Well done wizkid:)
Does anyone have the portable crock pot? I'm thinking of getting one so I can have more varied lunches but it looks as though I might need to get it online as I'm not seeing them available on any shop websites0 -
Yippee 1lb off that takes me to 1lb under 10 stone.:j:j:j
9st. 13 sounds better than 10st whatever.! I. Shall be extra careful this week so that I don't put on again like I did last week.
That's great wiz, delighted for you.:T I've probably asked before but how far are you hoping to go. You're already more than half a stone lighter than me!:pSomething my oh bought recently for a nice savoury nibble was Jacobs salt and pepper flatbreads, only 1/2 syn each and they are a decent size in my opinion
Online it's saying 2 syns for 10g so not sure if that's one cracker.
Melba toast is half a syn. Not much tatse on its own but good with soup or something tasty on top like Marmite and cucumber.
It won't do any harm to cut back on syns just for a trial lois but I wouldn't recommend it longer term. I try to only have wine at weekends as I prefer to have what I fancy rather than stop after one glass.:o What about a few SP days, might that help?
http://www.slimmingworld.com/landing/app.aspx
It suggests that the app is free to anyone. My first thought that it was just a copy of the public website (nearest group, sample menu etc.) but it's saying it has syns and HEXs on there too. Certainly worth having a look.
I've never heard of a portable SC teallach. Is it to use at work?
EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast
L: frittata (potatoes, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms) and pickleslamb, SW roast potatoes & parsnips, red cabbage, green cabbage, cauli and broccoli
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, weekend wine.:j0 -
Good result, wizkid.
Thanks, maman. Enjoy Europe. We had one excursion in the Europa league back in 2009. We went to Vaduz in Liechtenstein. We lost the tie after extra time over there. Great trip though!
Lois, thanks to you and DH for the support.
Overall, we shouldn’t have had any chance at all – 3rd in Premiership v 5th in Championship, 4 weeks since our last competitive game bla de bla Now for the philosophical bit - you must go in with hope and expectation and do everything you can to achieve your dreams. A bit like SW really, so I’m back on it today. I’ve not been shopping and there’s not much in and I’m not ready to face the world, lol, so limited options.
Brunch: hexb porridge made with water, splash hexa milk, banana
Dinner: spinach & rice bake (uses hexa cheese), beetroot, followed by yogurt (½ syn) .
(no idea what it’ll be like, but recipe came with our veg box and if I don’t use the spinach right away I’ll put it off , and I’m not fond of spinach anyway.)
Snacks chosen from: chocolate digestive (4 syns), Special K crisps (4 ½ syns), toast & jam(7syns)
We don’t have any shop in our village so I’ll have to shop online tonight or face the big, bad world tomorrow.
Good luck for today, everyone.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Ah you are right maman! I did look them up and had in my head they were half a syn for some reason. Whoops!Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0

[/QUOTE]
Yes, it heats rather than cooks. We don't have a microwave at work and even if we did, I wouldn't want to use it! I'm sure I saw one in Lakeland a few months ago but they've maybe stopped doing them...this it it here: http://www.idealworld.tv/pp/crockpot-lunch-warmer-336538?istCompanyId=de0801c2-561b-41cb-82b3-faafe8561bfb&istItemId=pmlqitlrq&istBid=tztx&gclid=Cj0KEQjw4qqrBRDE2K_z7Pbvjo8BEiQA39AImbVHNA7NlhCr50MFmtil6xnZyxjaIPIpNthp6SoSh0IaAl8o8P8HAQ0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions - maman, I was looking for portable snacks really although I do like ham and pickles if i'm at home. Denise, I love falafels but falafels don't love me unfortunately
selement - I looked at the flatbreads earlier and they are 43 cals per flatbread - isn't that 2 syns each? e.t.a. I see you and maman have also come to that conclusion - ignore me
Mim, sorry to hear of your gain. Keep going.. you may lose loads next week if you have another great food week! It could be the exercise stalling your loss, I've heard this can happen!
teallach - just a quick note, sweet potato and peas aren't speed foods (not sure on tomatoes) so just make sure you've had your third today, hope that helps
Welcome to the thread gettingtheresometime, I can't see a calculator on the app now you mention it. I always go by the 1syn = 20 calorie rule for anything that doesn't have free food elements in it.
Sounds like a good plan Scarlet - I can just imagine you trying to break a Weetabix in half :rotfl: did it spray Weetabix bits everywhere!
Well I went on a snackage hunt this morning in town - it helped with some body magic too :rotfl: - and I bought this little lot
All range between 2.5 to 5 syns - now I just have to stop myself from eating it all! most of it was sweet stuff rather than savoury snacks though
EE for me today
B - banana
L - pizza omelette - eggs, cheese (hea), tomato puree, onions, ham, peppers, salad
T - Szechuan beef from fakeaway book, egg fried rice, stir fry veg
S - apple, snaps (5) milk (2)
Still have a heb left so I may have a cereal bar later or some toast.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
I'm hoping for a decent loss this week and fingers crossed, my body is being the defiant way it was last week as it's not looking good so far!
Today, i had: fat free yoghurt with fruit and mini weetabix (healthy a) and latte (healthy b)
yoghurt (3 syns) and fruit for lunch
Spicy squash and cottage cheese pasta with less pasta than recipe but extra veg..sweet potato, peas and tomatoes
Kit Kat for snack (5.5 syns)
Muller light yoghurt
Does this look ok to everyone?
You seem to be a bit muddled over the HEA and HEB! HEA is milk or cheese (calcium) and HEB is carbs (fibre) so bread; crispbreads etc.
Came back from our weekend away this morning rather than waiting until after lunch as the weather was horrible!
Weekend hasn't been too bad and I've got 36.5 syns left until Wednesday but 6 of those will be used for a glass of red later! but will leave me with 10 a day Mon - Wed which is better than it has been the last couple of weeks, LOL!
EE today:
B - SW fry up
L - chicken, crispbreads (HEB) butter (4 syns); fruit
D - sausage & bean casserole with mash & brussels (0.5 syn)
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day.

I found it hard to remember which HEX was which when I first started bet decided that HEB was the Bread type things which made it easy.
Shala's right about the lack of Speed food but you'll get away with it as a Green day as it doesn't look like you've had any meat. Wish I'd noticed before as you could have had extra an HEA and HEB. Do you eat a range of yogurts as although your Muller and FF are free you've counted your lunchtime yogurt as 3 syns?
Shame the weather drove you home denise. We had a horrid morning but brightened up a bit later. I went to the nearest little town as I needed a few bits and small Co-op were just reducing fresh food for the day. Bargain cold ham and chicken (for grazing) and some cherries for DH as he loves them and less than £3 for the lot. meg would be proud of me!:D
I use this Szechuan Beef recipe
0.5syn on EE/original 6syns on green- 1tbs soy
- 2tsp rice wine vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 0.5tsp salt
- 1tsp cornflour
- 1tbs water
- 1" root ginger -grated
- 350g fillet/rump/sirloin steak -cut into strips
- spray oil -(I pay for oil)
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 red chilli -chopped -(we added 2 bashed dried chillies too)
- good pinch chinese 5 spice
- 1 red pepper cut into strips
- 1 yellow pepper cut into strips
- 1tsp chilii sauce (optional)
- mix 1-6 in a bowl
- add beef -cover and leave in fridge for at least 30 mins
- spray wok with oil -place over a medium heat
- add 9-11 -cook for 1 minute
- add beef strips and stir fry for 2-3 mins until browned -remove and keep warm
- add peppers and cook for 2 mins -add beef back into pan with any leftover marinade and chilli sauce if using -stir fry for 1 minute
- season with black pepper and serve...
Hope you enjoy your version shala.0 -

:rotfl:Very proud of you Mamon
I did really well for reduced veg today I couldn't get it all in the photo but it included 4 packs family size stirfry and 3 packs salad potatoes. All of the items were reduced except the chicken and packs of gammon, total for the shop was 12.89. lol bought a bottle of wine with my savings.Slimming World at target0 -
