if , and that's a big if they go to court and if they win then the will get a ccj against you
however a lot of if
if they go to court
if they win
if you do not pay within 28 days
if has a lot of hurdles , and most are jumpable by you.
this letter no doubt followed the large upscaling of there demands , the downsizing of amounts ,
has the bevis case got anything in common with your case?
if a genuine letter before action has been issued (correctly) why have they not acted on it , are they scared they might loose (again)Save a Rachael

Read the third paragraph from the end of their letter - too many 'ifs' and 'coulds'. This is still a 'debt collection' letter.
Two choices:
1. Pay up and get shot of this (but no one here would advise you doing that).
2. Continue to ignore and see where it takes you. In the unlikely event of this getting to court (and you're a long way from that right now) the cost to you of losing would be not much greater than the sum they are asking. So there's little to lose in staying put for the time being. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

correct WH are asking £168 , IF excel took the op to court it would be very close to that if not less , if they won , however the satisfaction would be that they would be spending £150-£200 to hire a person to go to court for them , and unable to claim this back off you .
why not ask WH for £50 to save them money:j:jSave a Rachael

1. Please read the newbies sticky, post #4 about debt collectors.
2. Use the search function on ZZPS Wright Hassall. Change default Search Threads to Search Posts which will give you more comprehensive results.
3. If you need further advice after researching the above, please start a new thread of your own. One thread per issue, then advice doesn't get confused and/or any number of randoms pitch in with other issues. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Ours is a similar letter but the car park operator is CIVIL ENFORCEMENT LTD. Does this make any difference to the advice everyone is giving? Although Homebase told me that the company who monitor their car park are called VERSATILE PARKING.0

I am currently experiencing similar problems. In February I parked at what I thought was the overspill car park for my local hospital as it was signed Visitors Car Park. I was unable to get any money in the machine. When I returned I found a parking ticket from a company called Elite Parking. I telephoned when I got home and was advised to appeal the charge in writing. I did this enclosing a cheque for £1.50 which is the amount I was trying to pay. I thought that was the end of the matter. In April I got a letter from ZZPS asking for a lot more money than the original amount. I tried to phone but got a strange tone on every occasion. Finally I did get a recording telling me the mailbox was full for that number. I also sent 3 emails all of which were responded to by an automated message and nothing further. I got a further demand for money from ZZPS which prompted me to again try to contact them with the same lack of success. I posted a letter to them which I know they received as I sent it recorded delivery and it had been signed for. Today I got a letter from Wright Hassall asking me for over £200 I phoned them and finally got to speak to a real person and have posted off copies of all the correspondence plus contact details of the person who witnessed that I was unable to put any money into the machine.
I do wonder if revenue is slow someone deliberately blocs the coin slots in the machines0 -
Why are people posting on someone else's thread? Read the email MSE sent when you registered. On the parking forum you need to read the sticky threads at the top first then start your own thread if needed, not hijack another person's thread from over a year ago, dragging it out of the archive.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
