I'm definitely not eating enough veg with my meals. Anyone got any good ideas for what cooks super fast? I'm often home alone with my two kids, one is only 10 weeks, so meals are about speed then. It's OK if my OH is home too but in my own is tough.

If you're after hot vegetables, the quickest thing is broccoli, it only takes 5 or 6 minutes. Stir frying veg is also very quick, even quicker if you buy it ready prepared, but the quickest way to add veg is salad, beetroot, and pickles - all speed food.

I weighed myself this morning and blinkin' heck I've lost 2lbs since Thursday.

Stepped back on the scales to double-check and enjoy the moment and those 2lbs were back on again :/

    Shouldn't have done that!

They did an experiment with a group of people who could only eat foods with 1% fat or less and one of the problems they all suffered was constipation. That kind of makes sense of SW having that effect, it's because it's a low fat diet, and the fat obviously helps things on their way.

That does make sense Lois. But for several months when I first started SW last year this wasn't a problem for me but maybe Christmas things have been - arrrgggggghhhhhhh. I have tried to think of anything that I'm doing differently and for the life of me I cannot. Oh well I may become enlightened after seeing the programme. :D

Welcome Sandhy. :hello: Well done on the 2lbs so far. Maybe getting on scales too often isn't such a good idea as our body weight does fluctuate quite a bit from day to day but I fully understand that you need to see if what you are doing is working. Good luck for the rest of the week. Are you new to SW?

Off to empty washer again. Then its down to Mums to do her hair and then I'm hitting Asda and probably Lidl. Oh what excitment I have. :rotfl:

I'm watching it, and it doesn't put me off at all. Is that bad?! :rotfl::eek:x

I'm quite good at watching programmes about the obese and food industries and not letting it affect me :rotfl: I think it's called denial  I can ignore all the bad things the doctors are saying about a pizza whilst eating one myself going ...

Chocolate look lovely tweets, we had some sneaky Thorntons last night :o ha, I just realised we were watching the Truth About Fat whilst eating them! :o no shame!

However, the programme did make me feel like trying some HIIT so I got up early this morning, donned my workout gear and did Davina Fit in 15  nearly fainted 3 times, that's how unfit I am.. I'm hoping my body is still burning fat so those pesky chocolates can get burnt away.

BEG - they say fat helps *move things along*, so try some butter in your coffee _pale_.. That's what grossed me out on that programme, Why would people do that??

Wiggly, we always have some frozen stir fry veg in stock, that way we can add some veg pretty quick to a meal.. It's cheaper than the fresh stuff and you don't waste any.. my dad has the frozen veg individual portions that he just bungs in the microwave but I know these are a bit more expensive, but quick.

On for a healthier day today EE
    B - banana, toast
L - gammon egg muffins, salad, pickles
T - chicken, ham tangle pie (hairy bikers) 3 syns for filo, seasoned potatoes, carrots, salad
    S - milk(2)

Trying to keep low syn today after yesterday but I may add some pufts in (3.5)
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.
