Beautiful piggies Parisjordana :) They are gorgeous piggies. Are they Peruvian and Texel (or Merino, I always get the curly ones confused)

I bred peruvians as I had my first piggy age 9 and he was a peru so never liked any other breed,i did try hard to mind you,I tried the texels, coronets, selfs, alpacas and even rex but nope I kept going back to perus as they are just pure delightful and s full of character:heart2: .the curly haired was a product from coco my peruvian and another peru but the outcome was 1 baby being a peru and the other 2 were alpaca(long haired like a peru but texel hair as its carrying the rex gene)I was amazed:eek: ,strangely though I kept the peru and the two alpacas went to very good homes....Im very loyal to my perus....:iloveyou:

anyway we are all here rummer waiting for the big announcement....yes it does go on forever but when you least expect it she will deliver:T

    That's always the way isn't it ;)

That's amazing about you getting the curly haired one out of two peruvians. Genetics sound so confusing. I've had a couple of litters in the past, but it was because, I, like Rummer brought a pregnant sow without realising.

My OH has been laughing at me today as he told me that the babies will not come while I am so focused on them arriving and I told him that I had stopped thinking about her giving birth and that when it happened it happened:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Sadly my OH knows me very well and dissolved into laughter at the thought of me trying really hard not to think about it :D.
We decided where she was in the hall was a bit too busy and draughty for her to deliver in peace so we have moved her to the dining room.
Parisjordana I am smitten with your guinea pigs they are all so gorgeous. I have been campaigning for years to get a guinea pig but because we have so many other animals my OH said no then we saw our two and couldn't resist. They did say she might be pregnant but we knew that we had the space and the will to keep them so we bought her.
Today has mainly been spent trying to squint throught he frosted glass of the dining room door to see if there is more than one dark blob in the cage :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. It means so much that you are all here as none of my firends quite get my excitement and they would have lost patience with me by now!

  • I'm not sure whether this has been said before, but remember to separate the males (if there are any) at 3 weeks. Also, plenty of fresh veggies and pellets for mum! I wouldn't limit pellet intake her for a while now.
  • can I add to that, plenty of garden grass, piggies love that sweet stuff and even the babies will have a nibble at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
