Evening all
and Happy Birthday Shala-Moo!:bdaycake:
We're now home again having been shopping and stocked up on a few essentials. As we'd only spent one night here, neither DH or I could remember what supplies we still had in the cupboard, like stock cubes, frylight, pasta etc so we decided to buy a few essentials and the ingredients for 2 main meals, soup, salad and overnight oats and we'll do more shopping in a couple of days.
For tonight's dinner we had low fat sausages and mash with Brussels sprouts - the first I've had all winter! There are a few left along with some mash for bubble and squeak, or maybe a sprout sandwich.
Tomorrows dinner is going to be Singapore chicken noodles, from the SW ready meal recipe - the one they're now looking for feedback on!Matron_Midge wrote: »Kingsmill wholemeal sandwich thins can now be a "B" choice. They are 5 syns if you prefer to count and they make really good toasties.
Thanks for updating us on that, I really like them. Never thought of using them for toasties...Hi all, popping in to very happily report a
4.5lb loss this week please Shala! :j
I'm really happy about that - it's down to exercise, I'm pretty sure. I did a charity mile walk midweek and 20mins treadmill yesterday, plus a few extra stair climbs at work for good measure.
Hope everyone is doing well and has a good week xx
Wow, well done you!charlie-chan wrote: »Hello all,

And so say all of us!!:TIn group on Saturday they were discussing Easter and how we might wanna make sure we get a treat if we need one (say 50 syns worth of chocolate) then add up rest of total syns for week and divide it by remaining days and make sure you still dont average above 15 per day. So in light of that, I'm doing that with the mcdonalds and can still have like 12 syns a day which isn't bad. When starting out I was pretty good and often had less than 15 but I think I'm flagging a bit now. Didn't exceed 12 today though so I reckon I can keep it updo need to watch the bread though... (yes I realise not having a mcdonalds at all would be much better but we are weak :P)
No, you are not weak! That's the reason flexi-synning exists, SW know we'd all give in if we could never have the things we like. So if that's the occasional trip to maccyd's for you then don't worry about it, just plan around like you are
I'm delighted to hear a consultant saying that selement. Lots of us (me included) do that every week. I tend to use 70+ syns every weekend and then have minimal syns on other days, mainly for gravy and sauces. What SW usually mean by flexi-synning is that you allow yourself a huge amount of syns for a special occasion and then get straight back on plan the next day but not reducing syns. So effectively you just accept that week might be a write off but you get back on the plan immediately.
:T to b-e-g on your loss! Brilliant!!0 -
I never really got my head round flexi synning, our consultant says it is a way of staying in control, so if you go to McDonalds you give yourself 50 syns or whatever but don't exceed them. I just have blowouts and can never remember what syns I had.
First weigh in for me for a fortnight and no weigh in next week as I'm renting a boat on the Norfolk Broads! I think I might just about have a small loss after a fortnight, I'll inch ever close to my target.0 -

Reporting in with a -2.5lbs loss and SOTW award. I can live with that. My good behaviour for the past few weeks seems to have been rewarded :j
DH had a lovely meal ready for me when I got back in from wi - LM Rosemary and Red Onion Sausages, roasted veggies, tiny diced herby roast potatoes and some salad. Having a cuppa now with a couple of squares of choccie. Might have prunes for heb. Haven't used all milk for hea (unless I count the milk in my choccie) but I am not going to worry over that one.
Denise - is cannelloni recipe on SW website. Had a quick look but I couldn't see one that used fennel seeds. Hope you have a lovely birthday tomorrow (just incase I miss you tomorrow)
beanie - must look out for these new hula hoops.
shala - HAPPY BIRTHDAY :A
Crabapple - you so make me smile with your airbags and wobbly bits. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well done you on getting off that sofa. I was hoping to get lawns cut tomorrow before bins get emptied on Wed but that is looking less likely now as its absolutely chucking it down - I know - excuses excuses:rotfl:
Good luck for the rest of the week everyone.
b_e_gAnd so say all of us!!:T

b-e-g - well done on your loss and SOTW.
The cannelloni recipe is the one in the latest magazine.
Maman - I wonder if more and more consultants are saying it's OK to use your syns weekly as my consultant often says it works for some people so if you want to try it then give it a go. She knows that I always have more syns at weekends and then catch-up during the week (although this week I don't think I'm going to be able to catch-up, LOL!)
Thank you for the birthday wishes - will be having a couple of glasses of red tonight to celebrate!
Meals will be SW friendly will be going over syns a bit today:
Another EE day:
B - fruit & yoghurt
L - corned beef & salad sandwich; spread with LTL mayo (HEB + 3.5)
D - Philli stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon, crushed new potatoes, green beans & brocolli.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
Syns - corned beef 3; LTL mayo 0.5; Philli 4

Morning everyone
Thanks for all replies about the indian meal, I ended up having the shashlik and it was lovely not too spicy, the chicken tasted a bit salty though so ended up leaving most of that (can never eat a full indian meal anyway so still came out feeling full) but it was packed full of veggies so it didn't feel too naughtyI feel a bit bleurgh this morning though - am wondering if its my body reacting to the bad stuff cos I'm now craving fruit like crazy this morning so will make the most of it
Today's food will be:
B - Fruit and Easiyo yoghurt, cuppas through the day
L - HM soup using up remainder of last week's veg, bread to mop it up
T - Sweet potato curry SW meal with cous cous and veggies
Syns to be decided later
Have a lovely day everyone, hope this windy weather dies down a bit!0 -
Well a week of slimming world done. Weigh in tonight. Nervous i wont have lost anything.
Stuck to plan quite well although had a meal out Sunday for my sons birthday but made sure to cut my syns on Saturday and Yesterday to make up for it and tried to stick to foods i knew were free or low syn. although i did have a slice of Pizza and a couple of sausages and also a dessert.
Weigh in is at 7:30Pm and i will be back to let you all know how i get on. x0 -
Shala - You may as well have accepted yesterday as an additional birthday, had the fun without the getting a year older!! lol :rotfl:
Feeling slightly better today but that wouldn't be hard as felt awful yesterday! I am still an attractive shade of grey! I have an ingrown hair on my bikini line needs dealing with as well!
Food wise haven't really been on track past few days, been living off pre packed sandwiches out of handiness and probably not eating enough overall!
Hopefully will feel better soon and be able to get fully back on it. As I said yesterday I simply cannot put anymore on right now!!0
