:hello: Finally managed to get a few minutes to join in. Have read back about two pages worth of posts.

Beg how are you finding Windows 10. I have downloaded it to my laptop but not installed it yet. I'm a bit wary as had real problems with Windows 8 and couldn't connect to internet with it.

Had my hair cut & roots re-done this morning and then I surprised myself by walking back home, which is just over a mile :D Having a coffee and then I will tackle changing the beds.

maman, I blame DH. If he hadn’t come in brandishing the chocs, all beautifully wrapped in shiny paper and ribbon, or just left them in the hall, then all would have been fine. But a 3yo and a 6yo cannot resist a pretty parcel. And who could let them down by refusing, a} to let them unwrap it, b} to let them open the chocs to have a wee treat, c} to let them hand them round or d} to refuse to take one? BTW, well done lantanna, on having chocolate amnesia!

Beanie, I may have had another couple or 3 after I posted. DH left them on my desk and I came across them when I was doing my final tidy of the evening.

Anyway, it was WI this morning. My scales are acting daft. If I stepped on with left foot first I got STS, if I stepped on with right foot first, I got a 3lb loss! I repeated the experiment several times, with the same outcome. I will declare -1lb this week, shala, because I felt hard done by last week! Also, we’re off to Italy on Saturday, so ……

Didn’t have my goat’s cheese and shallot tart for lunch; found smoked salmon that will need to be used up over the next couple of days, so had hexb sandwich, spread with some hexa Philly light and smoked salmon, followed by an apple. Also meant I saved some syns, lol, but I will be having them at some point in the week.

Oh, b_e_g, I think your original wedding dress could be a good option ;) You might get a reduction in the cost of your afternoon tea! It’s our 44th anniversary on Thursday – my dress is in the loft but I think it’d fit on one leg now :o

Good result, mirry. Have a good holiday.

:T good to have a loss greentiger. Have a great time in Italy. Which part?

Enjoyed our lunch/early dinner. We've grown some globe courgettes this year so I stuffed them with the savoury mince and very pretty they looked too.

I'm wary of Windows 10 too mim so waiting for feedback. I've yet (since Windows 98) found any upgrade an actual improvement. Good NSV with the walk and getting your hair done is always a good confidence booster.

So far so good with windows 10 - I think ;) (to early to make too much comment yet though as I haven't really had time to use the laptop much.

Well done on loss greentiger. Enjoy Italy :D I think I am probably at stage where I could maybe have tried to squeeze back into my original wedding dress - but I have probably changed shape since everything has 'moved south' :D Congratulations on your 44th anniversary on Thursday - are you celebrating?

It’s Lake Garda this time, maman. I love Italy and we’ve only passed through this region before.

We’ve had globe courgette in our veg delivery a few times – hadn’t thought of stuffing them though; I must try that. How long do you cook them? Temperature?

Maybe it’s as well that my laptop says I can’t have Windows 10, meg. What a rotten waste of time you’ve had. Fingers crossed, b_e_g.

I have definitely changed shape since 1971, b_e_g! My dress was a 10 then – and it was too big; I couldn’t get a smaller size. I had to stuff my bra to fill up the top as I was a 32AAA (almost concave, eh!) Not got anything planned for the day other than taking my car to get that expensive air conditioning part fitted. It’s to take all day, so DH will come with me (garage is 15 miles away) and bring me home, then take me back to get it when it’s ready. Maybe we’ll get our tea when we’re out – there are a few good inexpensive (non chain) places near the garage. Ha ha, it needs to be inexpensive after paying for car, also this week we have house insurance and, annual maintenance for central heating, then of course, there’s the holiday! Bad timing! Ah well, you only live once.

    Good for you, joee.

    Tuesday
Breakfast: scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
Lunch: baked potato with beans & spring onion, melon
Dinner: (at DGS’s request) macaroni cheese (8 syns), beetroot, tomatoes, asparagus
Snacks: yogurt, fruit, Del Monte raspberry smoothie ice lolly (4 syns)

Oh,am so thrilled.Have lost 1.5pounds this week, taking me to 1/2 pound under my target weight for the first time this time round :j.This is about the weight I would like to hover around, though still have a few pounds I could lose without going under target.

    Today's menu:
Breakfast:an apple, mandarine and fresh apricot.Would love to have had some bacon and eggs, but was late for a day out with friends

Lunch: a picnic: wholemeal sandwich (HEB) with ham and a cheese triangle (1.5syn), (no marg).Had never had this on a sandwich before.Quite nice.If the sandwich wasn't going to be wrapped for hours before eating,I would have had a salad sandwich.Didn't want lots of syns of cheese on a sandwich,so the triangle was a good compromise.
On the side I also had mini sweetcorn, mange tout, carrot

    Snack: an apricot

Tea after weigh-in: jacket potato with cheese(3syns), egg mayo (1.5syns),bacon,sweet chilli sauce (1.5syns),

Haven't had a cup of tea all day today (!!!),so might do the maths and end up synning any milk I have in tea tonight, and use the cheese as 1/2 a HEX A

Edit: 2 cups of tea, total 140ml skimmed milk(=2syns,so will syn this and call cheese HEA)
also had 2 Hifi bars (6 syns)

Just realised that I haven't been on today. Had a fast get out this morning as took DS2 to nursery and then I was taking DS1 to the pictures. Got half way there and he realised he had no glasses so about turn and back for glasses and begin again. Got there with 5 minutes to spare thankfully otherwise we would have had to do it tomorrow and I have things planned.

Congratulations to those who have lost.

    menu plan for today was:
Breakfast: toast and jam (1 syn), DG coffee (2.5 syns)
lunch: coronation chicken (1 syn mayo) with nectarine in it (I don't like mango as the recipe had so substituted for another speed fruit instead lol), baked potato and lettuce.
dinner venison grillsteak (2 syns), new potatoes, peas and sweetcorn

bit low on the old speed food today, but I didn't really fancy anything else. HeA was milk in coffee.

    Tomorrow:
Breakfast: bacon, fried potatoes, french toast, mushrooms and tomatoes
lunch: cold meat, cheese (heA), pickles
dinner: pasta with meatballs and SW arrabiata sauce
    snack: melon
