Jedi - I use frozen berries from like/aldi for overnight oats. They can be quite tart so I use a fair amount of sweetener. I defrost fruits till just thawed and there is loads of juice. Layer up the oats/fruit/yoghurt - I use a kilner jar and it looks ever so pretty. I sometimes do mine in afternoon and have it for supper (my danger time). Don't think I have personally done it with fresh fruit yet. Good luck.

Right that's it for me tonight so I will read more tomorrow.

wow tried to post yesterday but the reply to post was just not working for me so I gave up!

Anyway welcome to the newbies and well done to those who have lost over the weekend.

Sunday went quite well for me but I went one over my syns yesterday as I had a small eclair from Sainsbugs for pudding as a treat.

    Today's menu looks like this:

Breakfast: bacon, mushrooms, tomato and French toast (6 Syns)
Lunch: Tuna sweetcorn Mayonnaise (1 syn) and Baked potato
    Dinner: Spaghetti bolognaise, salad
Snacks: Finn crisps (HeB) and philly (HeA), raw carrot, cherries and nectarine, hi fi bar RR (3 syns)

Might have to get some salad to go with the BP as I am a bit light on speeds today and they are very samey (ie tomatoes and mushrooms with both the breakfast and bolognaise).

changed as decided to forgo garlic bread and have a salad with tea instead. :-)

:wave:Maisie - you don't seem to have synned your French toast or mayo, both of these will need synning as well as the garlic bread. Some salad with your lunch would be good too.

Had a good weekend foodwise and also kept the syns reasonably low as was drinking Pimms & diet lemonade - a little goes a long way. Also didn't drink as much wine while we were away but did have some last night - getting a bit low on red so had rose which was really nice as the weather was still very warm.

    EE day for me today:

    B - bacon, egg, mushrooms & tomato
L - LO SC lamb kebab meat, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cornichon & FF dressing
D - LO Hairy Bikers braised steak & onions. Will serve with roast potatoes, roasted carrots & some brussels. May also roast some onions if DH fancies them as well.

Not sure what to have for syns today but will definitely have some. May even have a little of the icecream we bought at the campsite we stayed at this weekend. It's really creamy and I only had about 50g of it with some strawberries. Really surprised when I checked the syns - only 3 for 25g! I'm sure that's reduced from when I first started SW 5 years ago - think it was 5 syns for 25g then.

Thanks Maman for the heads up on the HB braised steak - finally got round to making it this weekend and it's great! Will definitely be including it in future menu plans. Didn't syn it as 1/2 syn between 4 portions is negligible.

Also welcome to our friendly thread to all the new people:wave:

    Feeling refreshed

Ohh Beanie that sounds interesting. Glad you're feeling refreshed..
So, this morning I stepped on the scales and what can I say but

Well done :T that's the last time you'll see that number so definitely onwards and downwards!!

For all the new people who are joining us here is the details of the challenge we run - it's a fun challenge, designed to motivate yourself to reaching a mini target every 8-9 weeks. We don't compete against each other but we do nominate a SOTW (slimmer of the week) each week based on the losses for that week.

So today is the start of week 4 - we're on a 9 week challenge so we have 6 weeks left.. what could you lose in 6 weeks?? :D;)

All I ask, if you do want to join, is could you post your target/losses each week in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily - I sometimes miss them as the board moves quite quickly at times.

Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on the day you get weighed and i'll add it to the correct week.

    Jedi - I've put you down for 15lbs :D

oh and we post the chart on a Tuesday night so you can see how much all the wonderful members have lost..

    In 3 weeks so far we've lost 5 stone:j:j
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.
