Definitly worth entering competitions for holidays, we have won a few and they have given us amazing experiences that we couldn't otherwise afford.
In the past 5 years I've won a family holiday to California, a family holiday to Sydney and Cairns Australia, a holiday for 2 to Florida, a weekend family glamping holiday in the UK, a weekend family weekend to Crieff Hydro, a Spa break and a theatre break.
Might be worth entering the holidays in your parents names though, as sometimes the t&cs state they aren't transferable.
Good Luck - hope you win one for you too!0 -
Hmm I've been avoiding entering the holiday competitions abroad because the majority of the dreamy destination ones are flights from London airports which I hate because of the long travel down south. Used a London airport once and the journey there was an absolute nightmare for me so that's my reason. I've entered a few that state flights from any UK airport in the t&c's but they are few and far between.0

I won a 2 night stay in Paris in 2012. I've been to Paris many times but always do it on the cheap. With the compeition I got to stay in a really plush hotel, got some gift vouchers, a tour in one of those classic Renault cars and free entry to a load of exhibitions too. It was pretty great.
These days I pretty much only enter comps to win holidays and the ITV ones.0 -
I won a week in a cottage from a choice across the UK and a years supply of Kiddilicious!
We chose to stay at a cottage in Northumberland during half term holidays.Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Last year I won a 7 night Eurocamp holiday including ferry worth £1400, this was perfect as we go to eurocamp every year. I don't enter many holiday comps but think I will start again. Love travelling. In it for the fun0

I enter every holiday competition I can, and I have been very lucky. In 2013 I won a 2 week holiday to Kenya 1 week safari and the second week in Diani Beach, just amazing trip.
In 2014 I won a long weekend in Marrakech, staying in the most amazing and luxurious accomodation.
Also won a week in Cyprus the same year.
Added to this a weekend hotel stay and a weeks stay in a cottage in scotland. I gave these away to friends as I live in NI and the cost of travel to UK would not have made it worthwhile.
This year I have only won one prize, a years subscriotion to a magazine, so a dry spell for me,
Wish you all good luck and hope you get the trip of your dreams too xx0 -
I've never won anything, i only recently met someone that actually won the lottery twice0

I have won holidays to Heidelberg, Ibiza ,Iceland plus lots of UK ones we are just back from a Forest holiday in Sherwood Forest and go in a few weeks to the island of Mull . If you want to win for your parents enter in their names so there is no problem of transferring. I got a G-mail e-mail address for my daughter and her husband so I can enter for them without them getting all the rubbish . It works because I won them a holiday in Hawaii .
Last week I won a break to Alton Towers new Enchanted Village and they did agree my son and his family could use it though it was in my name.0
