Getting cat next Tuesday - have I got everything? UPDATE & help

I have food being delivered - ordered online.
Bought bowls
Litter tray & litter & scoop
Brush
Some treats
Carrier.
I need a scratch post. Like the look of the ones that are like a plank as they are neat & tidy, anyone got these.
Otherwise that fat boy one looked sturdy & long lasting.
Am I missing anything?
They will be speyed, chipped, vaxed, wormed & fleaed.
I'll have to think about fleaing & worming going forward, pets at home do a flea, worm & vax deal for £10 a month.

With regard to scratching posts, cats like to stretch out while they are scratching. I have found the taller ones to be more popular with my kitties.
As to food, you may find that they turn their velvet noses up at your choice (however gourmet and expensive). Or food that was perfectly acceptable yesterday is today not even worth a sniff.
It's worth getting decent flea treatment. Frontline seems to be getting increasingly ineffective. Advantage doesn't need a prescription and I have found to be effective. Stronghold is effective for worms and fleas but you need a prescription. Don't get Bob Martin flea treatment. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

My old cat absolutely refused to use the scratching posts covered with sisal.0 -
I use Advantage on advice from the vet as I found numerous other flea treatments ineffective. Haven't had a flea problem since. I get mine from Monster Pet Supplies.
If the cat is nervous you might want to consider Feliway to help relax them and ease them into their new home.
My cat proved not only fussy about food but also about her type of litter so I ended up giving away the stuff I initially bought. Keep an eye on them to make sure they're content with what you give them.0 -

Awww congratulations!
Obvious missing thing to me is .... food!
Scratch post - agree with Better days that cats like to stretch out as much as they can

Re flea / wormers - you'll find it's much cheaper to buy online as and when needed.
Frontline is not working in many places now. Good alternatives are Advocate (prescription only & expensive), Advantage (non prescription & available online) or ClearSpot (same active ingredient as both the others - also available without prescription) http://www.vetuk.co.uk/flea-treatments-clearspot-flea-treatments-c-3_2032 - an added advantage of the clearspot for those with multiple pets as you can buy a 24 pack at a great price!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

You are the best thing for your new cat - talk to it in the soppiest way even when telling it off.
Get it used to being handled.
A few house rules from day 1 - keep off worktops, beds
And get a second cat !Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Sorry I missed it because it wasn't included in the list like everything else was ...... do try to introduce some wet into her diet as well
Barrels ..... *sigh* I'm on a cat forum where LOADS of people have that barrel! AND it's very much loved by many, many cats!
This is another good one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nobby-Little-Lazy-Tree-Beige/dp/B00620MSIE/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1427449856&sr=1-1&keywords=nobby+lazy+cat+tree that quite a few people have
Mia has this one in her room http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nobby-62016-17-Lazy-Scratching-Light/dp/B00171UYGG/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1427449856&sr=1-3-fkmr0&keywords=nobby+lazy+cat+tree if you can wait, you can sometimes pick them up a lot cheaper when it gets to the last one in stock! I got one from Amazon for £44! (yup, for the big one that's over £110!)
Zoo+ is a fantastic site - variety of stuff and prices are great. They do a 'savings plan' where you basically buy a discount voucher of either 3% or 5% for a year or 3 years ..... I paid £3.90 for 3% for 3 years and have saved nearly £45 already (and only about 1/2 way through the period). There's also cashback through TopCashBack or QuidcoGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I really like this - having trouble viewing it on phone without glasses.
Do you think all of it is scratchable?
I can't see properly :-(0
