PC has been playing up so not been able to post again!:mad: but DS1 has fixed it again!:j

Off to collect DS2 shortly who has been to Tamworth Snow Dome today, sledging in real snow!(lucky him)

Hi Gang, just popped in to say that as my plasterer cancelled out this morning :mad: ,is now coming tomorrow afternoon (fingers crossed ).
My lovely DD said lets go on a picnic this afternoon ,and her and the tribe and myself all took ourselves off to Whitstable ,(about half an hour from us ) and we had a great day out and the boys took their crabbing lines and DD and I sat on the beach and had a lovely cool breeze from the sea and some gentle sun-worshipping all afternoon. The kids were really good and didn't argue (as there are 5 of them it was a nice change).
Picnic went down very well, and I've just got home .:D
Tomorrow I have my friend coming to visit me and I have already sorted out our lunch.

Bag all packed and ready for Thursday ,I can't wait to get it over and done with now .
I will probably be going to stay with my eldest DD for a couple of days to keep her happy when I come out as she fusses such a lot, bless her she does mean well though.

Just going to have a Jacket spud for supper with some nice garlicky cheese.

Just want you to know I am still here but not really reading what you are up to. I have been really busy plus getting over the dislocation. Plus having DGS1+2 and DGS3 being very windy and maintaining front garden now back at work.

Gorgeous day here although a tad cold this morning. Plans once I hang out the washing is to bake. I don't have one biscuit or cake in the house. I also want to continue with my mending. :rolleyes: I know, I bet you're excited as me.

Pink-winged, I was so sorry to read about your friend. I said a prayer for you and her family. Same goes for you Churchmouse, so sorry about DIL's miscarriage. Hugs to juliapenguin too.

Been busy... spent most of the weekend at, or sitting outside queueing for, various concerts at the Proms. Been to another one this evening. The season ticket is pricey to begin with (£185) but then you can go to as many concerts as you like throughout the whole season from July to September... which I do

Bedtime soon, got work tomorrow and TWO more Proms.

The little iddy biddy kittie is here!!!! Just as I was finishing my last post my friend pulled up outside my door. She had been stuck in traffic most of the afternoon, and she had forgotten her phone. (I feel a bit crap about my last post now...she wasn't being obstructive at all, that was just my interpretation of events). Anyway, I trotted off to her house and collected the little baby. My big boy Teddy is not happy at all at the new presence in the house. He's even hissing at my hands as they smell of new kitty. The other one, Dylan, is much more cautious and careful, so he's done some wide circles and sniffing from a distance without any hostile reactions. I'm surprised at Teddy though, he was grown up when I got Dylan and was like Dylan's foster mummy at the time. Maybe he feels that his space has been invaded. Gonna go to the pet board and see what advice there is there about introductions as obviously I want all three of the furry ones to be friends.
