Water, NAS Vimto, lemon squeezed in hot water.

    Hi hun,

Do you rate the lemon squeezed in hot water? from what I've read around its one of those that's often spoken about but actually doesn't really contribute that much ? x

Morning all! Hope you all are enjoying this lovely bank holiday weekend and didn't go too mental on the eggs yesterday! Just quickly skimmed through the pages of the weekend, hello to all the newbies, well done to all you losers and Meg72 your 3am antics made me chuckle :rotfl:

I scoffed my easter egg a fortnight ago so yesterday wasn't too bad, but I've slipped back into bad habits of scoffing bread all the time, we've had some lovely granary in which is perfect with a little butter and salt!! Weighed myself this morning and could have cried. However, today is the first day of me following Eat Glow Nourish, it's actually not wildly off Slimming World. Just going to do it for the fortnight that I'm off and see if it gives me a wee boost. There's a lot of avocado and nuts but other than that I don't think it's too bad. I wasn't going to post menus but I'm happy to if you guys are interested to see what it's all about?

I'm also about to try and cut right back on the salt, I noticed the chat about the bloating last week and I have to confess I do love my food to taste salty so am going to try and get that knocked on the head!

Great news about the loss lantanna :j I try to have 3 litres of water a day in various forms but I do have a LOT of salt :rotfl:

Today I have had a late brunch of 2 boiled eggs, an avocado (mega syns) chopped cherry tomatoes and a slice of wheat free bread i got out of tesco, toasted with some low fat roasted red pepper hummous and a couple of slices of quorn roast chicken slices. It was really yummy actually, I stopped eating avocado when I started SW the first time and had forgotten how much I love them. I've made some broccoli and bean soup for snacking and then planning to have a chickpea and tomato stew with bulgur wheat, sweet potato chips and "rainbow salad" (basically salad with loads of different colours :rotfl:).

Tomorrow I'm planning to use the leftover chickpea and tomato stew to make a sort of shepherds pie, top it with sweet potato mash and just have veg with it. There's not a huge amount of recipes in the book but there are also supplemental books, one for each of the seasons. I suspect there will be a bit of just making it up as I go along!! There's a recipe for a pizza base made with cauliflower which I'll probably have a bash at too.

Oooohhh and I got coconut spray oil, she seems daft on using coconut oil so this seemed like a good compromise because I'm not keen on going back to oil after using spraylight for so long. £2.50 out of tesco
  • I joined approx 10 weeks ago.

I know eating healthier costs more and it is £5 a week which worries people, but trust me, it is the best thing I could ever have done.

    In 10 weeks I've lost 1 stone 8.5lbs/10.2kg/22.5lbs

I've always "tried" doing it from home but it never worked because I never had the determination or support but the weekly weigh in's keep you in check and accountable AND the support from the talks really helps.

    Couldn't recommend it more!!

. I love avocado i have the odd one here and there! Hasn't done me any harm, I also love hummus and have that as a treat every so often! I'm sure after a weekend away next week I'll have that 5 back on but still it's all work in progress!
