Evening! Crikey its quiet here today, hope its cos everyone is enjoying life.

Well, I got busy this afternoon. Got DS up, sorted him with toys and quickly mowed the lawn and hoovered through and empited DW. Sat and played with him outside and then filled the paddling pool so he had a lovely half hour splashing! He loved it, that and seeing his nanna has pooped him out.

DH made an effort and got back early after footie so hes put DS down. Just chilling with a glass of pinot grigro, would be lovely to sit out but neighbours are out so will hide! DH treating us to a cheinse - yum - and then we are going to watch Hannibal Raising.

Enjoy your evening folks, will be back tomorrow night in time for the new thread! x

Brrrr and brrr some more. Wondering why I moved back North. The rain didn't last long but I haven't seen the sun so I didn't bother laundrying. Actually haven't done a great deal, had a small nap went to the local shops and sorted the FIVE birthday cards for this week. There's nothing I fancy on the box and I'm Billy No Mates tonight so I'll have to make my own fun. Might do another 1/2 hour thing, really productive!

Enjoy your BBQs and lounging on sunny evenings (she said through gritted teeth) tonight!

I'll be back later no doubt.

Anyone know what Service texts on O2 are all about? They just sent me something very suggestive, good job I'm over 18! that's shocking!

All my washing dried well and I've put it all away. Just had bacon sandwiches for tea, yumm!

Washed up but not put away yet. It's draining, OK? :D

    It's a lovely evening now it's a bit cooler.
  • Went out this afternoon with DS to give DH some peace and quiet.
Trawled round some charity shops and bought a couple of nice new bits.

Unfortunately DH's dad has not just got a broken knee, but a broken hip too and is having to have an emergency hip replacement op tomorrow. All very tense here just now. Glass of red wine next to me is definitely helping though!

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Saturday night. I'm off to find the Pringles.

ugh had a pants day here, I am so fed up, sorry to be moaning (again).

Had a lie in which was nice, and, I feel, deserved since I am 35 weeks, I have had the pox boy all week, and hubby going away tomorrow for 4 days, but he made me feel so guilty about it. My only plan for the day was to go to Asda and do as little as possible else. But he wanted me to wait and go after kids lunch so he didnt have to do it on his own  I also wanted him to do a few bits before he goes and had made a list (for myself more than him). He was well huffy at being asked to do anything and very begrudgingly did one thing - to retrieve the double buggy from under a dismantled desk in the garage, where he had left it a few months ago. Why he didn't leave the buggy out above the desk I do not know, it was pretty obvious we'd need the buggy before the desk. Anyway I did the Asda shop which nearly killed me, it was so knackering, got back at 3.30 and no other jobs had been done. He hadnt even wiped the table from lunch. I didnt want to moan on at him so only at about 5pm did I remind him about the jobs, at which point he said "oh I thought you just wanted them done before the baby comes, not before I go". Is he deaf or what

So there ensued an argument about whether or not I was being unreasonable and why he is being such a moody git. His excuse: "we never go out in the evening [I am 35 weeks pregnant and shattered], we never get any films out that I really like [ we got 2 films out this week, its not the end of the world if they werent fantastic], there is nothing decent on telly, I have finished my computer game[get another one then], and work isnt very satisfyng". !!!!!! grow up. Its ike DS whining "I'm booooored".

He then did one of the 6 or so jobs (and they were all like 5 minute jobs, nothing major) which was to get some bags of baby clothes out of the loft. He totally chucked them down the hatch so the bags have all split and I am going to have to repack them now.

He vaguely helped with tea and then said he'd do kids bath. 10 minutes later he is practically screaming from upstairs "OH GOD NO! CONNOR!" at DS and then "JILL, CAN YOU COME UP NOW". So I dropped everything and sprinted upstairs (didnt know I could still do that) to find him in bathroom with DS (4) lying on bathroom floor. Thankfully he was screaming and not silent. I was expecting there to be blood everywhere or something but long story short he was fine. DS'd been running about and had skidded on a magaxine that hubby had left lying on floor (sensible) and banged his chin in the loo seat and then rebounded backwards to bang the back of his head on the bath, and then crumpled into a funny shaped heap. Hubby was pinning him to the floor trying to make him not move his neck, he said it was all twisted. As I say long story short he was fine. He was freaking out because he was being pinned to the floor.
At this point hubby had to go for a lie down (with the adrenaline rush you see - never mind the adrenaline rush I had - the poor baby must not have known what had hit it) leaving me to deal with bath etc. He is hopeless in an emergency, goes to peaces, panics, then runs away if he can. He later came in to show me where the magazine had been, demontrstaing by laying said magazine on the floor, and then left it there!! Doh!

He then reappeared in the middle of me sorting DS out to ask did I know what the fastest turn around time for dry cleaning is (this is at 7.15 on a Saturday night, he wanted his suit trousers done to take on his business trip). He has known about this trip for a couple of weeks, I can't stand that he is so bad for leaving things to the last minute.

Anyway I then realised he was packing whilst I did the bath and bed routine mening I didnt get the rest of my jobs done that I normally do while he does bathtime, so he finished packing and sits down in front of telly while I do rest of kitchen and playroom etc.

He has since had to go into DDs bedroomm, thereby wakening her, to get plug adaptors for the US (they are in a box in her top cupboard), and he has given off to me for not knowing where his passport is. Why the h3ll should I know ? Its not like I ever have cause to get out his passport.

Honestly I can't wait for him to just go, he is being totally unbearable.

He wanted to go out for our wedding anniversary next week and refused to organise a babysitter so I did that. He was supposed to ask his Mum to babysit for us next weekend for a 30th we are meant to be going to and he still hasnt asked her. His friend lost my breast pump , the friend was meant to pass it onto his wife and left it in the pub when hubby gave him it  so I asked hubby to get the money off him to buy a new one. I'd already asked them to replace itand they just hadnt done it yet - he refused to ask for a replacememnt or money and said I was bullying him do it. He works really hard and is pretty good at helping with the kids, but I am so tired at the minute I feel I need extra help from him and I'm just not getting it. Its his baby on the way too and yet every time I ask him to help with preparing for it he gets really huffy. I just wish he would help without being so bl00ddy begrudging with it. And there's always a condition. So when I asked him could he hang a couple of framed certificates in the kids rooms it was "well you'll have to get some picture hooks, and you'll have to get me the hammer, and you'll need to make sure they are framed, and you'll need to tell me where to put them". Why can't he just say "yes, of course" I explained all this but its like I am talking to a wall.

Anyway thats enough moaning, sorry. I'm not looking for any words of wisdom or advice, just had top let off steam a little.

I'm going to do the jobs I wanted him to do myself while he's away. You know in all that spare time I have with all the spare energy I've got.

    Sorry . Rant over.

    Hiya everyone
I've done very little flying today as my sister and I went shopping for the afternoon and then had a meal without children. It was fantastic. She's another week and a half left so we've lots more planned. I spent some money on myself and am trying not to feel guilty. I bought my children a pair of shoes each (not crocs but similar for the beach and garden) and some belts and you'd have thought i'd given them the most amazing thing ever. For some reason my son has always wanted a belt, lol, could be something to do with his trousers always falling down because he's so skinny. Anyway, tonight i'm popular but sure it won't last!

Lil_me - I didn't realise your son was autistic. My friend's son is also autistic and with him everything is fine so long as thing are going as he likes but he can't cope with change at all. At the moment he's obsessed with the weather forecast but if the weather is different to what the forecast said it would be he has a very bad day so she dreads opening the curtains in the morning!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend xx
