  • Good morning - Day 1 for me!

    Here is my menu:-
    Breakfast - 2 x weetabix and skimmed milk (A&B)
Lunch - Chicken, lettuce, beetroot, pasta, mixed beans, carrots - plus maybe a small amount of light mayo which I will take from syns
Dinner - Egg fried in fry light with SW chips and baked beans (the Egg may be replaced with a SW burger - not sure yet)
Snacks - apple, banana, melon, activia 0% yoghurt

To be honest my evening glass of wine (or 2) will be my challenge - I am REALLY going to try hard to have pop or tea and coffee instead!

I know if I have a good day today then I will probably have a good week!

    Have a lovely day everyone.

Being on the fast forward plan has already made me forget some things from the normal plan but I'm not seeing you using many syns? At first, I was reluctant to use syns as I didn't feel I was needing them and couldn't see the point in eating for the sake of eating. It was pointed out to me however, that it would end up being some thing that I could cut back on, when my weight began to plateau. In theory, you could have a glass of wine and still be on plan

  • Thank you - I think you are right that I should plan in some syns rather than just using them on wine etc!

I will have a think about this today.

Welcome to this friendly SW thread tryingtocutback.

There is nothing wrong with using your syns for wine if that's what you want to use them on. There are a few on here, including me, who use most of our syns on wine.

I use small amounts of syns as part of meals but the vast majority are used for wine, mostly at the weekend but also some during the week. Without the wine I would struggle to use my syns! as I don't really eat things like chocolate, biscuits and crisps which a lot of people use their syns on.

Back later with my menu plan once I've decided what I'm having

    Denise.

Have had a look around the fridge & cupboards and decided it'll be another EE day today:

    B - mushroom omlette
L - Fried up LO potatoes & veg, LO chicken & baked beans
D - 2 sausages; mash, brussels & green beans, splash of gravy

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - 2 Ryvita

    Syns - sausages 2; gravy 1; butter 4.

Will still have a few syns left so may have a mini milk or mini twister this evening if I fancy something sweet.

    Denise
