Morning all. Bit of a disastrous weekend this end, don't really want to go into because this week is incredible hulk week so I'm in a bit of a grouchy mood if I'm honest!! Just going to try and stick to fruit for breakfast and soup for lunch most days, that seems to be working out for me at the moment. Will post in a bit more detail once I have cheered up a bit!xx

    Morning all

Have been AWOL for a couple of days but still reading. Had a hell of a weekend, managed to slice my finger instead of my veggies on Sat night, locked myself out on Sun morning and half trapped another of my fingers in my mam's glove compartment on Sun afternoon. They say these things come in 3s so I'm hoping that's the end of the bad luck :p

It's my other half's 40th b/day so we're out for a meal tonight - he's decided on Indian which I'm dreading as I'll have to try something other than my usual korma which according to syns online is a horrendous 25.5 syns  I'm such a wuss when it comes to curries I hate anything that's really hot. Been advised by someone at work who also hates hot curries to have a chicken shashlik - just need to work out how to say that without sounding like I've had one too many :rotfl:

Hope your run of bad luck is over now candyapple. As for the curry - if you really only like korma I would say eat and enjoy and try and pull back on the syns over the next few days. I am not every adventurous and really its mild and creamy only ;) Whatever you decide make sure you enjoy. :D

Good luck with the pronunciation if you decide to go that way :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I'd definitely just order what I liked and worry about it later, no point paying out a lot to have a meal you won't like. It's what flexible syns were made for, just have it with pilau rice and stick to diet coke. You could also leave some of the sauce.

I'm here with a kidney infection to add to my woes, I've been to the Dr and gotten anitbiotics, I'm not going tonight. I'm going home to bed.

I'll weigh on my own scales tomorrow and see what they say!

Afternoon all! Feeling a bit more like my usual self than this morning, woke up with a horror of a sore head, sore back and just in a foul mood in general - incredible hulk week is the new name for it!!!

Well we had some kitchen related drama over the weekend which has meant we can't use the sink! As a result I've scoffed a dominos and chinese that I didn't even want, feel mega bloated today and v sluggish!! Had a couple of strong coffees and some prunes hopefully get me moving again, apologies for the tmi! :rotfl:

Suffice to say the planned fruit and soup hasn't happened, i had a hash brown roll for brunch which wasn't massively a disaster but more carbs than I was planning for. Start afresh with that tomorrow though.

b: hex b roll, 4 x mini hash brown waffles (0.5 syns each) brown sauce and butter (3 syns)
    l: fruit and yogurt
d: baked potato, hexa cheese, beans and some speed veg

Congrats to all you losers over the weekend, and hugs to everyone who needs one esp to you lantanna I've had a couple of brutal kidney infections so know how rotten it makes you feel xx

Oh poor you lantanna. Hope the antibiotics kick in very soon.:)

I agree too that you should go flexi and enjoy it. 3 months into SW I sat in a London restaurant eating a very mediocre omelette and salad ('twas New Year and they hadn't had deliveries) while everyone else was living it up. I vowed then that I'd go off plan on special occasions and holidays. I'd suggest plain boiled rice though if you want to keep the syns down a bit but I certainly wouldn't be sticking to diet coke!:rotfl:

I've not seen the Szechuan pork recipe shala, is it in the magazine?

Hi everyone.. Well it's been a roller coaster of a few days here.. My head is mashed to say the least! I won't go into details but it seems I've been grieving for someone who has turned out to be very much alive.. Cruel and sick of the person who told me and the feeble excuse given for doing so... Drawn a line on that relationship and moving on big time!

My birthday was a bit of a washout, kids took me out but wasn't really in good form for obvious reasons.. Will have to make it up to them!

Onwards and downwards for me now!.. I've decided to set my target at 5 stone lost so 13.5lbs to go.. Eek! ;)

Tried the ras el hanout chicken from the new mag last night, didn't put on skewers, very nice will do again http://instagram.com/p/00Xvaimjft/

I decided to make Thai Prawn and Mango Curry with Basmati Rice today. It turned out quite well, tasted great and filling too!
I did thicken it up with corn-flour, then added a minute extra sweetness, then it was good to go.
