Good evening
Thank you for the new thread. It will certainly be (another) new start for me!!
I have had a bad SW week. I have been out a lot at work, and getting fed whilst on visits and have been too tired to be organised when I eventually get home.
Weigh-in tomorrow morning, but I am gong straight to the supermarket when I come out to get prepared to next week.
I am off to Italy next weekend, so I will have a really good week leading up to it.
I'll be back tomorrow with the verdict from the scales, I oredict about 5 on

Thank you for the new thread, shala.
Pull up a chair, chocolatepennyfarthing, and grab a cuppa – tweets has just made a fresh brew.
That’s a lovely outfit, b_e_g.
Great stuff, Lauri, chocpenny, whiplashy and Lois.
I used to hate making Easter bonnets, Mildredd - and I am quite crafty, so you go for it!
Bit of a disappointing today. I took my dress for the wedding to 3 different places, but no joy re getting it altered . I thought it’d need to be lifted at the shoulders but the expert opinion is that it needs to go down – it doesn’t look like there’s enough fabric in the seams to widen it to lower the narrower (waist) part over the hips. I tried all the shops in that town but still can’t find anything else – everything has the same fitting problem. Even tried separates, but I looked much fatter!!!!!!! And always had to take a top that was too big to ensure it wasn’t clinging to tum/bum. Only 3 weeks today until wedding. I love the dress and jacket I have, it looks good from the front and I feel good (and slim)in it. The issue is just a little bit of looseness across the back which is hidden when the jacket is on. I don’t think I can face any more outfit hunting; the problem is my small top and big bottom and that’s not going to change any time soon. I had a wee greet when I got back to the car today. Writing this is making me think, I’ll just wear the outfit as it is and, hopefully, by the time I’m ready to take off my jacket, everyone will be too “happy” to notice. I could just sidle along with my back to the wall all night! But I’ll be ok about photos as they’re not taken from the back, usually. In the meantime, if I am near any shops, I’ll have a look, you never know. Still have to buy shoes and bag too.
Oh well, no more being maudlin. It’s my birthday tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s plan
Breakfast: (hexb) French toast with raspberries, strawberries & blueberries
Lunch: chicken and couscous
Dinner: family coming over – we’re having takeaway Chinese (grandkids - 2 x 6yo and 1 x 3yo - have a cousin’s birthday party also, so they wouldn’t be fit to go out for dinner), which I intend to enjoy to the full.
Have a good day everyone.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Thanks shala for sorting out our new home :A
Are you just being a wee bit over critical on your wedding outfit greentiger? Bet it looks gorgeous. The dress I picked up yesterday is waiting to be returned - I would have kept it if there had been a little bit of wiggle room around the bottom half and another couple of inches in length.
Have a fab weekend everyone.

hauled my lardy backside to a keep fit class this week, have to start getting active again, hopefully the weather will get a bit warmer so I can go walking again.. am too soft when its cold!
tried a new recipe from lifeline online tonight, beef goulash with tagliatelle, was very tasty.. https://instagram.com/p/0dZk_MmjWg/?taken-by=mich6611
will definitely do it again, would never have thought of serving cabbage with tagliatelle! here's the recipe.. http://group.slimmingworld.com/recipes/beef-goulash-with-tagliatelle.aspx
So glad to have you back 'in the zone' mich with your fabulous photos of your SW meals.
Thanks shala for starting the new thread.
Happy Birthday for tomorrow greentiger. I'd keep an open mind on the wedding outfit. If you see something else, fine. If you don't then at least you have something you like.0 -
Morning all and hello to our shiny new thread - only on page 1 so far, we can do so much better!!
greentiger, it sounds like the dress fits you pretty well so I wouldn't worry unless something else blows you away in the meantimeI'm sure no-one will notice the back, it's just something you are conscious of.
Yesterday went out to meet some other mummies at a pub. You should have seen the size of the cakes - I nearly took a photo to show you all but it would have been torture for some. Resisted all of them and had a jacket potato, plus a bit of veg from the kids dinner (oh, and some breaded garlic mushrooms).
Out for a walk with the family and hopefully a C25K session today if I can get myself sorted out later.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Happy Birthday Greentiger:bdaycake:
Hope you have a wonderful day xx
Mildredd - that proper made me laugh :rotfl: I don't have a plan should the apocalypse happen.. Must get my thinking hat on
Denise - sorry to hear about your ruined weekend!!
Maybe I didn't make the link clear enough but clicking on the "new thread" writing bit would bring you straight here.. I've added a proper link now too
Mich - maybe slimming world should have asked for your input into their ready meals, your meals always look so much nicer than theirs!!
32b - I'm with you.. This new thread is my new "crack on and lose a bit more weight" incentive.
So I'm over the tracker bar incident.. OH and I finished them off last night so there isn't anything in the house that can be snaffled in large quantities!
Off to the supermarket this morning to stock up on on-plan foods and meal plan is done for the week, think this is the first week in a good while we've meal plannedand all meals should be on plan.
Today is a danger zone as OH is out tonight so I need to plan in some on plan snacks for later.. Any ideas would be most welcomedthinking maybe carrot sticks and a dip of some sort or strawberries to dip in quark hmmm ohhh maybe I'll treat myself to a fruit platter from waitrose.. expensive, but I'm worth it :rotfl:
Right off to get my lazy !!! out of bed...Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning - only just, but I'm having the redirecting problem on the tablet again, I wish I knew what's causing it.
Happy Birthday Greentiger - have a great day. :bdaycake:
Sorry to hear you're not happy with your wedding outfit. I've altered lots of clothes and without seeing the dress I can't visualise the problem but it sounds like a couple of long darts would do the trick. I'm presuming the places you've been to know what they're talking about so I'm probably wrong. I bet no-one else will notice it, so try and put it out of your mind and don't let it spoil the day.
Shala - if you've got a HEA left over you could make some cheese and onion on sticks, it's surprisingly 'treatful'! Alongside a free dip and some raw veg you could have quite a feast. Another way to make a HEA go a bit further is to make this blue cheese dip. I know blue cheese isn't really a HEA but I bend the rules.
Happy to say the weather forecast was wrong, we can see the sky again and the sun is out.I've got a load of washing nearly done and another one to put in so thankfully it will all dry today.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Quick post & run today, we're visiting my mam for her Mother's Day treat. Just going to the Toby as she enjoy's that.
As I might have expected after last weeks meals out, its a 1lb GAIN, SHALAThought I'd managed to avoid it as been pretty good all week plus did slightly extra exercise. Will try a few more SP days next week as these were very slim on the ground this last week.
Wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREENTIGER
((Hugs)) re the dress, I'm sure you'll look lovely in it, nobody looks at the backs of dresses anyway.

Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes. That cake is delicious. It’s a lovely spring day her and it fair lifts the spirits!
:j:D
Thanks too for the outfit comments. You’re all right of course; I suppose it’s just that I wanted it to be perfect – well, it is perfect for me. Everyone who has seen me in it has said it looks good, and as they are all close family or very good friends, I trust them. Also, I tried it on with the iron clad undies and it does come down a bit, so the wee bit at the back isn’t quite so noticeable. I’m happy with my decision now.Sorry I was so miserable last night.
Lois, one of the places I went to specialises in altering wedding dresses (including my future DiL’s one), so I guess they do know. I do a bit of dressmaking too; I think adding darts would alter the hang of it, plus there are little gems all round the neckline in a pattern. It was a similar story in all the places I went. Oh well, I’ve come to terms with it all now. As I said, it looks fine from the front.
Well, we are off to the match this afternoon – let’s hope we get a win. I’m wearing my lucky socks, so that’s bound to help!

The least they can do for you on your birthday is win!!!:D We're hopeful too but Burnley are no pushover despite their lowly position.
Full of admiration for your exercise regime crabapple. On top of other benefit, I'm sure it's good for you to get out on your own for a while.
I prefer savoury bits shala so a fruit platter wouldn't cut it for me (even if it was from Waitrose;)). I'd either make myself an indulgent meal that DH doesn't like (egg & chips with pickled onions is a favourite) or I'd make a frittata and/or cook some low syn sausages or buy cooked chicken (drumsticks or tikka slices).
Toby's not too bad on SW mim. All you need to do is avoid the massive Yorkshires and crackling. Have a good time.:)
My meal out last night was very SW friendly except for the cheese & biscuits. I must have chosen it when I was feeling very SW conscious. So smoked salmon on a bed of leaves with just a bit of Philly type stuff on the side and then cod wrapped in Parma ham with loads of veg. I'm on a mission to gain a pound but at least jeans are feeling a bit tighter today. Sorry that's not what I should be posting but does demonstrate that being at target isn't all plain sailing. Oh and I did get lots of compliments on my dress, so that was a NSV.:)
I haven't managed to do any food shopping yet, probably won't until tomorrow afternoon so I'm having to be a bit inventive.
EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEA for teas
L: no idea, may buy something indulgent on the way to the match but also have a HEB going beggingsmoked cod, cauliflower & leek cheese, some SW potatoes (chips? new pots?)
Syns: cheese sauce, lunch?, weekend wine:j
I've only got half a cauliflower so hit on idea of adding some frozen leeks to pad it out a bit.
Sorry your weekend got messed up denise, but hope you're enjoying it anyway and same to everyone else!:A0
