    Hello all

Had a great day yesterday. Loads of street entertainers on the embankment which was great for the kids although DS3 was most unsure of the ones sprayed gold and standing still like statues:rotfl:

Got a new paddling pool from Argos - used my Nectar points (didn't know you could do that) so free - made DS1 pay £5 towards it which is in my purse.

Need to go and make the birthday cake now.

Have loads of over ripe bananas - anybody BBQ'd them and what do I do?

Lil-me my sister used to have real heavy nose bleeds in the summer when she was a kid - GP said it was her body's way of cooling her down and not to worry, she grew out of it.
She was the sort of kid who was always hot and would just strip her clothes off wherever we were - used to drive my Mum nuts - fortunately she has grown out of that too:rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day and remember to Slip Slap Slop:D

  • Afternoon all,

Pigpen sorry i didnt get back to you yesterday i went to the pool for a lounge about. (i help run an outdoor pool!) It was lush. It was packed though but it was good. If they are still in the plastic bag punch a couple of holes in it and post it to Shrivenham. They will be lost in the postal system for a few days as there is a strike on i think so shove a bottle of water in there and a few bicis.

Hope everyone is doing well and the sun doing ok for you.

I've been to work this am and taught some lovely children (and some not so lovely no offence but what is it about boys called Kieran???!!)
Came home, cleaned my car getting some funny looks as i was still wearing my wetsuit from the pool! Then had a shower and cleaned the bathroom at the same time, put my swimming stuff in to wash. Made a salad and put a pasta bake on for anyone who turns up. Hoovered the house and am now catching up with life!

Now to go put Radio 4 LW on, listen to us getting thrashed by india whilst lying in my hammock with a glass of rose wine!!! :D

    Have a good weekend people.
    Axxx
  • Been busy working out in the garden with DH on phase 2 of our garden revamp whilst a friend took DS to the cinema. Lots done and a good start made.

Unfortunately Dh has had a call from his sister to say their dad fell this morning and is in hopsital with a broken knee. He is a frail man in his late 70's so not good.

Hope you are enjoying your new car Pollybear.
Enjoy the cricket Aimee, i love cricket too! Oh and rose wine. :rotfl:

This afternoon I'm taking DS out with me and a friend to give DH a bit of peace while he waits for another update. Off to have a look around some charity shops for a bargain or two.

Hope everyone is able to enjoy the weather and gets things crossed of those lists.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Shell, I just thought you were busy, not good when internet won't work, get onto them about the refund for loss of service!! I certainly would. Hopefully they'll have it sorted soon. If little ones being a devil might be worth avoiding the sweets for now, my DSs have things like raisins, dried fruits etc instead as sweets can cause what I like to call 'issues' one was given a mix up by someone this morning (his friend's Mam just being nice), his horns appeared 15 minutes later and pee'd outside etc working his ticket! The sugar rush aswell when they come down from the 'hyper' state they end up grumpy! As for FairySchool I've seen one advertised, sometimes wish I had a little girl, looks brilliant.

Tinsel hope your DH's Dad is ok, sounds nasty.

Can't say I've ever BBQd bananas Dusty, have seen someone do them, they put them on some foil in their skins.

Cricket zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz not for me but your afternoon sounds lovely Aimee, got to agree with the name, one in my garden now (with many others), grrr!

Shirley ((hugs)) oh we all have days like that, I've posted my purse in the post box before and all kinds (sitting waiting for the postman to do the collection is a tad embarrassing but after the third time you get used to it :o), might be worth a snooze if you can fit one in with that to do list

Had an OH NO! moment, that Moroccan Lamb, well I didn't read the instructions on cooking for the recipe, just pressumed was done in the pan, nope oven in a casserole dish, so I've threw it all in the slow cooker and just keeping fingers crossed it tastes ok. It does smell nice however.

I think the rain might have blown over here (sorry it's headed north Solway) so I might just manage another load dried on the line :D oh and admittedly apart from the laundry I haven't got much done. Been told the battery charger and battery needs to stay on the kitchen floor until tomorrow so staying out of there or I'll fall over it.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well, its a lovely day here today - really warm. Had a bad night with DS last night, as I was out hospital visiting I left him at MIL with DH after giving him his tea and typically DH was late leaving and put DS to bed one and half hours late with no bath:rolleyes: Not the end of world but hes such a rountine monkey - def one of my traits:rolleyes: :o . So being out of rountine and so hot, he was reallly unsettled so feel a bit zombie like today. DH has gone off to the football and DS is now in bed asleep.

Nipped into town this morning, took DS on park before DH left, fed DS and put on DW and thats been it. Just been chatting to the woman whos running the site for the new house and shes desperate to get us in:eek: we're the last ones so they want to pull of site. Really need to do more packing but have completely lost the motivation to do it. Not doing car boot now till next weekend and have viewers in the week and no where to store more boxes. Oooohh, I can feel the anxiety raising now! Nurse, valium please!!!

    Aimee -thats hammock sounds lovely
    Tinsel - hugs re FIL
Solwaykid - not meaning to make you jealous its boiling here
Shell - def sounds like there could be something in those sweets

Hugs and hellos to everyone else!

Have just rooted through the freezer and its fit to brusting with yellow stickered stuff and meat from butchers so need to meal and use it all up. After just doing the online banking, I MUST NOT SPEND!

Got my mum popping in later so ought to tidy up a bit but can't be ar*ed. Might suggest I meet her out somewhere instead. Anyway, will pop off and have a noisy about and *think* about getting organised.:rotfl: Think it must be the heat as I'm normally really organised, prehaps I need a bit of pressure like packing the night before moving or something.

    Enjoy your saturday!

tracyg sorry but it does sound you just need a day off from it all, maybe see it as a recharge weekend then crack on from Monday ? Or I suppose you could be very cheeky and suggest Mum comes over and lends a hand, saying that I think I would hate that as I have my way of doing things.

Well I've sorted the fridge (by Saturday it tends to look like a dumping ground, cooked meat on same shelf as fresh :o ooops but it's done now), found another loads worth of laundry so that is the 4th lot in, hmm, not much else. Will do something soon, well maybe

Erm, how can I be nice about this? She drives me crazy and isn't actually very houseproud/practical. Plus I'm too much of a bl**dy prefectionist and controlling and need to do it all my way. God, I'm a nightmare! lol

Right, am going to do something (what I'm not sure but something). My neighbours from hell are having a wonderful time outside so cna't have LO's window open - I can't wait to move. Ooh, DS is moaning - that will be my something! BFN x

    Afternoon,
Just passing through....... supposed to be making an onion quiche and just waiting for the onions to caramelise......
Have loads of over ripe bananas - anybody BBQ'd them and what do I do?

try slicing down the length of the banana but not quite all the way through so you can slot chocolate squares or buttons in then wrap in foil and warm through on the BBQ - very naughty but oh so yummy.

    Bye for now
    xx

With the bananas - my IL's BBQ then as they are, then split them open carefully and sprinkle with Qunantro (sp? No idea how to spell it :o:rotfl: ) and a touch of sugar - I've stopped having them though as they're so delish I'd eat them all :o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think I may have gone deaf - it's wonderful here, not even any kids outside playing, if it wasn't for the dizzy head (baileys enduced) and the seagulls I'd be in heaven :rotfl::rotfl:

Right off to Facebook again to add more songs (and some food to try and counteract the baileys)- the neighbours must hate me today - lots of loud music and I'm singing along :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Its quiet on here, everyone must have gone out for the day or been really busy flying. OH due home anytime (if he gets off on time) and no tea ready and no cleaning done, but DD and I had our trek into town, got snorkel set changed no prob and I got them to fit it together this time, and DD is happy with a new handbag and she got Spongebob flip flops from the pound shop. Since we came home she's been in the pool while I read my book, played on the playstation and we've walked doogie and had ice creams.

Another good day in kazland but panic set in now as OH will want food (oh and we have to eat too - can feel a takeaway coming on :D )
