I was singing that same song earlier, while in the shower, DS1 said 'Shut it you sound horrid' :( not good, so I just sang quieter.

Can you mash potato, can you do the twist, now tell me baby, do you like it like this, tell me, tell me, tell me......................................................:dance::dance:

Right, DP fast asleep on sofa, so time to kick him off there and make him go to bed, I'd leave him but there is no sheet on it and he might catch it with his clothes or something, right, bed time, catch you all, hopefully not too early, in the morning :D
One day I might be more organised...........

:rotfl: Nice to wake up to a bit of singing, crackers pair that you are!

All refreshed and ready to go get kn**kered again.
Shirleypark, if you find somewhere that you can get a new body pass the tip on, I'd like one that doesn't creak. Actually, I have a whole wish list ready for when it gets invented.

Up and at 'em Flyladies. Show them what you're made of.

    Have a lovely day.

I've got that song going around in my head now

I got everything done bar the hoovering yesterday - oh, and I need to put the lampshades up that I took down and cleaned yesterday.

Our bedroom is still full of furniture and junk today so I'm just aiming for a Level 2:

Can't hoover, cos the vacuum cleaner is still on strike - if Mark doesn't get chance to look at it by Saturday I think I'll borrow the one out of the office and go through the whole house then.

I also will give our ensuite a clean out (although it's still looking nice and clean cos I've been giving it a s/s regularly :T )

    It's a gorgeous day here today :j

    Morning all

    Congratulations sexymouse:beer:

Hope everyone's kids are feeling better today and all kids are angels today (mine included!)

I was lurking about all yesterday - just never got round to posting.

Well the living room looks fairly tidy (probably not for long) and so does the kitchen but the dining room is like a bomb site!

I shall probably try to do some in the dining room today and leave the bedroom (which is also a tip). The bedding doesn't need changing anyway as I stripped the bed Saturday morning and left it stripped until we got back from Rhyl Sunday night to air it a bit.

I've only got this morning as I'm having my hair cut this afternoon, along with DD, and then going to mum and dad's for tea. I also need to go to the library and get a couple of birthday presents but I don't know whether that will end up being today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Happy flying

DS wanted to put some smilies on. He put Martin on and then said 'I don't like that master' - he'll learn - he's only 3. Normally he sits by me and wants to click on all the hands (ie the Thanks button).

    Catch you all later

mumoftwo - Ikea boxes, seriously all I have bought is these http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/57192396 I use them in the boys room for toys & books on cheap wooden storage racks, DP pinches them for in the shed aswell, for 79p each you can't go wrong, I bought some more the other day and have snaffled 4 of them for my tins cupboard, just happened I used one when emptying the cupboard and it worked well. Can fit 12+ baked bean style tins in one with them sticking up a bit out of the top, you can put them in stacked without anything tipping over, I can fit 4 on one of the big pantry shelves :D Made my cupbord tidier and much more organised. I'm going to get some more for packets etc, I'm sick of cupboard that fall onto me when I open them, maybe I should just cut down the stocks, but I'm a horder and I just know I can't :o

I bought 30 of these when I was having my house gutted - stored books, food etc. I also use them for storing my 'just in case' food and now use two of them for my recycling boxes.

  • Morning all,

Today has started much better - no neighbour trouble last night for first time in 4 nights.... DS still woke up at 3am tho - any advice as to how to get him to sleep longer?? He has just moved to his 'big bed', he has started waking up, seeing his toys in his room and getting up to play with them - he was kicking his football round his room when I went in at 3

Lil_me, thanks for the advice, we have had issues with them since they (and we) moved in last year. They are, unfortunately not the kind of people you can reason with.... wouldn't mind so much, but they have karaoke parties regularly and play spice girls at all hours of day and night..... I did think about playing some Marilyn Manson/Metallica at full blast but would probably get complaints from the other flats (there are 6 in our building)... OH complained to housing association yesterday; luckily as we are the only residents in the building with no complaints against us, they are taking it as red that there is a problem - neighbours should be getting a final warning :j (they have had numerous in the past to no avail)... fingers crossed eh?

No post here today, RM delivery office on strike in Crewe today, so have to make the £10 stretch at least another day or two

Managed to complete L1 and L2 again yesterday, am going to go for the treble today lol

Will check back later - have a great day all!!

Hmm... looks like I've got a lot to catch up on..... have been camping all weekend. Got in from work at 7 last night, still managed to do two loads of washing (post de-grass staining) make a gorgeous tea, boyfriend's sandwiches for today and clean the cooker (I love my stardrops!).
Actually that brings me to a question - on the stardrops bottle it says can be used on upvc windows, but OH is a carpenter so we have a lot of wood in the house - would it be ok to use it on stained wood? How about painted wood? Am thinking skirting and banisters. Luckily I've got the day off today to look after his children - me thinks they might find themselves ironing or vacuuming later :rotfl:

    Morning everyone.

Plans for getting on are scuppered a bit cos DH was in really late. HE was supposed to be in by 2am (from 8am yesterday) but instead pulled up at 5 am. He has to go into the office today, but i am seriously worried about our plan to drive to London tonight when he has had such little sleep, i dare say he will get up when i take charlie up to get him ready so i am leaving it as long as possible, and shot up as soon as i heard him this morning for the same reason. Yet again his job is dominating our family life, and it is driving me around the bend. I suppose i should offer to drive down myself at least part of the way so he can rest but male pride will mean that he won't.

And then it will be the busy bit till xmas, not that there is ever a quiet time of year or so it seems.

Anyway, the latest we can go up is 9:30 to leave for the cattery at 10.

I have managed to wash my jeans, and will do Charlie's bibs after his lunch

Morning all. Haven't done any flying except laundry so I have some cleaning to do today. Planning on going and getting dressed & getting DD up, fed & out to the post office ASAP, then Asda and then I'm going to get in touch with my mate and see if she still wants to meet up to take our kids out. Best get a wriggle on as I've just noticed its 8.30 already :eek:
