cw18, I used to be exactly the same re: cleaning products, but I enforced a "no buy" about 3 years ago and worked through the stash I'd built up. I now have my own cleaning business and only use multi surface liquid (AKA Flash :D), bathroom cleaner, spray polish and a glass cleaning spray; I could probably pare that down even further but it all fits in a small bucket so I'm happy to cart that around :D At home I use unloved shower gel and shampoo to clean my bathroom and find them more effective than proprietory cleaners, I just think it looks a bit unprofessional to rock up to a customers house with some cast off Herbal Essences to scrub their loo :rotfl:

Try taking a step away from the household aisle the next time you're shopping and look at your cupboard stocks in a different light! :)

Other than the fabric conditioner bought earlier this year (I honestly didn't realise I already had some in the house) I don't think I've bought anything in well over 6 months, and even then it was washing powder for colours (what I had is too harsh for DS1's blacks and navy's).

I just need to knuckle down and do some serious regular housework alongside the serious regular self-pampering :D

  • Hello All,

I have just had fun catching up on the forum.

    My UU's are as follows:-

Radox original muscle soak. An oldie but goodie. Cheap as chips, HG product. Will buy again.

Akin unscented very gentle conditioner 225ml. Loved this. My scalp felt much better after using it. I will buy this again but not yet because it is expensive. Recommended for sensitive scalps.

Estee lauder advanced time zone moisture cream15ml. HG product, will buy again.

Cowshed lippy cow natural lip balm. Will not buy again, the name has put me off. Good stuff though.

Dr Bronner organic hand & body shikakai soap lemongrass & lime. Quite liked this although it looks like brown sludge. expensive for what it is. WNBA

    I'm in for May.

    Later all.....

I hope that you have a happy time in Scotland, maddiemay :) I also hope that your skin finally settles soon - it must be very frustrating not being able to use the products that you'd like to.

Some more quick UUs for me. All samples but I'm beginning to think that decluttering lots of bitty small things is the way forward, though I have to be careful with my skin...

Moon Safari perfume by MEMO Paris (5ml) - I've kept hold of this as I loved it so much but think it's very unlikely I will buy it. (It's expensive but really lovely)

Love by Jennifer Lopez edp - I really like this! It's very strong and sweet and is inexpensive so I'd consider buying a 30ml bottle once I've made a dent in my older perfumes.

AromaWorks Serenity Body Oil (5ml) - sank in extremely quickly and nice and silky but WNB as it's too expensive for what it is and I know I'd get fed up with the lemongrass scent.

Premae Instant Renewal Body Oil (20ml) - WNB as it wasn't very exciting.

I've set aside a box of things to work through in May. There are too many to list but I'll report back as I work my way through them.

Morning all a UU to finish off the month

Sanctuary body butter, WBA but don't need to as there are loads more in the stash

Actually didn't have any INs during April. I'm going to do a pan list for May and find a few spluttered to target I need to get using things up if I want to reach my goal of 250 or lower by the end of the year!

cw18 - that stash of cleaning products must be taking up a lot of room. I was the same with laundry detergent once and had loads of bottles of it. I have a fairly large stash of candles which are taking up a chunk of space on the top of DD's wardrobe, they do make her room smell nice though. It's nice to know you are not alone in your madness:D.

I have three uu's to finish April off

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Evening Bath & Shower Oil 10ml - have 2 more of these in the stash plus lots of other ones.

Boots Extracts Bergamot Body Butter 50ml - really lovely WBA.

Elemis Pro Radiance Hand & Nail Cream 20ml - would happily use again but WNB, I have 2 full sized tubes in the stash of this plus loads of other handcreams.

Willowbee - you do have lots of interesting sounding perfumes that I have never heard of before, glad you are enjoying using them. I agree about rattling through the travel sizes, they take up such a lot of room but I am a bit concerned that I will need to actually travel with full sized products soon although I do keep back some little tubs and bottles to decant products into.

    Final UU for April:

21/72. Boots Extracts Mango Body Wash 75ml - this was gifted with three other different scents. Probably my least favourite of the pack but did the job and I would happily use again, and WMB if on sale.

I have a number of very spluttery items which won't be UU'd today so expecting a small flurry to start May with.

    April totals:
    11 IN
    21 UU
    1 GA
-11 for the month and -24 YTD
    MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)

OK PP list for this month:-

[STRIKE]Nina Ricci - Ricci Ricci shower gel (have established this cannot be multipurposed as body lotion).

Radox Shower Smoothie (another product bought by Emma and relegated to the bathroom cupboard in a half full state)

    Boots Extracts Strawberry body butter.
    [/STRIKE]

    Elemis Frangipani Monoi oil.

    Vaseline cocoa body lotion

    [STRIKE]L'Occitane Whipped shea hand lotion.

    Liz Earle Chamomile C&P
    [/STRIKE]

    Clinique eye cream

    Tresemme shampoo

    Tresemme conditioner.

Am totting up my INs/OUTs and will post those in a mo however gone back to look at Project Pan list and haven't done too badly. Above is the revised one as of now.

So the shampoo, conditioner, eye cream and two body moisturisers are still ongoing but they all feel a lot lighter than they were.

Will think of 5 more to replace those that have gone for next month.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
