Morning all
Day One for me today. Yesterday started off alright, I had plans in place for all our meals - it was pie night so we had our main meal at lunchtime and we were supposed to have ham and salad when we closed the shop but things didn't turn out that way and suffice to say temptation got the better of me.
Where's that poky stick? Someone poke me with it!
So it's Stick to Plan Saturday for me, which will hopefully end as Satisfaction Saturday.
And the plan for today is main meal at lunchtime again - I've got a piece of pork that has been cooking all night in the slow cooker in barbecue sauce that I'm going to pull. We'll have it with Actifry chips and salad.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi everyone, sorry I have been AWOL more or less since the start of the challenge, after you all gave me such a lovely warm welcome as well
I have not made progress, due to lots of emotional eating and a lack of exercise, but thankfully haven't abandoned the plan completely and am now still the weight I started the challenge at. Not great but could definitely be worse.
Am out tonight which will involve drink and a buffet which going on past experience will be entirely beige and non SW friendly, but planning to eat before I go and stick to spirits with diet mixers. Am also out for lunch tomorrow but again will choose as well as I can and then really knuckle down again on Monday. I would love to see a loss this week! Sorry again for my absence and hope it's ok to rejoin you? Don't worry about the chart though Shala, I can hopefully jump back in next time.
Have read back through but the thread moves very fast, hugs to everyone having a tough time at the moment. Also, loving the motivational day namesStick to Plan Saturday sounds like just what I need!

Bit of a catch up this morning - not been here for a bit:o
I had a strop Thursday night and decided I wasn't going to class.. so I sat in the car instead whilst OH went and weighed, he'd put on a lot and by my reckoning from my home scales i'd put on 1lb
So far I haven't been to the gym since last Sunday as OH has been ill and I don't have the confidence to go on my own so annoyed about that too... think I might try and make myself go tonight though, I have to face it some time don't I. I've wanted to go the last 3 nights but too scared to:(
I need renewed enthusiasm for the next stone to come off (I've actually lost just less than 1 stone now since September:mad:) and to stop fannying around!
Anyway back to the catch up -
Thanks for the info on the sugar free syrups, will have a look for them next time I pop to Waitr0se, we don't really have Asda round here.
maman, wiz - hope yesterday wasn't too bad for you both xx
lantanna - well done for losing when all around you was going to pot :T hope you have a less stressful weekend :j
selement - it's lovely when colleagues notice your weightloss :T
hanert - weighing at home is fine.. I've popped your brilliant loss on the chart:D:T and :T:T to all the other results I've picked up - you're all doing brilliantly, even if you've put on, sts then you're still here and that's what counts!!
Enjoy your holiday Denise - Bon Voyage
Love the fact that your having successful meal times Saver Upper, :j:j i'm sure if one of the kids has caved into healthy food the others will follow suit!:rotfl:Lois:rotfl: If you want me to actually come up to poke you with the stick, then all i'd require is a pulled pork tea  My fave!
Welcome back Shrimpy  good to see you.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi everyone, pleased to report its another 1lb LOSS, SHALA.
Had a lovely day out to Howarth (including Bronte Parsonage), on Wednesday for DD1's birthday. Treated myself to a rum & raisin ice cream and DD1 chose Harvester for her meal so was very SW friendlyWeight loss 0/2st

All in the right direction mim.:T
Let us know how the pulled pork works out lois. Is it the SW recipe? I've only got one Tesco pack left then I'll need to make my own.
You've had a hard week shala, and that row at work didn't help. I'm sure if you went to the gym the exercise and achievement would have a feel-good factor and any toning/weightloss would be a bonus. Do you have to wait until tonight? Couldn't you just go NOW!!
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shredded Wheat, HEA milk
L:haven't decided yet, maybe frittatacorned beef hash, peas/asparagus/mange tout/broccoli
Syns: corned beef, weekend wine;)0 -
1.5lb off for me this week :-) think I won't achieve my goal but I'll be pretty close at least.
ETA: I got my 1stone and ahalf award today too, interestingly the group leader thought I'd be target before the next milestone, but nope got another stone and a bit to go! It's funny how much it varies depending on who you talk to, one of the girls at work said I ddn't need to lose another stone, and obviously the leader... but my mom who is same height and very similar build ot me likes ot tell me how for all of her young adult life she was half a stone lighter than my target weight isalso bmi (which i know is rubbish) will barely put me below overweight at my target so I didn't think it was too ambitious. I plan to keep going towards target unless before then I get to a point where I'm just going back and forth every week despite sticking to plan.
Feeling a bit down because we went round some of oh friends last night and I sometimes am not sure they like me (I'm a bit quiet and socially awkward, but also admittedly a little paranoid) and my oh sweetly mentioned my weight loss twice and how I'd been doing well and they acted like he hadn't said anything (they maybe didn't hear the first time they were sortof also talking about something else between themselves) and just didn't respond so it's not so much the lack of comment on weight loss it's more backing up my fears of being disliked :-( the girl lived with us for a while too so really feel like she should count me as her friend too. Might have to actually be brave enough to ask her at some point if I've upset her. It is possible my social awkwardness can mean I say something wrong and don't realise it....Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -

I normally find that it's the other people with problems, if they are not all inclusive, it don't sound as though they even made an effort.SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -
Congratulations to the people who have lost weight
I stuck to the plan rigidly this week and have been exercising every second day and I had a STS which I am really disappointed with.
However I am going to keep going and plan another good week in the hope that I will lose loads this week.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

You do just that rummer. Unless you're going wrong somewhere which is unlikely then you should get a good loss next week. Not everyone loses regularly every week even when sticking to plan. If you've got time, post some menus up.
smedley's right that it's their problem rather than yours selement. It could be that they didn't like to comment on weightloss because that sort of implies that they thought you were fat before! but having had the cue from your OH it would have been OK to say something. I never tell anyone about weightloss journey unless they ask me first. For general conversation I just say 'healthy eating' lots of healthy food and limiting treats. For anyone that might be interested themselves (aka fat people;)) then I tell them about SW.
Just had a lovely frittata for lunch very late lunch but we don't eat until 8ish on Saturdays). 3 eggs, tinned potatoes and lashings of Speed food.
I noticed packs of braised red cabbage in Sainsbury's when I was out at £2 for 300g pack. What a rip off! So I bought a cabbage for 90p (probably cheaper in Aldi:(), I've got all the other bits in (apples, spices, onions) so will cook up a pot and get 10 or more portions and mine will be FREE!!
ETA: congratulations on your loss selement and your shiney!!:T0 -

That was extremely rude of them to ignore your OH, I would not be bothering to ask if you have upset this girl, dosent sound like shes someone you would want for a friend.Slimming World at target0
