Hi, original mortgage free date is April 2042 - I took mortgage out for as long as possible so the min payment, should any disasters strike, would be low.

Thanks for letting me join. I might be the last one over the line but I'm sure you'll all spur me on:0)

Hi Firegirl, my original mortgage free date is 2044 as we took out a 30 year term for the same reason as you so we can hobble over together :D

Well I made the grand OP of.....£45 this week :)

Every little counts thought and added to my £25 std op (repayment set to £25 higher than required) it's £70 so far this month. Hoping to find another £200 to keep us in the magic £179,s otherwise we temporarily slip back up into the £180's when the interest is added at the end of this month, till the next payment takes us permanently under.
No biggie but psychologically it would be nice to stay below.
Can take the money from savings easily enough, but I'm trying to build those up too so would rather not.
Need more (ha, any!) NSD's I reckon. Less trips to McCafe for a cheeky latte and focus on the food spend to keep it down below budget will help I think.
Though I have in my mind a cheeky weekend away for me and DH if I can think of anywhere to go so that isn't going to help!! ;)

    Can I join?
Original mortgage end date is 2032 but aiming for 2025 and earlier all being well. Hoping to be mortgage free by 45 or by time hubby is 55, a year earlier when I am 44.
Only found out about overpayments on friday and never occurred to me I could do that. Doh.
Hopefully at end we can look at getting the Forever Family home with a small loan or make sure we can help our son in future
