Just made SFD number 15. Been MIA as internet has been rubbish. Not sure what I have done other than breaking up an old fence panel and went to get the bins today and spent another hour in the garden.
Love the new challenge applemuncher but not sure if I will join or just cheer from the sidelines. I need to do one or two things differently this month and once again am starting the month without enough to cover food and bills let alone extras. Not giving up yet.
Reviewing this month I have spent a lot on rubbish. Think my plan of using up what was in the freezer has backfired - there wasn't enough variety and some meals were a bit bland, resulted in too many 'treats' to compensate. Need to allow for more salad things and healthy treats in this month's budget. May include a couple of unhealthy items too - I keep getting cravings for weird things (stuff I haven't had for a year or two) but would save money by having them bought in frozen rather than paying shop prices (it's steak puddings and chicken pasties, can buy identical products from the polar bear shop much cheaper than the chippie).
Today I am grateful for visitors going home (and promising to take DS3 for a few days next month), for music and books (no internet meant no tv, no games, no you lot) and for DS3 (gave him the contact details for the internet people - phone wasn't working when I tried the other day - and after sighing a bit he has spent ages on the phone talking through solutions with the tech advisor, kept going even though they got cut off six times). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Thanks
If there is a voucher it will be in the Daily Mirror. It is usually the 4th Thursday in the month but there was not one last week so they may have delayed it to cover the Bank Holiday.
Just going out for a walk so will check to see if it is in the paper and will update later.

Sorry, local shop had sold out of the Mirror and didn't manage to get to another shop so I can't. Confirm if the voucher was today or not.

Evening everyone
First of all... thanks fmess for the fab challenge. I appreciate it a lot after my spendy month last month. I've had hurdles but I have done well overall
Now, to my month. I have way overspent on groceries. This is fine, I had to restock my entire fridge until it was groaning with foods I can *now* eat. Mainly green veg, meat and fish it would seem. With bulletproof coffee if you have ever heard of such a thing
Everything else came in fine within budget. birthdays were much cheaper than expected because so much was bought by others for Jellytot that my share of our birthday gift to her was around £12 :rotfl:
Looking forward to my new diet plan, courtesy of a $2.50 (£1.67) spend today and am off to spend the evening reading it and working out costs for next months groceries
Not a SFD due to aforementioned little spend. As apple knows, when I spend, I spend big, so this is actually a very good dayxxx
