    Congrats on SOTW UKTigerlilly

Well done on the loss meg and wow to only being 1/2lb off target.

Hello tryingtocutback love the user name can be used for so many things in life!!

    Well done to lush,

Annie great loss. Do you have much more to lose as you have done terrific already?

Well weigh in was as bad as I thought having been away on holiday but I have decided to draw a line under it and start again from scratch. Today's menu is:

Breakfast: Mushroom, pepper and potato omelette
Lunch: salmon with salad, dressing (4 tbsp 2 syns)
Dinner: chicken curry with broccoli and asparagus (popadoms 2.5 syns each)
Snacks: fruit, raw carrot, yoghurt, finn crisps (HEb) and Philadelphia (HEa)
  • -1LB for me this week.
Bacon wrapped chicken with SW BBQ sauce, new pots and salad for lunch and SW quiche for tea with more salad or maybe beans.
Mullerlights and peaches will feature too.

    Afternoon :)

First chance I've had to check the thread today - we haven't had a huge number of customers, but had visits from 2 lots of friends so obviously had to have a cuppa and a chinwag! I had a list of things to do this morning too...:rotfl:

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done UKTigerlily for SOTW :T - what a great loss.

Welcome tryingtocutback - I'm sure you'll find plenty of help and support from the lovely people on this thread. I use syns for wine too but for the last month or so I've only been drinking at the weekend. I was drinking a glass or 2 every night but decided to follow the health expert's advice and have a few days off every week.

Beanie - I tend to use the 175ml syn value for wine as that is 1/4 of a bottle. DH and I usually share a bottle, so it's 12 syns for 1/2.

Meg - thanks for the Iceland tip. I really must get there in the next few days to stock up before the summer holiday chaos starts. Once the schools break up we open from 8am to 8pm and while DH and I are not both in the shop the whole time, it does tie me to the site for the duration. Iceland is at least 30mins away, so not somewhere I can just pop out to when it's busy.

Well done to all the losers this week. Have a good day everyone.

There is nothing wrong with using your syns for wine if that's what you want to use them on. There are a few on here, including me, who use most of our syns on wine.

I use small amounts of syns as part of meals but the vast majority are used for wine, mostly at the weekend but also some during the week.

And me too!! It would spoil the treat for me if I knew I could only have a single glass so I'd prefer to save up my syns and have what I fancy at the weekends.

tryingtocutback, I'd suggest some Speed food with your dinner instead of/as well as beans. With burgers I'd have tomatoes and mushrooms (baked in the oven alongside the SW chips) and a load of fried onions (although wouldn't have those with an egg).

Thanks for that meg. I'm not surprised they're on offer. I don't think they've been the success that SW had hoped.

I've got sausages out for tonight but not decided whether to have sausage and mash or do a bake with Mediterranean veg. ETA: I'll go for the latter so no gravy syns needed.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, baked beans
L: fried LO veg and cold pork
    D: sausage, potatoes and veg
Syns: scrape of spread, 2 syns for sausages

Not decided whether to go to WI tomorrow as clean jeans tell me I've not got rid of holiday gain. Suppose I'd better face the music:(.

Good for you, Annie and Midge.

Shala, I plan to do just that. I’ll make a chocolate cake, which I hate, although I always think it looks so good! I’m also making microwave meringues because I have left over egg white. I don’t really like them either. The less than perfect ones I use with fruit or crush in ice cream, or eton mess.

    Great resolve, Maisie.

Sorry greentiger I'm just going to give my head a shake and read your post again................. you hate chocolate cake ............... sorry - just cannot comprehend that one. Will try again later. :rotfl:

Well done to all other losers - you are all amazing :T

DH has suggested we go out for tea tonight as he has two free Gourmet Burger Meals to be used. Yes I could ask for salad instead of chips or I can get chips and eat half of them and stick the other half on DH's plate. :undecided :rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi everyone

Weigh in day for me and chuffed to see I'm 1.5lb lighter this week. Well done UKTigerLily on SOTW :T

I've been messing about with green days for the past 2 weeks as well as EE and trying to have at least 1 veggie day a week. I must say the extra HEs on these day help a lot and I feel I need less syns on these days. I'm right in thinking you get 2 of each on a green day? - correct me if I'm wrong though as there's not a lot of info out there on red & green days that I could find as I know they're not used much anymore.

Yesterday I did a no carb day and felt so much better for it. Normally I fill up on pasta or potatoes and end up feeling so sluggish. But I had lots of beans and pulses and speed foods yesterday and drank more water than normal. Thought I'd struggle without carbs but it wasn't so bad. Not quite EESP as every time I've given that a go I've ruined it by not being able to resist a banana or a muller :p

Have a great day everyone

I am sure you are right Maman they have not been the success they hoped for but really they are just too expensive, in our Iceland they are right next to weight watcher meals at 79p.

I do like the meals but now only buy the sausages meatballs and
burgers just to keep in for something quick when I have run out of HM.
