Really excited today have finally got off my lazy bum and found myself some voluntary work that I know I am going to just love. I have joined Friends of Telford Town Park, which is a huge, 450 acres, park in the middle of Town. just a few minutes walk for me. They are recruiting members to help in the gardens and community projects like feeding homeless kids, crafting events for children in the park, musical evening and such. Oh and healthy eating cookery lessons for young Mums. I think this is going to be a lot of fun for me and will certainly help keep me out of the biscuit tin:rotfl:

Maman and anyone else who uses the Tesco Pulled Pork - just seen on the SW website that this is now synned at 12 syns for the pack - apparently Tesco have changed the recipe of the BBQ sauce!

No idea if any other SM pulled pork is still Free. Anyone know?

Lantanna - meant to say Happy birthday for today. Enjoy.

Didn't manage 2 pitta breads at lunchtime - was far too much so only ate one pitta plus all the falafel & salad so definitely plenty of Speed. Means I've still got a HEB to use so may have some Ryvita with Apericubes later for 0.5 syn.

Hi again - on mobile broadband on the iPad so hopefully will have less problems than I was having on the site wifi this morning!

Meg - good for you re the volunteering, I'm sure you'll find it very rewarding. I used to work for a charity and we couldn't have existed without the army of volunteers.

Denise - thanks for the info about the tesco pork. If it's the sauce that's changed, is it possible to not use it and still have the pork as free food?

Maman - thanks for the info about beetroot. I like the vac packed beetroot more than in vinegar but I do eat both. I still haven't been any more adventurous than having it with salad though. DH likes beetroot in a sandwich - not for me!

We're just back from the cinema - we saw A Royal Night Out and it was very good. I suspect the writers used quite a lot of poetic licence but it's lovely to think the princesses might have gone out on the town on VE night.

    Have a lovely evening.

    LL :)

P.s. Thinking of you Hanert, hope your son is as well as can be expected.

 that's really disappointing I'll check the packs I have in the freezer (ETA: don't have dates as I took them out of the boxes)and maybe manage to pick up 'old' packs from local (smallish) store seems anything with an end date before March 2016 would be OK. Probably have to make my own now.:(

b-e-g tried BBQ beef that sounded good and was quite low syn. I think it was Lidl.

I suppose you could cook the pork and then make your own free sauce from the SW recipe. I know the packs are a relatively expensive way of eating pork but they don't have crackling on so may be worth it.

Glad you enjoyed cinema lois. I believe it is true that they went out on VE night so not totally poetic licence.

Hugs Hanert, I hope if is feeling better now.

    Happy Birthday Lantanna

I need to give you all a big thank you for this morning. I woke up really craving a roll and sausage/McDonalds breakfast and I had almost talked myself into getting one or the other when I read the boards and realised what a silly decision it would be! So I managed to resist :D

    Well hello all :)
I'm sorry I've been AWOL. I've had labyrinthitis pretty badly, I've been in bed for most of the last couple of weeks. I'm up and about now but still got the dizziness- still feel like I've had fifteen pints 24/7 :D went for my 4 week WI last week to find I've put on half a stone :o I'm only a pound out of target but I've been told I have to go next week whether I'm able to or not! I did say quite bluntly if I'm well enough I will be there and even then I will just weigh and go but my health comes before Slimming World. There's a few of us a bit incredulous as my consultant is now telling people they should be finding a local group when they're on holiday and someone else that they should be finding a group to go to on the same day as stepping off a 24 hour flight!
Even the social team members are starting to get a bit fed up. When you go on holiday you don't want to be looking for a Slimming World group!! I'm going to Penzance next month and frankly after at least an eight hour car journey I'm going to be in no fit state to weigh in. Does anyone know if I transferred groups in my area my target would go with me? My consultant means well I know but I can't be doing with it sometimes.
I've not been on plan properly for about 3 months now. I've just been eating whatever I like- lots of nice stuff :D in these last few weeks I've been ill I've been eating half a loaf of white bread a few times a week :o Haribo galore... Takeaways... Everything. However I have gone back on plan because a) I want to get this pound off because after I weigh and go this week I really want to say right see you in three weeks :D and b) I have my holiday in four weeks and my graduation in five weeks- my graduation dress cost me £40 and was s nightmare to find :D so I have to fit in it :D
So my last two days menu.
