lil_me - your poor son'd nosebleeds and how annoyig must that be for you mopping up physically and emotionally! And doing all that bedding
LJD1 - hugs for you and your DD, glad she is coping and at least they have a name for it which I find always somehow helps to be able to give it a label
pigpen - well its official then, you are mad
michelle - I thought you were going away on hols ? Are you just doing days out at home or are you online from somewhere else ? - edited to say oops Iactually read your post properly, enjoy your break
I seem to have missed the gossip about nasty PMs or something, how horrid!
Well we watched Eragon which was ok, not the best film ever but for 25p you can't go wrong. We had an interval half way through for some cake I made earlierIts is microwave chocolate cake and cooks in 5 minutes!!!:j Recipe below if anyone wants it.
DS is well and truly back on form, he has been mesing about all evening, he is supposed to be in bed by 8 at the latest and he was still messing around at 9.45 having soaked his bed TWICE with a drink of water, heis on the second towel over the sheets, on his second set of jammies, and then decided he needed a wee - oo I wonder why. He is not getting a drink in bed any more, no matter how much he whines for a beaker of water I am not giving in any more, I am so fed up of him spilling it. However I have no doubt he will waken in the night for a drink. Sigh.
Right am getting an earlyish night for once, trying to stock up on sleep and rest before hubby goes away for 3-4 days on Sunday
Am going to start new Harry Potter book!

Microwave Chocolate Cake
4oz/120g marg
4oz/120g caster sugar
4oz/120g self raising flour
2 large eggs (I used 2 1/2 medium ones)
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp coca powder
dash boiling water to make cocoa powder into paste
I creamed marg and sugar by hand and gradually beat in sieved flour and baking powder and beaten eggs. Then mixed in coca powder paste.
Ypu probably could just whack it all in a bowlwith the mixer and mix for couple of minutes
Pour into lined dish - I used a lasagne style dish which is about 9" by 7"
Cook on FULL for 5 minutes (my microwave is about 1000W I think).
Turn out to cool.

hello, lucky devil having to do no housework
sounds like you're going to be very busy, you'll be needing a holiday when you get back :rotfl: With getting it cauterised I discussed that with a doctor when he was in hospital when he was about 2, he had loads in there, they said probably best to leave it then as he would just rub it and it would be away again. He's still extremely sensitive now if it's itchy and that's still a concern as it would be a waste putting him through it, trust me he's not very good with hospitals, pulled the drip out of his arm when went in for his teeth and kicked off so much they let us home hours earlier :rotfl: devil he can be. Will however discuss with GP and ask to see an ENT specialist I think, getting too much now.
Speaking of missing people still no sign of galantvr4, boston and others still no sign of either, hope they are all ok.
Feisty fairy, well done with the weight loss, that's amazing, any secrets ? Have a great time on holiday
Solway - if you are that yellow you need to seriously get your liver checked :rotfl: I remember a comment from a 'friend' when I first took ill with gall stones who said 'You look like someone off the Simpsons':rotfl:
JillD the bedding isn't as bad as the mattress, red Transformers my friend got him last year for Xmas are his fave anywayif they are stained I can't see it, but the mattres even with a vax I'm still having to replace it quite regular as it stains bad and he freaks out so much he won't sleep in it, aswell as the extra washing of them seems to cause the cover to drop to bits, oh it's all fun here. Hard floors downstairs and dark carpets upstairs (laminate in their PC room) helps with the clean up. He did have one on a friend's cream carpet
(same one who got the sheets, she knows him well)that took some getting out. Choccy microwave cake is one of my faves
extra nice warm with ice cream, yummy! Chocolate sauce of course for extra luxury and calories
Right I'm off to bed too now, had to strip DS2s bed AGAIN as he's wet it AGAIN so he's got sheets for now at least it's very hot as duvet etc had to come off, dogs dealt with etc, see you all in the morningor not as the case may be for those on their holidays
One day I might be more organised...........

I've been very slack this week.
I've still done the essential dailies, and a bit of the general cleanliness stuff, wiping worktops etc. I really need a kick up the backside for the weekend to get stuff done. Plus someone (looks at cats) made a nasty cat pee smell in the Living room that I need to hunt downIAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Witchypoo, I hope it's not too early for a kick for you. I got more done in my half hour challenge yesterday than I thought possible and it meant I wasn't just faffing about half heartedly!
What is it about cat pee at the moment? One of mine who bare faced cheekily did it in my wardrobe in the week did it again all over the inside of the backdoor last night. Hope you get to the source of the smell today!
Off to work when I really fancy a lie in but I'll be back at lunchtime and get some more jobs off my list which I'll post later.

Morning everyone,
Just thought I'd check in before I get dressed and head to the market, as I've done my meal plans for the next 2 weeks this morning, and need to get some food in, as haven't been food shopping for a while - this is working wonders for my budget, as I was apalled that I spent £125.50 last month on food for 2 adults, and was determined not to spend more than £100 this month. So far, I've spent about £15 in 2 weeks!! :j
Jut need to find one more veggie meal for Monday 20th, so off to search the recipe index in a min, unless anyone has any ideas on here for something that is fairly quick to cook (you never know, the temp agency may call up)?
Had a bizarre phonecall from my Dad last night, saying that one of his friends (I worked in his nursery school for the summer hols one year) has been asked for a reference for me for a job in Cornwall or something (as you can see, I live in West Sussex), working with special needs children as I have a psychology degree too - I haven't applied to anywhere though, so it sounds like I could be being head-hunted? Funny that they haven't contacted me first though - wierd!
Right, have finished my bowl of shop's own shreddies (without sugar on them, so feeling proud of myself for this), and need to get myself into gear as I have to be at the gym by 10, and have to go to the market first.
Will hopefully check in this avo, if not this evening, to fill you all in, and catch up with what everyone else has been up to.
Bye for now,

Morning all :hello: Well I was a productive little madame yesterday, I did all the laundry (except towels) and took it the laundrette to dry so it wouldn't be hanging around the house, Cleaned every room top to bottom but let DD do most of the dusting in the livingroom (her reward was her pocketmoney being rounded up to £5 from whatever it was), packed for DD & a few bits for OH, had a PROPER bath & washed my hair, had a second bath after DD & OH had left for his parents place and fell asleep in it  Popped to Asda and ran into an old friend so stood chatting to them for a while and saw another mate at hers for a bit, but after a bottle of wine & 3 double baileys I had to come home as I was so tired
I was in bed by 10.30. I couldn't sleep properly (I can't sleep very well when OH is away ever since someone tried to break in 18 months ago - I am getting better each time though
) and ended up getting up at 6.30 to go around the house and switch lights off which I'd left on for security (no car outside means we're away usually), then went back to bed until 8.30.
Todays plan is non-existant. I tried to have breakfast but was sickand I have no jobs to do except some laundry & dishes so I'm going to have one last look around the 'net and then I'm off for a long soak in the bath and I think I might go out for a bit after putting the towels out to wash. Might see if my mate is in or not, would be nice to see her properly without kids in tow and without alcohol being consumed :rotfl::rotfl: Might offer to give her a hand about her house if she has jobs she needs to do.
Right, off to check the last of my forums and then bath.. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Morning fabulous flyers
up already, DH was snoring his head off, so I am enjoying the piece and quiet behind the PC for a while
I got some lovely cookbooks from the library yesterday for some inspiration as I am fed up of cooking the same dishes and my teenage DD has all of a sudden got a bit fussy (doesn't like mince any more or pasta ) I still cook them for the rest of us she gets a baked potato instead.
I am in the mood for something different, it might not go down well with the rest of the family though  I want to use more grains and beans but if it causes too much flatulenceand I want to expand my soup making for a healthy snack when kids come home from school.
so for today:
refill defrosted freezer (doing online Asda shop)
ironing
take DD to and from club
kitchen floor needs mopping
general tidy up and hoover
make easy but yummy tea (got book from library:dishes with only 4 ingredients)
Have a great weekend everyone :j :j0 -
Morning all,
Hope everyone ok and happy this lovely sunny day, looks like its going to be another hot one. Perhaps I got too much of it yesterday which could be why I have a thumping head this morning. Even all the sweet tea and slobbing around in my dressing gown havent helped yet.
Cant decide what to do today, only me and DD here today, OH was at work at 7 and DS is at his dads. No doubt DD will want to be in the pool later so maybe quick trip up town to try and exchange the snorkel set that I broke trying to attach the tube to the goggles! so fingers crossed. Then maybe some meal planning for next week and a quick S/S right through the house as I did so little all week.
Hope to catch up with you all later.
PS Lil_me When I was on the A&E ambulances, on hot days we used to get loads of calls on really hot days to nose bleeds. The blood vessels naturally dilate to release body heat and so if you do have a wound its more likely to open up and inside the nose the blood vessels are very close to the surface so are more likely to bleed. For the same reason you shouldnt give people who are bleeding hot drinks.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
