I was thinking today about all the things I've cut out in recent years and why I'm not slim :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't eat bread, don't take sugar, drink only skimmed milk, don't drink alcohol. because I don't eat bread I barely eat any butter.
I never use fat in cooking, only Frylite. I don't eat crisps or biscuits.
We never eat ready meals and most stuff I cook from scratch.

I have even stopped having sachets of Cappuccino to save on
    Syns.

You don't have to cut everything out Penny  just have stuff in moderation and use your syns to cover it..

You just feel like your on a strict diet if you can't have things you fancy.. How many syns are your cappuccino's?

Re: the espresso magnums durham - they may well prove too much of a temptation for you. :D How do I know this - I had one after wi on Monday night and there was a spare one in the freezer which I shifted on Thursday :D. Well the losses had really slowed down and I thought 's*d it' - being good isn't working so I thought I would try some naughtiness. Not sure what will happen at wi this Monday but I was sort of off plan for a couple of days but I have decided what will be will be. :rotfl: You have been warned re the espresso ones ;) :rotfl: Enjoy your dancing.

I saw the espresso' ones mentioned on here and knew I just had to try them. Thought I would get them as a treat for over Easter, but when got to Sainsbury's saw the rapsberry ones, so bought a pack of each. Guess what I had with my lunch :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Now I've tried the new flavours my curiosity is satisfied and will not touch them again.

I'm glad they've gone forward, I was getting up at 5.30am for some reason, so now it's 6.30am!

My daughter was getting up before 6 so it feels like we had a lie-in this morning when we didn't hear her footsteps until very nearly 7 :rotfl:

Well done to the losers! Lovely dress lantanna, I like the colour a lot :)

Well, I had pizza yesterday. It was nice! I really am letting myself down at the moment - I know that with all the exercise I am doing I could be losing more, but I am snacking too much and basically keeping things kind of level. I need to spend the next 3 days on plan and then have a proper week on plan after WI so I can get rid of these last pounds.

Once I hit target I can afford to let things go a bit as it would appear I can be quite good at maintaining :o

The cod is 6 syns lush. There is other non-batter cod ont he Lidl list very low syn so I might take a look there. Sometimes it's better value frozen than fresh.
alphabet shapes are 4.5 for 100g
Cookies vary but 6 seems an average sort of syn value

I think maybe your evening meal problem is that you use syns for them and then you haven't many left when you fancy a treat. So like today it's almost weighing up the cod against the cookie. When you do your next shop why not think of low syn/free evening meals you can have and perhaps find some time for batch cooking to help you out during the week.

I think you may be right some days maman; I try and hover around 5-10 syns for tea leaving 5 for a biscuit (sometimes I go to 6 and have a rocky or a kitkat) or a hot chocolate or an ice cream/lolly but recently I have become really lazy and feel frustrated cooking a separate type of potatoes for me when the other two are having chips/shapes. Most of the time I was swapping it for a jacket done in the microbing or mash (instant or fresh) but sometimes its easier not to when I'm tired.

I made a slowcooker full of syn free chile yesterday and had some for tea with wonder bairn and theres loads left so I'm going to portion that up to freeze. Also finding I'm better having fruit and yogurt for breakfast then a sandwich for lunch some days at work, gives me a bit of variety from cereal for breakfast and then trying to muster the enthusiasm to make salads for lunch.

Of to my mum's with wonder bairn today for Sunday lunch as bf is away - looking forward to the food and also a big walk around the local 'park' which is a re purposed mine that's been landscaped :)

Can I ask about the pasta n sauce things, are the syns listed per portion or the whole packet?

If the whole packet you don't half seem able to eat a lot!

Can no one help me with this? I don't want to eat more and not account for it!
