  • Back from my holidays! 12 pages to catch up on?? No chance! Such a busy day before my friends arrive tomorrow for a couple of days. Anyway.... basically it is 3lb on please Shala. Totally expected. Back on it on Saturday once my company has gone.

I think I have more gains than anyone else, lol!

Hope everyone is well. If i get a chance I'll try and catch up with my last 12 pages later!

I never really got my head round flexi synning, our consultant says it is a way of staying in control, so if you go to McDonalds you give yourself 50 syns or whatever but don't exceed them. I just have blowouts and can never remember what syns I had.

First weigh in for me for a fortnight and no weigh in next week as I'm renting a boat on the Norfolk Broads! I think I might just about have a small loss after a fortnight, I'll inch ever close to my target.

I've never understood that either really jock. Our consultant always says things like if you're going to a wedding you could have 60 syns. So am I supposed to spend the day on my phone working out all the syns in meals and canapes! I think the 'staying in control' bit for me is allowing myself the day/meal off plan, taking any veg or whatever as a bonus and then getting straight back on plan when I get home. I think it's the unplanned 's*d it' moments that we need to be careful of.

Have a good time on the Broads.

Interesting that your consultant is talking about averaging syns denise. Your meal sounds really nice tonight. Enjoy.:)

    Morning everyone

Thanks for all replies about the indian meal, I ended up having the shashlik and it was lovely not too spicy,

I feel a bit bleurgh this morning though - am wondering if its my body reacting to the bad stuff cos I'm now craving fruit like crazy this morning so will make the most of it

Have a lovely day everyone, hope this windy weather dies down a bit!

I'm glad you tried something different so now you have other choices than Korma. I noticed last week I felt decidedly bleugh after eating out too. I think it was too much fat/oil.

I'm making the most of the windy day. Washing is out as I need to clear it so I know what's clean before I go away over Easter.

Good to have you back CP. Holiday gains are normal;) just hope you had a good time. I often come back from holidays craving vegetables. I'm sure you'll lose it quickly once you get back in the zone.

'Your' dress is in M&S's national Summer advertising today lantanna.I saw it in my morning paper. And I think it's going to be on TV too. :D

b-e-g - well done on your loss and SOTW.

The cannelloni recipe is the one in the latest magazine.

Maman - I wonder if more and more consultants are saying it's OK to use your syns weekly as my consultant often says it works for some people so if you want to try it then give it a go. She knows that I always have more syns at weekends and then catch-up during the week (although this week I don't think I'm going to be able to catch-up, LOL!)

Thank you for the birthday wishes - will be having a couple of glasses of red tonight to celebrate!

Thanks Denise. Hadn't realised the new mag was out yesterday so will pick one up next week.

Our consultant touched on something along the lines that they had had some training re syn savings and they say it is permitted now but if you aren't losing, it may not be working for you that way and you will need a rethink. I think that was the gist of it - think my mind went on a little wander at that time. :o

    Enjoy your day :)

Shala - You may as well have accepted yesterday as an additional birthday, had the fun without the getting a year older!! lol :rotfl:

Feeling slightly better today but that wouldn't be hard as felt awful yesterday! I am still an attractive shade of grey! I have an ingrown hair on my bikini line needs dealing with as well!

Food wise haven't really been on track past few days, been living off pre packed sandwiches out of handiness and probably not eating enough overall!

Hopefully will feel better soon and be able to get fully back on it. As I said yesterday I simply cannot put anymore on right now!!

    Ouch Lantanna

Another one here not managed to get head around flexi synning. I just think if I have over synned then try and reign it back in a bit but SW see that as punishing ourselves I think.

    Enjoy Norfolk Broads jock :D

Has anyone tried the new mediterranean cookbook. Found the picture of the mussels on the front cover a bit offputting bleugh _pale_

Having hm lentil and bacon soup for lunch and going to get books out in an attempt to try something new for dinner as feel we are getting a bit stuck in a rut.

Washing has just finished (bedding plus a few extras) and the heavens have opened  It has been beautiful all morning - windy but lovely and bright. Oh well will have to resort to rads as not venturing out to garage for tumble drier.

Well I have rambled enough for now and need to get bum off sofa. :D

    Have a good day everyone.

Exactly my philosophy, the trick is to get right back into it and try and not write off the whole day which I did once, or indeed longer. The theory is if you go out for a night, 50 syns, 10 double vodkas, etc.
