    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Afternoon all!

Happy Birthday Denise and belated Happy Birthday to Shala! Hope you both have had lovely days and remember that everything consumed on your birthday, no matter what it is, has 0 syns!

Today is another disaster this end, still floored by Incredible Hulk week and slept for 20 hours. Totally missed college today, which will have a knock on effect for the bursary

I ate prunes when I got up, then had a roll and butter (hexb plus 3 syns) and just scoffed some fruit loaf that a neighbour handed in for us. Am counting it as 5 sysn as have no idea what it really is! Just gonna have bean chilli with pasta for tea, another carb heavy day but I really can't face getting a shop in - that will have to wait until tomorrow!

Hope you're all having a lovely day xxx

    You're a cheap date!!:rotfl:
Our consultant touched on something along the lines that they had had some training re syn savings and they say it is permitted now but if you aren't losing, it may not be working for you that way and you will need a rethink. I think that was the gist of it - think my mind went on a little wander at that time. :o

Another one here not managed to get head around flexi synning. I just think if I have over synned then try and reign it back in a bit but SW see that as punishing ourselves I think.

Has anyone tried the new mediterranean cookbook. Found the picture of the mussels on the front cover a bit offputting bleugh _pale_

Do you think SW read our thread? They'll be calling it a syn bank next. Oh well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so they say.

It's all about delayed gratification, some people can handle it for longer than others. I understand that some need a treat every day, personally I prefer something to look forward to at weekends or on a night out and I know it would spoil it for me if I could only have 15 syns worth.

I've not seen the book but I absolutely love mussels:drool:. I can't be in France for more that 24 hours before I have moules frites. Moules mariniere are probably my favourite but I like the Italian way too which is virtually swimming in tomato soup. I remember going to a speciality mussel restaurant in Dijon where they had every sauce under the sun including curry and, of course, mustard.

Change of plan for this evening's dinner. DH not sure when he'll be back so we're having burger & chips (with peas, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes) instead as I can do that last minute.

I hardly drink at all since being on SW, I didn't drink much before. Some of the people in my groups need for alcohol scares me sometimes, a woman quit because she couldn't drink five lagers every night.

That's so hilarious, she wanted her cake and she wanted to eat it too, some people.
I bet that person was an excuses person too. Oh no, the beer is not the reason I cannot see my feet without the aid of a mirror!, LOL

Ditto, do not drink really, I cut down a long time ago, very rare that I will indulge in whiskey tumbler full of cider.

Alcohol is addictive, you can be emotionally addicted without been physically addicted, scary really.

If everyone realised snacking started with the likes of, Cadburys fudge and Milky way because the food industry wanted to sell more, then people might cut down.
There was a time before choco snacking.

It is one of my biggest failings :o

Thankfully I managed to get back on it on Friday beanie after our little trip otherwise I would have normally thought - oh well its just about the weekend I'll get back on it on Monday (wi night ). In a way I was glad to get back into the saddle and back into SW - am I being brainwashed :rotfl::rotfl:

I think we have spies in camp maman reporting back to HQ ;). I don't personally use a syn bank but if I know I am going to over-indulge, I will try and pull it back a bit beforehand and if necessary be careful afterwards to limit the damage. Possibly I am a bit odd in that I feel a bit uncomfortable going off plan - still got a good way to go so maybe that is the reason.

It's our anniversary tomorrow and as yet as far as I know nothing has been planned. In pre-SW days it would have always been something involving food. :rotfl:

Stay safe everyone - the wind in howling here. We've had wintry showers and sunshine this afternoon.

Although I had heard of saving up syns before my impression was that it was discouraged so I was a bit surprised to hear the group leader talking about spending 50+syns on Easter eggs :O I assume I wont be getting any Easter eggs this year as everyone knows I'm dieting and that's just fine with me. I'm ok with rationing chocolate out anyway, it is takeaway that is my weakness!
On plan for today, although I still haven't got back into the habit of having breakfast.
Still got my HEB saved up, looking forward to some bread with tonights chilli :)
Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)
