No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries April 2015

After the "discussion" about how much we have spent on toiletries and make up I started a spread sheet for items bought and finished. Since 2nd April I have spent £66.06 and used up £40.59, this does not include the £84 cream that I won in a giveaway:eek:

I really, really want to buy a Lancome Visionnaire eye cream as I really need to up my game in this area, in my local shop it is £40 less 10% discount they give to "people of a certain age":rotfl:, but I have resisted all week as I have a M&S and a BS one to use when my current one is finished in a few days. I am sure that it is the thought of having to enter it onto my log that has stopped me so far:D

The EL serum is done. For Christmas I asked DH to buy me a bottle of ANR, despite me showing him the bottle and texting him a pic, he bought me the purple stuff because purple is one of my favourite colours?! :rotfl: I WNBA, this feels as though it's silicone-heavy and didn't seem to do much for my skin.

The day cream will be done before the month is out, I'll make a concerted effort to UU the mask and the foundation has started spluttering, big time. I think I might have to roll the cleanser into next month, it's making my face sting if I use it more than every three days

Two UUs for me today:

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life 50ml: This smells lovely but there aren't enough scrubby bits in it for my liking! WMBA.

Sanctuary Silky Smooth Body Lotion 75ml: Really love the smell of Sanctuary products but the lotion didn't sink in very quickly. WMBA.

I have a uu

I have accumulated several tubes of fake tan from beauty boxes etc. I passionately hate fake tanning and only use St Moritz mouuse when I do do it as it is super easy and is coloured so you can see it going on. I also use Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs for instant colour. Last night I decided to declutter one of the others:

Xen-Tan Sparkle in Medium 30ml - this goes on clear (I used a mit) and smelt of coconut, that scent was soon replaced by a super strong version of the fake tan smell. This stuff has gold glitter in it too which I could live without. This morning I am not what I would call medium, I resemble David Dickinson from the neck down (in colour only I hope), it is streaky on my ankles and my knees are darker. Would not ever buy again.

I have a few!

Botanics face cream - Love this stuff, definitely would buy again.
Gilette shaving gel - always find the men's works better.
French connection body scrub - smelt delicious but I just never buy myself stuff like this.
Ponds Cold Cleanser - TA - horrible stuff, really disliked this, felt like it left a residue on my skin and got a bit spotty when using it.
Garnier Fructis hair wax - OH used this up
Botanics soothing eye makeup remover - this was something I had missed off adding to my list, however it's been hanging around forever, so glad it's gone! I prefer tropic skincare over everything else I've used, I don't think I'm going to cheat on them again !

I cut open the Boots cucumber clay mask (my favourite) and found enough for 3 more masks, when I couldn't get any more out. So I've had two masks last week, and after the next time I use it, it will be done.

I've also put the dregs of my tropic skincare lip balm into the second pot of it I have, so now just one full pot instead of one half and one quarter hanging around. So... that left me with an empty pot, I've finally been able to decant my leftover balmi into. Fab! There's probably a month's worth of lip balm in there, it's such a great lip balm too, I'm glad to be able to finish it up properly - so much of it gets wasted in the bottom of the old style round ball.

Thinking about selling the bare minerals eye shadow I never use, and possibly the Tom Ford Santal sample as I'm just not keen and it's still full.

Finally, I've had two INs - sortof. I found my lost Rimmel Apocalypse. Fab, because that was my favourite shade of red Like the sucker I am, I did buy the Rita Ora Rimmel nail polish in yellow. It's so pretty! It does crack on the surface quite visibly though.

I'm huffing, we have a waste paper basket/small bin in every room (bar the kitchen where there's a big swing top), I've just emptied them all, and it was a black bag and a half!! :mad: Why can no one else ever do it?! There was a pile of crap on the bathroom floor beside the bin because it was full, I've ignored it for as long as I possibly can but it's disgusting. Does no one else see this?! Why can't another member of my large and capable family do it, just once?! Rant over, gotta love hormones, eh?!

I have UU a Vaseline hand cream today. Nothing special, WMBA if it was on a pound offer but not worth the £2+ IMO.

Going back to the YT PP discussion, I subscribed to PrettyPistol86, she is fantastic She mentioned in a video that she'd been using the Maybelline taupe Colour Tattoo to fill in her brows -- OMG, it's amazing!:j I have dyed black hair and naturally light ashy brows, I dye them too but they're never dark enough. I've been filling them in with MAC Brun eyeshadow but it has a warm undertone, the colour tattoo is brilliant, not a hint of warmth and they actually look as though they belong on my face now Thankyou to whoever it was who recommended her channel! Outs : The body shop banana shampoo , hate this stuff , leaves your hair flat and icky!

Beutiolody vanilla frosting body lotion - smells nice but doesnt soak into skin.

Managed to fit all my bathroom products into a medium sized make up bag so deffo decluttering !
