Just finished paid stuff. After a fashion. Will need to speak to the boys tomorrow, when they eventually roll in after tonight's festivities. 2 of the 3 are Irish, and since they are in Ireland, that means compulsory alcohol. I expect I'll be up before any of them, but I've told them to text me.
I did get some washing done and set DW going. DS has no clean school sweater so fingers crossed it dries in time. Also just done a very quick S&S in my bathroom as I'd put a harpic tablet in the loo this morning. All sparkly again
Me n DD need to do some shopping tomorrow, I want to double up done nectar points for the clothing sale that starts Tuesday. Kids need pjs and undies so with double up and 25% off we should be able to get plenty.
Also might invest in a pair of smaller jeans for me
Well I'm officially bushed. Quick browse then I'll be throwing out some zzz'sBossymoo

Not a bad day apart from my stomach seemingly objecting to something I ate.......was greedy at carvery on Mon and had some cauliflower cheese so bet it was wheat in the sauce.
Students all turned up today.
Managed swim on way home; I'm really going to try and persevere with this as the gym can be easily on my way home and every little helps. Bumped into a friend just leaving, told her I got bored easily with swimming so just did 20 lengths fast then got out. She put me to shame by saying she always did 50. So I did 30 in 20mins; keep telling myself that in less than an hour on my way home I could easily do that, feel fitter and get a shower to boot thus saving electricity at home.
Mr N & I had a HHC in the garden working on just a small area but really made an impression. Plan to do this as many days as we can as it's not long but very rewarding how much we can get done. Many of my seeds are coming up in the greenhouse.
Swept kitchen floor and tidied a bit.
Vacuumed entire house! Yes I did say all of it. I'll grant you it wasn't to a very high standard; I didn't actually move any furniture around, but it's better than nothing.
Tomorrow's student just cancelled so 2 days off; well 4 really as it's the weekend. I should expect great amounts of flying and gardening from myself....................Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
The bin truck swallowed my bin a couple of months ago and I had to phone for a replacement. Apparently it doesn't happen often but that's why there's a weight restriction on them. It was news to me but I must admit it was rather heavy.
Mine was only half full, they said it was the uneven weight distribution so I laughed and said I'd put loads of air in too but it kept climbing to the topLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all.
Had a good day visiting my brother yesterday - his ABs have kicked in and he is now recoveringfrom the pneumonia that he had developed almost as soon as he went into hospital on Saturday (though there are still plenty of other problems to worry about). My SiL was so relieved when I rang her as we left the hospital to tell her that he had talked to us and eaten a fondant fancy sent in by their NDN - and he was demanding chocolate! Not bad progress for an 88yo
The house did not untidy itself while we were out all day, and the SC cooked our evening meal to perfection
Today's list:
- more emails to tackle the remains of a frog
- get an appt with the GP about my shoulder, which is very painful with a growing bruise (it's 5 weeks since my fall). I've got an orthopaedics appt at the hospital next Thursday but need to know if I am still going to be able to look after DGS+2 next week, or - like kazwookie's IP - might need to have the arm immobilised. Not happy
- visit my friend in the nursing home this afternoon
- shopping for food
- choir practice this evening
Not planning to dust or hoover until the weekend, when we have friends coming round for a meal!
Good luck at the dentist's, Elastic.
Enjoy your shopping for smaller jeans, bossy!
Hope everyone else has a good day too x0 -
Just popping in quickly, I am running a bit late. Going to a training thing at work this aft but it means a buffet lunch - and the lunches are usually very good!
If I manage to do our bedroom today, and the kids bedrooms tomorrow, that means the whole house has been cleaned in a fashion this week and I havent managed that for a while.
Have a good day all - pouring down here, it was wet snow earlier but its meant to dry up. See you later x0 -
Morning everyone.
Dailies and living room done yesterday. Living room curtains changed. Need to find bedroom ones so I can change them. I can't think where I've put them though. Changed furniture around as well.
Today it's dailies and bedroom. Meeting DD for shopping and lunch. So proud of her. She was back at doctors last night and has lost 8lb. Lost 12lb all together up to now.
Heavy rain here this morning so hope it clears.0
