I think I need to move to a different thread 😉. My overpaying-mortgage journey seems to be non-existent these days. As it stands I'll be paid off by 2037, not great and not what I wanted. My fixed rate deal ends next year, it's at 1.64% and will go up to at least 5-6%, even on another fixed rate 😮. This will probably end up being about £200 more a month. So I'm trying to overpay as much this year, but low wages, cost of living, rising bills, etc is making it a bit tricky.
Good luck everyone xx

@ purplevamp - You're doing just fine and I'm sure plenty of other people are very much in the same boat with lower fixed rate mortgages ending within the next couple of years, hence moving unfortunately, into higher fixed rate mortgages 🙄😯. At least you've showed initiative by overpaying on your mortgage whilst you can - It will make a difference when you move to a higher rate. It's such a shame that for most, the rise in living costs means it will take them longer to pay off their mortgage 😣, but it will end eventually 😉.
