Seems as though its twinkly Tuesday, I decided to take down the glass light shades in our lounge and give them a gentle wash, they've come up brilliantly and our lounge really does look as if its twinkling now.

Managed to get most of lounge tidy, apart from hovering, but have almost completed decorating DS2's room, if anyone can tell me how to upload photos, I will show you, am rather proud of how it looks, would hate to sleep there though haha.

White stain test worked fab, so been out and bought 2 tins. Tomorrow need to get wood preserver, and give it a coat, then hubby has asked me to paint farm shed (40ft x 20ft) on Thursday, so that should keep me busy haha, so hoping to start staining picket fence next week as we're away this weekend.

DS1 & 2 have taken DD out for tea with her bf for a birthday present, so seems as it was only the 2 of us, hubby took me for a cheap and cheerful carvery, yum yum
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

Evening all. Hope you've all had a good flying day. Before the paid stuff I managed to clean all the windows. Had to wash the throws on the sofas today too as LittleyDog continued feeling ill for a while. She's fine now.

Tonight I have made a disastrous tea, so have filled up on crisps and fudge (can't face more shortbread at the moment, DD refused a tin Piggers), oh and I've cut DHs hair. Washing up is done but not the DUPA bit.

Can barely keep my eyes open now so think I'll go to bed soon.

    See you all tomorrow.

    Morning everyone

I had to leave the list yesterday due to working a 14 hour shift. I did manage, however, to maintain the kitchen and the dining room from the day before.

Today should be an easier day to get some things done so I'll try to get back on top. I have completed the basic flying for today in the last couple of days anyway so I may get to tackle a different part of the list.

Twinkly Tuesday - Living room, hall, stairs and porch!

Wash any soft furnishings that need it
Vacuum/sweep under furniture you can safely move!
Dust all the electricals.. carefully.. don't want anybody getting fried!!!
Wipe front door.. inside and out!
    Decluttering...
    Vacuum sofas
    Declutter ALL the floors!!
    Wipe down ALL the paintwork!
Clean out your handbag.. how many receipts??
    Binbag dance
    HHI

Wiggly Wednesday- Master bedroom and landing!
    Deep Cleaning...

Little message for pigpen as I'm still at work. I've been listening to a conference on gender dysphoria - some heartbreaking and yet uplifting accounts - and wondered if you'd come across www.mermaidsuk.org.uk. I'm sure you've already found them but if not it might be worth a look. One of the ladies is a mum in your position and the other spoke of her own transgender history.

Thank you... I have bookmarked it.. I read the home page and burst into floods of blubbering.. I need to get this out of my system and then can face the next step.. I don't have an issue with DS3, I have issues with myself, I need to finish grieving for my son and its taking a while getting mixed up in everything else.. his hair is shoulder length and when school rang to tell me to make him get it cut I said no, there are 5 weeks left at school and 2 of those are the easter holiday and if he wants hair down to his knees it's nothing to do with them! There is a transgender boy in the sixth form who regularly wears dresses to school, there is hope of acceptance for DS3 at a Catholic school.. I guess that makes me feel better, a bit.

    Morning all.

I managed to complete my list yesterday (it was rather short, I know, but at least it was realistic!), and having changed and washed the bedding yesterday I am one step ahead of today's flying orders :D

So my list for today is
    - 4 emails
    - dust, hoover, and clean window in BR
    - shopping at @1d1, Mr S and Merry Hell
    - make lunch and give DH instructions for tea tonight
    - pack my bags
    - U3A genealogy group for just 1 hour
    - drive to Nottingham to have Granny cuddles with DGSs and work the flylady magic at DS2's house for 24 hours :)

Back home tomorrow afternoon, but I'll be following the thread on my k1nd1e while I'm away ;)

Hope everyone has a good day x

Right school rang re physio and DS3 who I discovered a few days ago is self harming.. How I am not a raging alcoholic is anybodys guess? ..

Just checking hospital appointments and chasing everyone.. I am exhausted already and I've only been up 4 hours!

Need to sort a Tesco shop for Friday morning.. Squeak is at hospital in the afternoon.

And now I have college twittering about consultation evenings for DD2.. like a parent has any control over how much of their work they complete when they are nearly 18! What do I do? Ground her? Smack her bottom? .. its just silly. I do speak to her tutors on a regular basis so I am in the know about everything already.
