I like your idea, Lois – think first & go for it.

    Good for you, lantanna.

Can you come and do my garden, Meg?

    Think First Thursday Review

Well, I thought first and discovered I can’t go for it on the plan I had!
    1. discovered I didn’t have any chicken!
    2. I have to collect DD and take her to work at 4.30, then bring DGS back here (we’ll arrive about 5.30)
    3. DH has a bowling tie and has to be gone by 6.00, so I told him I’d make mac cheese in the afternoon. DGS loves this) (8syns including my hexa – which I’ve already used, of course now) and he can just help himself
    4. DH won’t have time to cook as he has to take DGD and pick up other DGS and take them home to wait for one or other parent to come home from work. (my son and daughter live in different towns (not ours) and daughter works in yet another. She doesn’t drive and the bus service is not convenient!
    4. not much food in at the moment that’s not frozen solid; not shopping until Saturday (guests on Sunday)

    So:
Breakfast: hexb toast & hexa Philly light, banana (tick – I’d had that before my menu fell apart)
Lunch: Batchelor’s pasta ‘n’ sauce - can’t have this because it’s now mac cheese at tea time. We have 3 yo DGD at lunch time, so need to find something she likes!
Dinner: chicken kebabs, SW chips & dips (if I can chop – or get someone else to do that!) – macaroni cheese, beetroot (short on veg as next delivery is tomorrow and no shops in our village)

Sorry for the ramble. I’m just so annoyed that today has fallen apart already!

  • Morning everyone

Think first Thursday sounds good to me. I ate so badly yesterday as I was off plan, dread to think how many syns I popped into my mouth but today's a new day

    Today's food will be:

B - tinned peaches & muller greek yog (we literally have no food in the house, expecting a tesco delivery any minute now thankfully!)
L - jacket spud with tuna mayo
T - SW chilli from the freezer with either rice or cous cous

Not much speed in there I know, will probably do a salad with the jacket spud and have some veggies with the chilli

Getting back into the exercise again today. I really have to find a decent gym around here that doesn't break the bank. But for now I'll make do with exercise DVDs, planning on dusting one off later this evening.

    Have a lovely day everyone

Wow greentiger what a day not surprised you need someone to do the garden, I decided on voluntary work to fill my time and help me get out more, how you manage to juggle or time amazes me.

Pleased to say I lost 1lb. Been told to have more syns as a couple of days I had none-2. Tips on what to eat to top up the syns to an average of 7-8 per day? Last week I had 58 or 59.

Scarlet - It really depends of what sorts of things you like: how about using some oil instead of Frylight to cook (6 syns Tbs); gravy (4 syns 100ml); garlic mayo (4 syns Tbs) crisps (varies from about 3.5 upwards) or if you want something sweet pink 'n' white (2.5 syns ea); curly wurly (6 syns).

I used to have the same problem when I started SW but didn't like things like crisps and chocolate particularly so used to syn things like garlic mayo; oil and the odd glass of wine.

Since reaching target most of my syns come from wine at the weekend with the odd glass or two in the week.

Hope some of those ideas might help you.

No idea how but I managed to lose most of what I put on at the weekend with all the cakes and only had a gain of 1lb! Happy with that as I'm still just below target which means I've got 3.5lb to "play" with for my holiday. Would have liked a bit more to play with but considering I've not really been on plan properly this week it's a good result.

I probably won't have access to internet very much while I'm away but will have a quick read when I can but probably won't be posting.

I'd like to report a -2lb this week please, I'm not sure how I go about this as I am not going to weigh in tonight but have used my scales at home, they are good ones and are usually only about 1/4lb off the ones at club. Is that OK to do ? or is it not accurate enough?

I've FB my consultant and told her I wont be there, and can I take it as a holiday, but she hasn't responded so hopefully it will be OK.

Well back to my DS who has his Solicitor coming to see us tomorrow about the accident, so wish us luck as just saying the word Solicitor makes me feel guilty!! x

Good luck to everyone, and thanks for your posts. They help keep me on track (well sort of) :D
