banana lollies you say? sounds intriguing.. would you care to explain?

So simple, cut your banana in half poke a lolly stick in it wrap in foil or pop in plastic bag and freeze. They are really lovely, banana icecream on a stick and of course syn free.

You could dip them in chocolate and put a few sprinkles on but then you must syn them, and of course I am not into syns lol Just weighed in 2lb on for me please Shala

    Well done B_E_G :j

I can't remember who was asking about group but I thought I would share my experience. Twice before I have joined slimming world and after sitting through two weeks of group each time I quit as I did not find the sessions useful or motivating.

Three weeks ago I rejoined and I have a new consultant and the meetings are really motivating. Yes she still goes round each person and discusses their weight loss/gain however from that she teases out ideas, suggestions and support from the whole group. In fact after dabbling I heard a woman speak at group and her story so mirrored my own that I am now focussed and ready to lose the weight as I have seen that someone else has achieved what I am aiming for.

Today I made sure I resisted temptation by taking a good selection of foods with me. In the past I think I have fallen into the snack trap because I am not eating enough of the right foods. So today I had:

B - French toast with cheese followed by speed fruit and yoghurt
    S - Alpen light (syns)
L - Big box of speed veg and chicken
S - 0% yoghurt then sliced pepper and fat free dip
D - Beef goulash with couscous and loads of speed veg followed by and Alpen light and party rings :o

I have stayed within syns and have made sure that I have speed foods near me all day. Tomorrow I have arranged some exercise too. This week I WILL lose weight. Onwards and downwards :j

    Congratulations BEG!

Thanks for the advice everyone - I think I know what I'm doing and then I sometimes realise I don't have a clue about some stuff! :rotfl:

I have had a green day today:

Breakfast: missed due to meeting at work :o
Lunch: Pasta with oven roasted tomatoes and mushrooms and spinach
Tea: sweet potato fries baked in FL, egg fried in FL, tomatoes, cheese topped mushrooms A
Snacks: 2 x benefit bars B (are these still a HEB? They're the Aldi ones) milk in tea for A, one Pringles pinched from colleague! Maybe 1 syn? Aldi version of Mullerlight - think these are 2 syns? I was counting them as free but I saw on Instagram recently that they have a syn value which I have now forgotten! They are fat free and I'm sure it was 1-2 syns so fine either way.

I normally eat way more than this and know I have syns left, might have another munch before bed depending how the evening goes! Just had a v busy day today at work.

Hiya - well done beg, bellcat, saver-upper and anyone else I've missed.

Thank you to whoever it was that mentioned swede chips - DH's favourite meal is sausage egg and chips and every week he suggests it and I come back with "but what about the speed food?"

So tonight we were planning to have said favourite meal but I couldn't find the sausages that I knew I'd bought in Morrisons yesterday. They weren't in the fridge or the freezer so we scratched our heads for a while wondering if we'd left them at the checkout. Then DH suddenly remembered that one of the bags of shopping had spilt its contents into the footwell when he had to brake hard so went to have a look under the seat and there they were. They had to go in the bin of course, after 24 hours in a car and a warm day I'm sure they were as high as a kite, and fortunately I had some LM red onion sausages in the freezer.

We realised when we were eating that we haven't had any meat today so we've still got all our HEs left :D

It's a beautiful evening here but surprisingly, we've got frost forecast for tonight so the hanging baskets have been taken in. We only got them from the garden centre a week ago and I'm not risking it.

Hope everyone is enjoying sunny weather, have a lovely evening.

    LL :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Lost sausages ,, once when my DD took me away for a three day trip we lost a pack of prawns, searched and searched but couldnt find them, eventually she said Mother
youre dreaming you didn't bring them, well when I got home they wernt here, but hey Oh senior moment, maybe I only thought I bought them, three weeks later, terrible smell in the car and her poor DH finally tracked it down to my pack of prawns slipped down between the back seat and the boot.

Good to see you back Lauri hope you enjoyed yourself. I always think weight that goes on quickly over holidays is lost quickly when you get back on plan. Good Luck.
Thanks Maman, I hope so though it's always slow shifting with me :)

Welcome back Lauri - you'll soon lose that holiday weight when you get back on plan. Where did you go, did you have a good time?
Thanks Lois, I was in Las Vegas for 8/9 days & had a lovely time :)
Well spent most of yesterday in hospital having the snip and ended up in Morrisons for my tea. I ordered a salad, they'd ran out, ended up with the New York Chicken, which was better than a pie I suppose. Think I might still report a couple of pounds loss.

    Weigh in tonight!
I think you probably deserve a bit of a treat meal type thing after that kinda day ;)

Beanie sending you massive hugs, take care of yourself x

Checking in for the challenge with a weigh in of+3.5lb after class today, which after 2 weeks off plan & being in the US could've been a whole lot worse I suppose :o I didn't manage to get back on the wagon over the weekend to try and do some damage limitation but hey ho!
Will need to chop my arm off to get my target for this challenge now haha, but I'll definitely try to get there :D

Having a green day for a wee change
B: Raisin wheats & SS milk (HEB & HEA)
L: Kingsmill 50/50 thin (4.5), spread (2), cheese (HEA), scallion (free) and a chicken & sweetcorn mugshot (free)
D: Actifry chips & a fried egg (3 for oil)
Snacks: Might have a hifi light bar or 2 for my second HEB with a cup of tea later

Not much speed going on, actually not much of anything going on there today, it's a bit dull tbh.

I'm off to the Balmoral Show tomorrow so will be doing a fair bit of dandering about and will stay away from bad food choices.

Well done to everyone who has lost this week :) and I hope everyone is keeping well.

Whoa very long post, sorry about that :o

Lost bacon here.... a packet of bacon had slipped out of a shopping bag in the boot of my car but we didn't find it until a year past its sell by date-couldn't work out why the car had a funny smell for ages then went searching high and low in the car and found the culprit!

    Hi all,

I'm just popping on to introduce myself and see if I can join you?

This will be my 4th time at slimming world!!! First time WS for my wedding (lost nearly 3st), then tried twice after having my twins, and now trying again whilst going through a divorce!

I was hoping to join class tonight but dd isn't well :( don't want it to be an excuse to pig out for another week though so I weighed at home and going to do my best from memory this week.

That's my life story over, I look forward to getting to know you all!

Oh and I have 72 pounds to lose to get back to wedding weight!

The little label actually says Hyper which is over active and a great boost to weight loss. I wouldn't have found it funny if it was under active as I know how difficult that can be but as you quite rightly say not impossilble and I would be mad too if anyone was giving my daughter daft advice.

Oh sorry I thought it was hypothyroid but it doesn't take much to get me on that particular soapbox.;)

    Thanks again, maman.

There would not have been as much as 90g ham – it was half a big slice from a Lidl pack (didn’t think to weigh it as I was counting it as free on EE). I didn’t put any cheese in my omelette.

I had a clementine after lunch, btw. I am not hungry at all (just now, hee hee) so I think I’ll be fine with my can of juice – the gas is filling! ;) I may not bother with the second yogurt after all.

No idea what I’m doing now, lol, confused0018.gif but here’s Wednesday’s plan.

Breakfast: poached eggs, beans, tomatoes, hexb toast
Lunch: jacket potato, prawn marie rose (2 syns), salad leaves, tomatoes, spring onions, cucumber, WW yogurt, melon
Dinner: potato & onion hotpot with crispy bacon, lots of spring greens
Snacks: piece of my lemon curd cake (7 syns), hexa 3 mini babybel light & grapes. If I need (?) another snack it will be a can of diet cola

    Syns planned: 9
    Syns left in bank:75

    Here's hoping my-fingers-are-crossed-smiley-emoticon.gif

That looks like a good day greentiger. Plenty of Speed food. By all means call it EE if it's easier to understand for you. It's just that I have really small meat portions and suddenly realised I was having accidental Green days and missing out on HEXs. So (for example) you could call tomorrow Green and your bacon and bread would be HEBs and babybel 1 HEA then you can have another. 55g cooked bacon allowed as a HEB on Green.

Look at some of the menus wiz posts she often does Green with meat.

Yes, Benefit bars (2) are a HEB still shrimpy.

Shame about your freezer lush but it will be worth it and when you get to target you can buy a capsule wardrobe and you won't need many new clothes.;)

Of course you can join nic, you're welcome. Good idea to start today even though you couldn't get to a class. Just ask anything you want to know and post your menus if you think it'll help.:)

If you have purchased a pack containing "Aldi Brooklea Fat Free Strawberry Yogurt ( 175g pot )", it is 1 syn.

The benefit bars from Aldi are also a healthy extra if you have 2 of them :)
