:wave:Maisie - you don't seem to have synned your French toast or mayo, both of these will need synning as well as the garlic bread. Some salad with your lunch would be good too.

Thanks Denise. I had mentally synned them knowing that this would be my full syns for the day for me but should have put them down as it could have confused the newbies thinking that I could have two HEB and mayo for free. Have sorted it. Decided to have salad with spag bol instead of with jacket spud and take out the garlic bread. Had a hifi light instead for 3 syns now, as I fancied a bit of chocolate and the rocky road one just hit the spot.

Make them out of fresh fruit, rather than veg-much better ;).

I have never made the overnight oats, but from what I have read,it is the juices of the fruit defrosting that makes the oats creamy/juicy,so fresh may not work as well.Maybe for the sacrifice of a few pieces of fruit and some oats,it is worth experimenting x
:D hahahah Glad you got what I meant... ewww can just imagine defrosted green beans in my porridge. haha.

I'll give it a go tonight... going to make sure I have breakfast tomorrow since it's my Weigh in.
Had a good day today. This was my menu:

    Breakfast: bacon,egg,baked beans,tomato,fried tinned potato

    Lunch: salad: ham,cucumber,beetroot,yellow pepper,celery,carrot,mini sweetcorn,mange tout,plum tomatoes,mayo (1/2 syn)

Snack: a Hifi bar (3 syns)

    Tea(very late.about 11.00pm .) : 2 slices wholemeal toast with Flora light (1 syn)

Dessert: meringue (2.5 syns) with 0percent greek yoghurt and strawberries

Wow you're lunch sounds lile a rainbow :T
Jedi - I use frozen berries from like/aldi for overnight oats. They can be quite tart so I use a fair amount of sweetener. I defrost fruits till just thawed and there is loads of juice. Layer up the oats/fruit/yoghurt - I use a kilner jar and it looks ever so pretty. I sometimes do mine in afternoon and have it for supper (my danger time). Don't think I have personally done it with fresh fruit yet. Good luck.

Right that's it for me tonight so I will read more tomorrow.

    Beg

Thanks sweet! I have some frozen fruit (will banana work too?) So I'm going to give it a go tonight! Does anyone know how long I leave it in for? Just before I go to bed should hopefully do it.

Great to see you back lantanna.:A

jedi, you probably could use banana but it would go brown and mushy overnight. It'll still taste OK though.

Might have to get some salad to go with the BP as I am a bit light on speeds today and they are very samey (ie tomatoes and mushrooms with both the breakfast and bolognaise).

changed as decided to forgo garlic bread and have a salad with tea instead. :-)

That's a good idea midge. I tend to make my Bolognese with loads of Speed food in it so it's an EE meal in itself. Generally I add mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, diced carrot and peppers and then courgette and celery if I've got that in.

Someone was asking the other day about family meals on SW. I'd say that Bolognese is probably top of that list. If you have any fussy eaters then just grate the vegetables and they'll cook down into the tomato sauce.

Thanks Maman for the heads up on the HB braised steak - finally got round to making it this weekend and it's great! Will definitely be including it in future menu plans. Didn't syn it as 1/2 syn between 4 portions is negligible.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did the same as last time and put a bit of shin in alongside the steaks to have for my lunch today. What amazes me is how much delicious gravy you get for half a syn. It's incredible!

I'm still feeling fat but I'm going to have cheese sauce tonight even though I probably shouldn't. I figured that I'm in target range and although I'd like to be at the bottom, there's no particular hurry. AFAIK, now that the weekend's over I should be able to stay on plan until Friday evening. I'll get there but definitely by the scenic route;).

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast
L: LO HB beef in gravy with LO potatoes and veg
D: baked haddock, new potatoes, broccoli& cauli cheese
Syns: scrape of spread, cheese sauce
