    Today -
B - HEB OSS Original made with HEA milk. Banana in the porridge. V filling.
L - scrambled eggs with ham, cherry tomatoes and button mushrooms. Speed fruit
D - no idea as yet. Have a 250g of 5% beef mince in the fridge. Did a chilli last week. I have pasta, rice, couscous, bulgar wheat, potatoes both jacket and mini ones. Store cupboard full of free food like tinned toms, beans, pulses, tinned peas etc.

    Syns - on booze.

When I went to Asda earlier on today, they had a Feasters burger van dishing out samples of their burgers cut into quarters. I didn't have a sample and I found out they are 4-5 syns a quarter as 16-20 for a burger plus bun which is about 120g. That is bloody crap.

    I made this http://group.slimmingworld.com/recipes/beef-kofta-curry.aspx
I didn't have fennel seeds, so used ground cumin instead. I served it with couscous

Wow, this was one of the nicest meals I had.

    Another good day today.

    Breakfast:Muller light yoghurt,an apple,a mandarine

Lunch:salad:ham, carrot, mange tout, plum tomatoes, green pepper, egg, beetroot. It seems I had also cut up cucumber to go with it,but found it on my cluttered kitchen bench tonight when starting to organise tea.

Tea:a brand-new-to-my-family meal, which was absolutely loved by all :j:j:j.I tell you what, wonders will never cease. When I say "brand new to my family",I made this spaghetti bol a couple of weeks ago, while DS (toughest critic) and DD2 (prone to fussiness) were away. When that went down well,I was more confident to serve to whole family.Well, after pushing bits of food around the plate, saying "What's this, what about this, and this?" DS (11) absolutely loved the meal ,and had second helpings! Then he asked if we still had any plum tomatoes, and went to the fridge to help himself :eek:.If somebody finds my son, please return him home-I am sure he must be missing us by now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
    The bolognaise had onions,bacon,garlic,fresh green chilli,red pepper,passatta,mushroom.

Desssert tonight was meringue (3syns) with fromage fraise, and plenty of strawberries.Gorgeous.

Have run out of skimmed milk,so today have probably had most allowance of semi-skimmed milk

Thanks for kind words. Funeral was as well as can be expected.

I really would recommend the Sainsbury's BGTY quarter pounders. Just one syn each and really meaty. Better than any burger van stuff. I've never liked burger buns, tasteless pap IMO so I don't miss those one bit. And fried onions are Speed food!!

I liked the look of the kofta too. What did you have them with Scarlet?

So pleased your family is being supportive saver-upper and children eating more healthily and adventurously. I'm glad the serving dishes worked well. It has the added bonus that any LOs can be saved for your lunches rather than scraped into the bin so very :money:too.

    My EE day:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Golden Rice (old pack), cucumber, peppers, tomato
D: baked cod, cauli& broccoli cheese, SW chips
Syns: wine, cheese sauce, squirt of HP

Quite a high syn day bit that's usual for me at weekends, balances out though the week.

Couscous. Was planning on rice, but forgot about time. Couscous is one of those foods that you make in an emergency and its free

Maman and wizkid, must have been hard, exhausting day for you yesterday. To me, funerals always remind me how vulnerable we all are and you never know what may happen so make the most of it (says me who is obese and running the risk of major health problems)

After a few glorious sunny days we now have clouds and rain so catching up with housework.

Menu: egg, sausage, beans, tomato, mushrooms
    Lunch: tuna mayo sweetcorn salad
Tea: heck sausages, mash, cauliflower carrots

    HE: milk and bread
    Syns to be decided
