I am so sorry about your friend but glad that you were able to talk to her and that she knew how much she meant.

DH has gone off to Tewksbury to give a friend a lift to pick up kids beds that he bought from e bay. Friends car is not big enough.

One DD has gone off to her part time job - another two are watching tv and I need to help another DD with her studies.

May not do Sunday lunch today and just improvise something when people are hungry.

Need to put washing on the line as it is a good drying day for once.

The kids are still at my mums we went to pick them up yesterday and they wanted to stay another night so i'v had a really relaxed weekend and its been lovely to just be able to chill out, Although os just hasnt happened this weekend  and this week i had a bit of unexpected cash come my way and all my plans of what i was going to do with just went by the way side i think its because i'm normally on such a tight budget although i did get a huge food shop done and got quite a few christmas presents from the boots sale oh made me treat myself to a few things aswell which i'm feeling really guilty about spending money on myself.
checked our direct debit account and no money has been tranferred into it so nothings been paid have had this arrangement for well over 12 mths so dont no whats happened the money is still sitting in the other account oh told me not to mither about it and he'l get it sorted on monday. So i'm trying my best not to worry and just leave it to oh.

Difficult to plan for today as its gonna be so hot - got my shoulders red yesterday in the garden - so will have to be extra careful with the kids today if they are in the paddling pool again! think it will be too hot to go anywhere and walk in the heat.

  • Morning everyone :j

Haven't posted for a little while, and have had the most NON OS week ever  I've booked our flights to Hawaii (we're going in January), bought a new fridge freezer (our old one is dying) and a new bike (mine got stolen last October) - I feel in complete shock at the amount of money I have spent this week    Still we did save for it, and it all came out of our current account (no credit at all :D ). Next month we'll be buying a new hoover and a new tumble drier, and hoping to snaffle some summer clothes for our Hawaii hols

I'm about to have a bath, and then start getting the roast ready for lunchtime, we're all going round the IL's to watch the footie this afternoon, well DH and FIL will ;)

WM is on, nearly finished so I can hang it out soon - weather here is glorious :D

    Huge ((((((hugs)))))) to PW
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Oh Pink I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. You take all the time you need. 32 is no age is it?

Well our plans are to go buy a magnetised catflap. Bailey cat had us up 5 - FIVE - 5 times last night. He'd spent the day outside, so I couldn't make sure he was kept awake, and then when it cooled down he seemed to get active and kept coming in for pitstops of food. He actually managed to break apart the cat flap housing bashing it so much!

I'm worried about putting a magnetised one on though, because Poppy our feral cat will need a magnet on a collar, and she's is VERY difficult to catch. She's living outside at the moment but comes in at winter. I did try catch her last week but fluffed it so she's staying out of arms reach. She looks like she gained a puffy eye yesterday too so that's worrying. I've no idea how I'm going to trap her to get a collar on her.

No other plans except go through and prepare a bunch of stuff for a carboot. We thought about doing one today but don't have any change ready for it. Probably a good plan since we'd burn in this heat!

Mexican meal for dinner. Prepared most of it last night whilst cooking last nights dinner - whoopee - no real cooking today!

Please try to enjoy summer folks!
  • Good morning everyone

Pink my condolences to you and all concerned on the loss of your friend. (((hugs))) You should take some consolation from the fact you spoke to her shortly before she tied. I will offer some prayers for you and your friend today.
Happy birthday to Amie's DD. Hope you have a lovely picnic.
Hello to the newbies. I'm sure you will love it here.
JackieO how was the ghost hunt? DS wants to go to one at Muncaster Castle but they don't start until October so we may try and do it on Hallowe'en.
Churchmouse sorry to hear of your DS and DDIL's miscarriage. How upsetting for you all. (((hugs)))

Feeling fragile as I overindulged last night. At least I don't have anything to do today. DS and DD go to XDH's tonight for the next fortnight as my boss is on holiday and I *must* go to work so he has taken this fortnight off. I will see them on the odd day though so I won't miss them just as much as I did last week.

I had ordered flowers to be delivered to my parents yesterday for their anniversary. I have used the company quite a few times before so didn't see any problems. My mum phoned at 8.00 last night to say that they hadn't left the house all day but the flowers hadn't been delivered. I was so angry. My parents were supposed to be going out for a meal but postponed it because I told them to expect the flowers. So I have sent a very *plain-speaking* e-mail to the company concerned asking for an explanation and some kind of apology for my parents. Let's see how we get on.

Kyle hope LO starts to feel better soon. You really are having a tough time of it at the moment. I mentioned you because you said you had made your first Christmas card yesterday. Funnily enough, DD and I made XDH's birthday card yesterday and were discussing what was needed to start the Christmas cards. We may go out later today and buy some white cards and make a start.

Off to have my :coffee: and maybe some toast. Have a super Sunday. xx

    Hi everyone!

Wasn't going to post today, as I'm really pushed for time, but really need to say (((((((Pink))))))))) I am so truly sorry for your loss. There are no words that can convey our sorrow for you and your friend's family, but hope you can gain some comfort from knowing how many people care. Off to Church in just a few minutes. Will add Sandra, you and her family to the prayer list.

Unfortunately I also have to add DS1 and DIL to the prayer list since she has just miscarried again. This is the second time, and happened even earlier this time. Told us she was pregnant in the morning, phoned that evening to say she was in hospital, losing the baby.

We had a lovely break in Birmingham and surrounding area. I have now seen the famous Bullring (rather liked the statue outside) and it would have been rude not to use some of the shops. Our hotel was really good, right near The Mailbox for anyone who knows the area. Spent a lovely day in Stratford upon Avon, *doing* the Shakespeare thing:D When we were having a snack at Anne Hathaway's cottage (well the tearooms opposite!!) in wandered John Parrot and family (the snooker player ;) ) I used to like him on *a Question of Sport*. But I respected his privacy and didn't ogle or ask for an autograph:rotfl:
Must dash, else I'll be late for Church.

    CMxx

    Morning everyone!

    <<Pink>>

Another baking hot day. DH out putting up the last of the retaining wall today. It's too hot for me to go out, although I will pop out there in a moment to hang out some washing.

Had a lovely time with DSS1, DDIL and DGD3months yesterday. The really good news is that she went to have a cast put on (she was born with severe clubfoot), and it turns out the baby chiropractor has done such good work that she doesn't need one now. She was in a really gurgly happy mood, and she was a pleasure to be around (this from someone who really doesn't like babies).

No housework today, but I will pop to Makro while DH at pub. They have a BOGOF on Fairy Active Burst and also on Bounty Kitchen Towels. They also have some really nice slides advertised, so hopefully they'll be in stock in my size. I also need some white vinegar.

Not sure what I'm going to do this afternoon in this heat.

Hello to well medicated, and niptuckfan.

I've put a box of hugs by the plant in the corner. Please help yourself if you would like one.

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
