I agree tbw. She must be doing something fraudulent if that figure is correct so should DEFINITELY be prosecuted. Happily these cases are few and far between but I can see how it would make the blood boil.
https://www.tuc.org.uk/economic-issues/benefit-fraud-just-07-cent-welfare-budget-official-figures-show
It doesn't appear to be fraudulent - they just know exactly how to milk the system to its maximum. And unfortunately I don't think these cases are few and faw between - its just that most of the scamers have enough sense not to boast about it to mmagazines and newspapers etc !ELITE 5:2

Did you just get 12 of the same Hipp Organic Strawberry & Raspberry Yogurt, or was the 12th one that does not show on the APG? If you got one that does not show then ill need to avoid that one.0 -
is anyone else having problems with the APG machine - 2 receipts that def have had their 3 hours and have more than 8 tmes wont compare
so to test it I put in one from 26th of February and that gave me a list - no APG ?????
do Dr Pepper and diet coke cans show on the APG, one of my receipts has got 4 cans for £1 - if not that would explain why one wont compare
The other has cooked meats 2 for £3 - on the receipt it shows as £2 for corned beef and £2 for something else so they must be pre packed and not deli meats - but even ignoring these there are 8 items or 10 if you include these ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Hope everyone is having a good day. The sunshine didn't reach us unfortunately. I have a poorly DS1. Either a tummy bug or possibly an over indulgent weekend? He insists its the former but I'm not convinced
I had planned to go to asda too to use APGs up but that didn't happen....
Hows the cooking going?.It looks like you will have to learn how to make cheese sauce.0 -

We would love more children but we know that
A) we can not afford to move and our 2 girls already share a roomwe can not afford a bigger car - we have a golf
C) DP already works long and varied hours, to be able to afford more children I would also need to work, but then I would see less of the children I already have.
How is it, that decent hardworking people can not afford a holiday this year but she can have two very expensive ones?
I'd love to have everything for free and have the state pick up my bills but I have morals.0 -

I agree with you poppy. Just meant if she was doing anything illegal she should be prosecuted. If all is above board then I guess the objection is to how she spends her child benefit. Ho hum.
11 kids though. I couldn't even contemplate one :rotfl:
My objection is to the way in which she - and others - boast about how much they are getting and make no secret of the fact that they are having more children partly for the sake of the extra handouts ! And shout their mouths off about 'its my right to have as many children as I want, why shouldn't the system pay extra for them, you've got to give me a larger house (free) because its my right, I'm entitled to a holiday or two and the system can pay ' and so on.
A system that allows her to accumlate so much extra money to fund her very nice lifestyle is clearly wrong but thats another issue and I haven't a clue how it could be sorted.
There are thousands of families who struggle on a daily basis but manage to get by without milking the system. They don't have a quarter of the luxuries that people like this woman demand as a 'right'.ELITE 5:2

Evangeline1971 wrote: »It's the same for us, we would like children but can only just afford to get by now and not been abroad since the holiday I previously mentioned in 2011. Also why is it that so many people on benefits and with kids smoke? I don't understand it  Sometimes their kids are dressed in rags and their furniture needs to go in a skip but they'd rather spend their cash on cigs  I lived on benefits for a while because my ex walked out on me and my 2 kids when they were just 8 and 6 years old but I couldn't afford to smoke then and cannot now, even if I did want to, which I don't. I'd rather spend my money making my house nice or on my kids if I still had little ones.
I don't know how anyone can afford to smoke now, eating out is ridulous as is a round of drinks or a trip to the cinema or a visit to the bowling alley ... I think I am getting very mean in my decrepitude.
I have seen a lot of smokers now make roll ups and I think there might be a lot of fags sold in pubs that have been bought duty free somewhere ... I think I've seen figures to this affect somewhere ...
but we have all got our little weaknesses - if there was a way of smuggling in 1 euro bottles of wine I would be tempted but we live too far away from the ports“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
