Thanks everyone! I'm thrilled to have paid off the credit card. It means every penny of my student finance has gone and I am living off part time wages until i find a better job, but if we are careful it will be manageable. Only a couple more payments to go on my sofa finance (it's 0% so no benefit in paying it off early) then it will be just the mortgage and car finance left.

SFD today but we are running low on supplies so will do weekly shop tomorrow. Am doing my meal plan now so I can go armed with a list.

Lilt hope you are feeling better

Calling you're doing great - keep at it!
  • Well done welshkitty on the c/c, its like a distant dream for me! Lol.

Calling well done on the 5k :)

Academia glad u had a nice holiday, i would love to be going away!

Went for a run last night, 1st in a long time, and i managed to have hurt my neck??! Ive been woken up by ds all night, and everytime has been so painful because of it :( hopefully a shower will ease it slightly!

Terrible at the sfd's recently! Think i'm on 4! And only have 3 meals in my freezer!!
    Ltw everyday though.

Working today, and an extra day on Friday, which will be handy, as my commission will be quite low this month.

No other exciting news to share really, so I'll go back into hiding :)
Still here..... but working on that!

    Hi everyone.

Was a bit worried about over-sharing but it was all about honesty... thank you all for your kind words.
I am glad there is someone else in the same boat caeraugirl. I thought I was maybe crazy (if I was rich then I would be eccentric).
    :o

Wow... just read that Fmess does the same sort of thing... maybe I am more normal than I think.

Syn!! Your poor family!! I hope everyone gets better soon.
    Hugs to them all.

Fmess... of course I will be friends with you. How do we do that??
I am not very good at it yet as nightshifts limit exercise. I did walk to work and home again last week which was a challenge. I have just gotten my marathon badge!!
    :D

Academia Blues: Wow!! I loved Berlin when we went. Hope you enjoyed it too.
We spent most of our time wandering around just taking in the "scenery". My OH spent most of his meals eating currywurst until he couldn't eat it any more... caused a lot of hilarity when we found the currywurst museum.
    :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing okay. Away back for another nightshift. Erm... definitely two spend-free days as I have been sleeping. Can't remember what happened on Monday so will have to read back to see if I have spent or already counted it.
    :)

Hope all us turtleys get a spring in their step.
    Hugs to everyone.

Hi everyone :) Sorry I've been missing for a bit, I've still been decorating :(

Welshkitty well done on clearing the CC :j

Stewby, I too have that demon! I also can never accept a compliment and will always find a reason not to be worthy of it. I then become easy prey for those that can only feel good about themselves by putting others down  Syn, thank you for that post, I will give it a go. I hope your family members are ok.

Good luck Calling and Fmess with going under 5k :j
Academia glad you had a good holiday :)

Today was a spend day. I bought some ice-cream from tescoos for the little man.
If there is anyone i've missed out I'm sorry :)

    Take care everyone :)

  • Hi everyone :)
Calling, hope your tooth isn't painful, and your boss learns to mind his manners. Lilt, I hope your head is feeling better, and Dragon, I hope your neck is better too. We're all in the wars at the moment, aren't we?! Welshkitty, congrats on the credit card :D
Stewby, it's a fab city isn't it? OH just HAD to have some apfelstrudel, which he ate with whipped cream AND ice cream whilst I looked on, longingly!
Today has been a NSD - been at work all day and came straight home :) going to London tomorrow for a meeting, but going to save a bit of money and take my lunch with me. Can't take tea though so will be a mildly spendy day (out of the house 8am-10pm, grr!). OH's job tomorrow is to ring someone to fix the shower - I found someone who doesn't seem like a cowboy, and OH has a list of questions to ask (honestly, he's hopeless!)
Hope everyone has a good Thursday :)
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free! :D
