I'm a bit of a fraud posting on here but I read the thread most days. No flying done by me for days though I don't need to. With only two of us here most of the time plus the 2 dogs I don't seem to have that much to do.
However I'm not sitting here idle I am planning storage at the moment without adding more furniture and shelves to the house. Just utilising what we have better. Starting with my sons wardrobe. I could do with another couple of shelves in there.
I need to utilise this space better too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Todays mission, should I bother to accept it: empty one of the 2 large boxes in the kitchen which was stuffed at Christmas and has lurked there ever since.
Kitchen partially remopped.. pixie poured the milk from her cereal on the floor and the cat barfed.. see why I don't bother?!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've had a quick whizz round the house picking up and rehoming. Just having a brew and waiting on work to get in touch. Not a peep yet, must have been a good night  is it wrong that I'm relieved I couldn't go?
Need to empty kitchen bin and empty DW - more putting away. Then we are going to meet my mum for lunch followed by some grocery shopping.
It's end of term beavers party tonight, need to take crisps and return beaver teddy
Wet through here but sun has just come out. Have a nice day, all.Bossymoo

Ds1 has finally received his last uni offer so has accepted his 1st & 2nd choices :eek
We have been looking into accommodation and working out how much money he will have left per week. I'm already dreading driving through an unfamiliar city centre on moving in day.
Ds2 has gone to school
3xwm done no whirley as it is a rainy day with a little snow earlier.
Am aiming to sort some shelves of doom and maybe the corner of doom too.0 -
If I have nightmares tonight i'm blaming you DustyKitten!
As 3 bedrooms are tidy, the only one which needed attention was DD's. Yuk, yuk and more yuk, really was the stuff nightmares are made of.
However I have stripped her bed, second load currently in washing machine, and everything that was on the floor or tops of drawers, has been placed on her mattress, ready for her to put away before she next wants to sleep there (she does quite often sleep as her bf), i'm hoping she's shamed into doing it as you genuinely can't see her bed.
All shelves and drawers have been polished, floors swept and hoovered. All's that's left is for me to mop the floor and clean a mirror and her windows and it's done.
Just going to have a break from the smell (we are blowing a gale here so daren't open windows let some air in yet) and enjoy a cuppa before I go back in there.
So far notes from yesterday are workingLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

I've just checked my first post of this thread to get my week's list - good grief I'm not as literate at 11.18pm as I thought!
Anyway I have:
*made appointment for optician's
* will order Easter lilies on the way to the optician's tomorrow
* have gathered all xmas pud ingredients to make later today
At least there was nothing on the list I haven't started.
However, I have achieved very little today so far - does anyone else vow to maximise an unexpected day off then find the time has disappeared with very little result? Infuriating. So far I've
- addressed a birthday card, almost set foot outside to post it when it started raining. Have left it on doorstep to remind me; with any luck our lovely village postman will take it.
- washed up. Some grotty pans in soaking so thought I would have a :coffee: and catch up with you lot to galvanise me into action.
-I've checked emails and have a large number marked for further action
-checked gym timetable and established I hadn't got up early enough to do Body Balance
Oh well keep smiling everyone - you may not feel like it, but apparently it uses more calories. That's what my zumba instructor says anyway (sylph like 22yr old nymph that she is - huh).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Oh no Elasticmoney what a mess. Does that mean you've got to empty out and redecorate the study? In your spare time of course. Have a large drink of choice.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0

Elastic.. get the insurance company on it.. they can get bodies to come sort decor/furnishings that are damaged.. and this is exactly what you have insurance for otherwise it is a huge waste of the money you put into it on a monthly basis! You shouldn't have to do any of it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

debt free as of feb 2015. Now saving for deposit for new house! Moving in June 2015!!!0 -
Filing done. A job that used to take me days now takes minutes thanks to Flyldies.
An entire batch of crytalized ginger Twinks baked for the lodger who organised tickets for us to see the BRB triple bill last night, all three of which are modern. I loved the third one so much I was crying by the end, which is most unlike me. Proper visceral stuff. Fab.
OH switched the WM off at the socket which is hidden behind it and told the lodger who has been a PITA that it's out of order. Tee hee. It means we won't have her soggy laundry cluttering the radiators up, which she was told was a problem in this house. Why won't they be told? It also means I can't do any laundry until she's gone on Sunday but I don't care - tra la tra la tra la.Better is good enough.0
