Morning all..............((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to those who need one, I have PM'd Pink.......
Well I did not think I had lost weight, but when I tried on the clothes I had bought yesterday THEY WERE TOO BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay..................
I have taken a pair of trousers and a skirt back and changed them for a smaller size......
Am just cooking brunch, we are off at 12.45 for OH'd 'big day' its boiling hot, why am I not looking forward to it??????
See y'all later.September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.
Tesco £57.13
Petrol £10.000 -
Thoughts are with you Pink we are off out to Lunch with a friend who has 2 children who are staying with her who lost their Dad a month ago he was around the similar age. Take Care & look after yourself.
Other news
Buttermilk scones, homemade butter & Jam for brekkie, rushed into garden with washing, hoe, lawnmower & various other stuff whilst the sun is out. Bread is in the oven my contribution for lunch date & I am becoming obsessive over reduced cream!!!!
TAke CAre everyone & have a wonderful sunny day. Rachellexx:rotfl:simplicity is key0 -
Just popped back on with a coffee - the ironing board is up and the iron is plugged in and keeps beeping at me, so I've got that far!
CHURCHMOUSE - so sorry to hear about DS1 and DIL - that's very sad.
*nipandtuck* - Welcome to you - have fun here!
DOBIE - I have found several saris in the charity shops - I love the fabric, both the texture and the colours, so I can't resist them when I see them. It might be worth you looking in some charity shops before you look in the sari shops!
Odds-n-sods - It seems to me that your foot shouldn't still be giving you so much trouble - 7 weeks is a long time. I would see your GP just to make sure it's healing well and to put your mind at rest.
Well, washing on the line - I went from not having enough for a load for two days and today I've done two loads! BM is finished - I have just been out and the smell of it when I came back in was wonderful! I've been to the bottle bank and got rid of a crate full of empties; nipped into the supermarket for some Bovril cubes (I've been fancying that lately and the last time I bought it, it was in a jar and nowhere near as good as the cubes); I also bought yet another ringbinder - the paperwork in this house just goes on and on; Sainsbury's had some cheapies in the pens and drawing aisle so I bought several packets of pens, pencils, felt-tips and highlighters for stocking fillers - all for between 49p and 79p. I really need to sort out my Christmas stash; I have loads of stuff under the spare bed and I should go through it and list what I've already bought. I thought I was mad starting Christmas in January so it's great to find that I'm not alone here. So much cheaper, less hassle and more choice for pressies if you start early, I think!
Anyway, when I came back from the shops I told myself I wasn't even going to switch the computer on but the urge was too great. I absolutely MUST do the ironing so please don't stop me!
See you later.

odds-n-sods wrote: »Dobie - just remember, sari shops dont' sell small swatches of fabric, the fabric for saris tend to be woven all in a piece, esp. if its embroidered/woven with gold threads etc. expect to pay £15+ up for cheap sari material. If you want various shades of purple, it may cost more than £80 for the fabric you'd like. Good Luck!
You're right of course but I have one length already & I reckon I need 4 more different colours. I'm getting my colour scheme from a beautiful intricate jewellery roll that I got as a birthday gift. It has a tiny amount of a very deep red & peacock blue. I'm hoping I can get a couple of scarves in these colours as I only need a small amount. If not & I have to buy 4 saris I should be able to get a throw for the bed & maybe a couple of cushion covers too so it'll still be very good value.
Thanks for the tip re charity shops Mioliere. I agree - the colours & textures are wonderful aren't they.0 -
would be great if you could send some sunshine up here, it's overcast and a tad chilly.
Anyway didn't sleep a wink last night so only just got up after having my usual 6am cup of tea. Don't know what I'm going to do today, maybe a bit of hoovering and of course feed the recycling bin.
H.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -
Moliere - its been seen several times at the local fracture clinic, but they aren't interested in the rest of my foot; the doc took me off ibuprofen + onto parecetemol - suspect that's one reason my foot's swelled up. It's been x-rayed 5 times so far and I go back at the end of the month. It will be 11 weeks by then!0

Hello everyone
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Pink, that is such terrible news. Big hugs to you.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Nothing much to report here in v.v.rainy and cold N.Ireland. It's bucketing at the moment, and has been since about two in the morning (yes, I've been awake most of that time!). The washing will have to be strung up inside to dry - I am getting rather fed up of my house looking like a Chinese laundry, but there is no alternative. Well, I've got a washer/drier, but I am too tight to use the drier part more than about once a year:rotfl:
Little kitty didn't arrive yesterday - today is definitely the day though. I'll be picking her up this evening.
My laptop went splat last night - it overheated. Think this is something to do with the cat hair stuck in the fans, and the fact that there are mountains of paper piled up all around it. Perhaps that was a divine message to do something about the state of my desk...?
Bye for now all, have a fab Sunday.

Hi Pink-winged
I am so sorry to hear about your friend, no wonder you feel so torn apart - but weren't you lucky to have spoken with her so recently. I shall certainly say a prayer for her family and friends, who, like you , must be feeling totally devastated right now. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon. I'll be back later, but wanted to post this while you were still online.
Same here Pink. Sending you my love and strength.
Have sent you a PM.
