rubies - would love to see pictures of your decorating :D
ClaireT - well done :T when I used to do 14 hour shifts, I used to do NOTHING in the house whatsoever other than basic food on the table and dw loaded so you're a bloomin superstar if you've managed to do any more than that in my eyes!
Pigpen - much strength being sent in your direction. Poor ds3, sounds like he's having a tough time of it :(

I have ds home from school sicking up :(:( not my favourite, so just eating my lunch and catching up a bit before school run. Off to tackle some lists!

Hope you feel much better now Elastic, don't rush back in at the deep end and wear yourself out or you'll just feel worse.

Me and DHs were talking about the amount of books we have in the house (it is a rediculous amount) there are two bookcases on the landing that just looking at briefly at lunchtime we bet we could condense them down to one and lose a bookcase and the contents to a CS so tonight we are going to spend an hour or so on the landing seeing which books we are happy to let go.
There is a wall of three tall bookcases in one of the spare rooms crammed with books and also piles of books in random rooms so we really could lose a few.

    Afternoon all

I've had paid stuff and a meeting so no flying as yet. DS2 put the washing on the line and washed up oh and dealt with the frog that ginger 1 had killed. He is only 5 months old, I dread to think what is to come this spring.

Going to get the shirts in, sort out dinner and have a quick S&S and hoover round.

New kitchen door (leads to front garden) being fitted tomorrow so not much point in doing much.

Work, work, work. No flying at all this week. Sigh.

I am currently trying to test DS on his spanish homework which is a laugh because I havent a clue!

Will make tea, then go to my exercise class, then a few bits of housework, shower and bed. Voluntary job tomorrow, more work Friday so I may not catch up much at all.

Hope things are better for your DS today Pigpen.

Oh pigpen I'm sure they said there was a teen forum too. Would DS3 talk online to others who can identify with him? I've not looked that far, it must be so confusing for you both? The lady said self harm was common (sadly) so it might be a relief to be in touch with people who "get it"

  • Pigpen I really hope everything works out for you and yours. School is a tough time, but it's a big wide (and colourful) world out there once they leave!

Hopefully going to get lots done from the list tonight as OH is at work (I never seem to get anything done when he's at home, we have very few evenings together because of his job.) He did lots yesterday because he was off (brownie points due) so that's ticked off a few bits from my list!

Hope everyone is having a good humpday (by that I mean middle of the week, obviously!) :) xx

    Dailies done.
    A few hotspots tackled.
Smoke alarms were checked by fireman on Saturday as there was a fire in the street. They went round all the houses.
    Clean washing put away.

    My name is Narc0lepsy and I'm a lazy toe-rag.
OK now that's over with and before I get sidetracked by any more web sites or in fact anything other than flying.......half hour something coming up - anyone up for it; probably not as you are all tidy/cooking tea/dealing with far more important issues than me whingeing about wasting time.

So far admittedly I have seen a few students and done a good deal in the garden. Dinner is also cooking. However there are more hours in the day (some of which involved the conservatory and a tablet) than I have to show for it...............

    HHC STARTS NOW

    Phew, that was worth it.
    - washed up
    - cleared all surfaces except a small one. Put lots of stuff away.
    - wiped all surfaces
    - wiped all large appliances and some doors
    - made small pile of things to do, i.e. book eye test
    - photocopied new car insurance cert. to put in car
    - cleared out 2 handbags. Honesty compels me to say one was reasonably empty and the other, although full of ancient receipts, was a small bum bag

now going to check last surface which I think is mainly Mr N's, and maybe sweep floor.
