those.

Hi guys. I have two more uu's

No7 Moisture Lotion 200ml - WBA, I really love this range.

Balance Me Radiance Oil Roll On 10ml - I really liked this, I have two more of these and other oils in the stash to use before I think about buying though.

upsy-staffordshire - I had a shower after my post about the Xen-Tan and the darkness washed off along with the shimmer and it left a nice colour so don't be too concerned about using yours.

FizzWhizz - I did try the colour tattoo in my brows, it did a good job, I will try again with a lighter hand as it was quite dark on me.

I'm not sure I would be able to do a 'Pan that Palette', they take so long to use up. I've been using Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes every day this month and I have made a good dent in the middle colour but not hit pan and barely any progress on the other 2 colours. Having said that I haven't got bored with it and there are only 3 colours to play with. Good luck with your challenge.

It's been a great month for uu's for me and I can see a difference (slight) in the clutter, I hope to finish another couple of things this month aswell. The only ins this month were the Nails Inc polishes.

city_girl - I have a mini pot of the Eve Lom cleanser on the go at the moment, it came in a beauty box and I was really pleased as I had wanted to try it for years but the price was too , I don't like it though, firstly it smells of cloves which I don't like as it reminds me of toothache, also it is so thick and lard like that it takes a lot of effort to massage it onto my skin, I assume it is the same stuff you are using but I haven't noticed any bits in it though.

or buy a moon cup type product. I'd been put off by the price but got on on offer at 1/2 price and no need to buy sanitary items again. The cup is surprisingly cost effective as products can be expensive.
No INs still have some items spluttering along. I did get a reminder that I've points expiring at Superdrug at the end of the month so will maybe buy something and then take it back next month :o as really don't ned anything
