Another lovely day here. I really hope the sunshine is here to stay!
Cooked breakfast this morning with homemade bread. Was delicious! Took children to cinema to use the free tickets they won. They both wanted to see different films so DH had to endure spongebob with DS (he said it was awful!) and I took DD to see Cinderella. Took snacks with us so we didn't spend anything there.
Did weekly shop this afternoon. Am trying to use up contents of freezer so only spent £28 and that included washing powder, foil etc.
Was planning homemade kebabs tonight and it was nearly a disaster as the pitta bread was mouldy (BBD 10 April!) but DH reminded me there was some homemade bread left over, so disaster averted!
Have had £150 inventive paid from switching bank account. Have moved it straight into savings so am now at the grand total of £968.20. Think it will slow down a little now but am excited at the thought of passing the £1000 mark!0 -
Acamedia lucky you enjoy Berlin.
I am officially a Saddo being playing with my new toy tonight. My Vax one review did say it sticks to the carpet like a terrier on a postman's turn up. I could feel the underlay lifting as well. Made my old carpets look clean, hoovers more pet hair up than my Dyson. Amazing on my shaggy pile ones as well, great work out. Collapsed with wine now.
Welshkitty practically neighbours how weird. Could have been my tenner hehe.
3yr old grandson walked the dog with me tonight. Long walk for him and he had been swimming in School today. Aww bless so cute telling my dog walking mates about his girlfriends lol. Hope he is not too tired for his zoo trip tomorrow.
Another Sfd off tomorrow some painting planned so will need few bits and bobs.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Calling I remember the day I got my new Vax. It ripped up my laminate in the kitchen. Just sucked a hole out of it and I had to turn it off to get it off!! :rotfl: it is still good a year later although I stupidly vacuumed up a wet carpet and turned it into a water vac for a while last week. Good clean and blast with the shower and hung to dry for 24 hours and it is as good as new again though
traveller thanks you little sweetie. Gutting about the council tax. Had the precise same issue with them when Him moved in originally. I gave them the date he moved in. It was less than 3 days before I called, and I rang the day after a bank holiday weekend, so you do the math on how long I took to tell them! The woman on the phone was disgusting. Then since I have been alone, I phoned to get the single person discount, then spoke to another department who made me jump through 40 pages of hoops and paperwork to get the tiniest bit of housing benefit.. I stopped paying for nursery so her tax credits dropped accordingly, and forgot to tell the HB until a letter dropped through the door more than doubling my weekly entitlement. I immediately rang and explained to the woman and I was thanked about a dozen times in one phonecall for my *honesty*. As if it was a rarity phoning and telling them I was not entitled to the money on the basis they held the incorrect information about nursery fees. Considering that the self same council were the ones now paying those blooming fees. No departments talk to each other in there
SFD!! Unexpected!Takes me to 5 :j tomorrow definitely spendy. A DVD and a balloon required. :rotfl: Jellys 3rd birthday
bless her, where has the time gone?! Still not discussed my spending with YNAB. Doing it now and will come back and spill the beans
xx

Evening...
Sitting here with a very rare cider as we have had some great news. My future MIL has been unwell but today her scan showed that she will recover 100%.
So OH and I celebrated with a pizza (OH paid so doesn't affect the spend free day)... however, I bought petrol so that does.
My training session was amazing. A bit complicated at times but I think I have grasped it. Hopefully.
Diet was meant to restart today but due to pizza and cider, will hold off until tomorrow.
Absolutely loving my fitbit. Spending all my time noseying at my step count, calorie burn and everything else.
Would never have guessed that I walk 3000 steps on a nightshift... it's amazing.
I am so sorry to hear about the person who died in a motorcycle accident. I think it was calling's friend. That is so horrible and for their family to be left so young (to me, at that age people are still kinda children in a way. i feel that we rely on our parents so much more).
:undecided
Hope all the other turtleys are doing good. Big hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Spendy day as predicted yesterday, boys' haircuts, dental check ups for all and some sweet treats and milk - so made my charitable donation of £10 to Macmillan when I got home, while purse was in action.
Today has been a SFD, but off to forest with boys and some friends tomorrow, and although taking packed lunch I'll have to pay to park. Have done very little in the way of spring cleaning or decluttering this week - seem to have lost my mojo a bit despite this lovely weather - but might do a quick whizz around and tidy now. Think I may be suffering from hoover envy lol!#21 Save £12k in 2025 £12577.35/£20000

Hi All
Not a NSD but a very low one, just a few bits for dinner. Trade recovered fairly well from the disasterous earlier days of the week, but we'll have to see what tommorow holds.
Budgets looking ok at the moment but next week will be critical, hopefully recover some lost ground once all the school kids are back into the routine.
Have been offered another 0% deal on a card, just an exisiting one, which we interestingly only have a few hundred left on, so they must be hoping to tempt us in...I need to think which card would benefit the most from a swap around. By the time you pay the transfer fees sometimes it isnt worth it after all. As I have low for the life of the balance deals on one, which has the highest balance. So is it worth trading that for a 12 month deal? Maybe.
Rambling!
So off for my usual soak in a hot bath. Its my equivelant of 'I'll get my coat'

Well had a lovely day off, painted so much, ran out of paint got a similar colour but no I had to have my guttering matching my garage door so in the end gave it 4 coats today. Then dosed off in the sun woke up covered still in paint and 10 minutes to get changed drive to school and collect my wee man. Who made me run around the garden for 2 1/2 hrs. Dog walk, look after next doors as well, make tea and annoying friend turns up. Wine and cider to get me through and now too tired to attack paint all over me.
Lilt was creased up laughing a your vax tale.
Bob laughing at your bath I'll get my coat routine.
Stewby lovely news. Nice to hear something good this week.
Paint splattered me spent today but wisely well £11 of plants but my back garden is awesome, paint and stuff booked through work, as they owe me for cleaning jobs . Fruit and veg £10 but needed. XLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220
