Firegirl - I've added you. We also took ours out over the longest possible term, to keep the repayment down if life goes awry. I now think of that repayment as being like the minimum payment due on a credit card each month.
Mummyisbeauty - I've added you too, and welcome! Congratulations on discovering overpayments - it gets really good when you start working out how much interest it saves you over the life of the mortgage.
choccielover - my mum bought me a lottery ticket for my birthday and we won £25 too. :mse: I haven't played the lottery online for years - I did always like those emails, just for the brief moment of dreaming when you think it's going to say you've won the jackpot!
To both, and everyone in fact, if you ever want your entry on the members' list amended, just shout.
Good work with all the recent OPs and MSE moments. :money:
We're up to 24 members - surely we need 25-30.0 -
Would you mind linking my diary on the 1st post. No rush obviously:0)https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/68424641#Comment_68424641

Don't even know of this is how you do it! Lol
Done.
Choccie - good work! I've seen iPhone 5's go for nearer £200 in private sales so if you have any selling channels available (Facebook groups, local networks, etc) then that may get you more than mizuma etc.0 -
Oooh good tip will have a look around then.
Thanks pinkteapot x

Take a look at the member list in the first post and if you want me to add you to it, just shout. You can just have name, original MF date and target MF date if you like.
Thank you for the welcome. You did make me wonder if I had already posted then forgotten about it
Yes please, I would like to be listed in the first post.
Original MF date is December 2026, target MF date is December 2023. Our goal is to be mortgage free so we can enjoy our retirement and travel. And help out our family too.
We remortgaged in 2011 to help with the costs of our barn conversion and holiday let. Our payments are high as we took out a shorter term mortgage. We want to be free of it as soon as we can as the payments are more than half of our monthly income.
Main mortgage is £945 and business mortgage is £337 per month. We took out a fixed rate in 2010 which comes ends later this year. the plan is to find a cheaper mortgage and then make larger overpayments to end earlier.
The immediate plan is to start by paying off an extra £50 per month.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
