    Morning All

Very muggy here. We're waiting for the rain after a really hot weekend

Had a good one, went out with the girls on Saturday night, which was loads of fun. Expensive, but fun!

    Spent yesterday just relaxing.

Got an old school friend's little sister coming in for work experience later.

Been drinking cola since I got to work and now I feel ill!!!:rotfl:

Not got much planned for today, just work unfortunately

    Hope everyone's ok

N9eav - I know what you mean about the weather - its been the opposite here - horrible days but nice evenings, have to say though it has really kicked in the last few days. Not sure about what its going to do today though - DS is at footie all day so dont want it too hot.

Had a lovely weekend in London, ate a pre show meal outside an Italian Restaurant in Drury Lane then went in and watched the show which was brilliant. Hotel was really near so nice stroll home - it was so hot it was like being abroad - everyone was sitting outside the cafe's and coffee shop. Yesterday morning had breakfast at Covent Garden market and had a mooch around the stalls before it became too crowded. Everything was lovely until we came home - trains wernt running from Liverpool street so had to tube around to Stratford (at 30 degrees this wasnt pleasant) when we got there we then had to change again at Shenfield - in total it took us 3 hours to get home - and this is from the goverment who want us to use public transport!!

Sat in the garden when we finally got back to our house, kids were in the pool and we had a little barbeque. Back to the grindstone today - have paperwork, phonecalls, housework and ironing to do.

Best be off now need to have a quick bath and get dressed.

Have a great day. Dogrose - hope he gets up soon!

Good Morning Chums, and welcome to Melly
beautiful day yesterday ,but now is very warm and muggy .I have plasterer hopefully arriving today.,after he has finished I want to pop to the shops to get a few things for tomorrow .My pal is coming down for the day from Dartford .She has just come home from a fortnight in the US with her husband so we will have loads to jaw about. Mind you we always do.I have known her for almost 40 years and we still natter away ten to the dozen when ever we meet.:D
My brother rang me last night from France to wish me well for Thursday. He has got the roof on the new house he is building and is now partitioning up the rooms .
he said that it is very hot and sticky out there and he is hoping for rain:eek: .I don't really want it to rain but a bit of a breeze would be nice.

I was very virtuous last night, and did ALL of my ironing .It was so hot I thought well I can't get cooler if I just slob out on the sofa, so I dug in and got it all done .Now I have to put it all away .I hate putting ironing away I don't know why but I do.I don't mind the ironing its just putting it away that I hate Does anyone else hate doing repetitive jobs like this I also hate emptying the rubbish .Daft really isn't it . I tried to work out once how many bags of rubbish I had chucked out over the last 60 odd years ,I really do need to get out more I am turning into a 'Victoria Meldrew' Everyone has one chore at least I think that is so repetitive that drives you up the wall.
Had a lovely Sunday dinner at DD's and lots of cuddles from little grandsons .The smallest one Mikey, 3, is a sweetie .He sat on my lap on the decking and said ' I really love you Nanny, you are a nice lady':D Bless him, he is full of charm.and the whole family adore him. Even his rough and tumble brothers wait on his every thing
Well time I got a wriggle on or the plasterer will find me in my jim-jams and believe me he would run a mile .Have a good day everyone, even though its Monday
<<hugs >> to those in need and a big :D to the rest of you .Roll on Thursday

Good Morning everyone! (Thinking of you, PInk)

Cooled off here a little, but not sure what the weather is going ot do.

DH back at work and I'm doing the usual!

Made 2 loaves of bread, the heat made them rise really well, even the one in the bread machine! but the hot-cross-bun bread looks like it rose more than usual.

    ((((HUGS))))) if you need one..........

    Good morning everyone

(((hugs))) to Pink & family & Sandra's family
dogrose fingers crossed for DS's results
Hester :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Wonder what the wife thought was going on?

It's sunny here at the moment but I'm not sure how long it will last. I'm at w**k anyway so it won't make any difference to me.

Isn't there a law against working on your birthday? There should be. I'm going to be all on my lonesome today at the office as the boss and his wife went to their holiday home in France for a fortnight yesterday. Only joking. I will probably get three times as much work done as normal because they aren't there.
DS and DD bought me a refill bottle of Chanel No 5 for my birthday. £43!! They must think I'm worth it. ;) Looking forward to seeing them later.

Right, must get a move on. That office won't open itself.

Have a marvellous Monday one and all. ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one. xx

    Good Morning Chums!

Its been over a week since I posted, nothing excited has happened.

Hope everyone is well. Welcome the new comers - we've had a few in my absence.
(((hugs))) to Anniestar and anyone else who needs/wants them.

Ive not heard from Dlb, Im sure she's having a lovely break. Its been a pleasure feeding her cat whilst she's away!

OH got an insect bite last saturday on his ankle. And all week, his leg/ankle/foot has swollen beyond recognition. He's on strong anti-biotics. The swelling has only just started to go down.

My nephew who moved to spain, is back home for a month. His step-dad turned into a nasty person. Long story. Anyway, it resulted in my exBIL getting the sack, and blaming nephew. So his boss sent him back to UK, untill things calm down, then he can return to his job!

My brother is enjoying Florida life. His social security number still hasn't come through. So he's unable to start work yet, until it does! He looks well, and really happy.

I collected some new laminate flooring from a freecycler. Just enough to do my down stairs loo, & replace the mess what the council left behind after fitting my new loo! OH made a start with filling the holes in the wall etc, he's got to sand it all down and then re-paint.

Defrosted both freezers on saturday. Sorted out the food/meals for the week.

Right, best be off for a shower and then feed dlb's cat before work.

    Love as usual

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Anniebooklover. There should be a law against working on your birthday.

Morning everyone (thoughts with Pink and family)
I decided to pretty much sleep yesterday away. Slept for 10 hours then got up, was awake for 5 hours, then I had a 3 hour nap, 5 hours later it was bedtime again and I still slept for 9 hours last night. You know I'm not even sure I feel any better for it....

Working from home today. Will run the hoover over today and wash the towels. Not much housework to do really with only me ond OH, the house stays fairly tidy most of the time.

Hope you all have a good day and that the rain doesn't spoil your day. Like a few others, I'm quite fed up with it. This time last year, I think I had fans in every room it was so hot!
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
  • Hello everyone

I've not posted for a few days as I've had a horrible attack of depression and anxiety - I've not had one this bad for about six months. I'm still feeling pretty yucky but just about well enough to try to do normal life again, which should help me get better more quickly.

I'm off to stay with my friend until Thursday - I've been looking forward to it for months but everything has got so out of control the last few days that I'll be exhausted by the time I leave. I've had to put the washer on a quick wash to get clothes to take! I'll have to be very un-OS and use the tumble dryer or I'll have to go without knickers....

Hopefully by the time I get home I'll be a cheery person again!

    Julia xx
