    Grammar first and second ?

How many choices can you put some say three some four
I've also heard people putting the same school three times
You need to put the other one 1st so if he gets the 2nd he gets his Bus Pass

  • Ok, I'm going to the kick this off, raw scores in this morning. AQE score 109: paper 1: 52, paper 2: 54, paper 3: 48. February birthday. I think it is important to post these for children sitting the test in future years. My opinion is that the raw scores were low this year hence the 3 mark increase from raw score to AQE score

Thanks for posting. I have requested ours and look forward to receiving them! Are these scores similar to past papers scores?

I don't think it's as straightforward as taking the top 2 raw scores and adding 3 to arrive at an AQE score.

    Here's our raw scores:
    Paper 1: 42
    Paper 2: 49
    Paper3: 53
Average: 80% AQE score: 103 September Birthday
Unfortunately this is lower than scores in school.
    Eg. 2014 papers scores were: 52, 57, 47.
Nerves must have got to her on the day but thankfully she had more than enough for her 1st choice.

Looking at last year's thread 80% was also a score of 103 so I don't think it's changed much. Very hard to understand it all!
  • Hi. Sorry to divert from raw scores etc. I have been following this for a while but never posted. My daughter achieved 103 at Aqe and an A in GL. Her 1st preference school took a bottom score of 102 last year and is our closest school. However, if she were not accepted this year then our 2nd choice school would be Victoria college using her A from GL. Victoria is a fair distance from our home but she is adamant it is her 2nd choice. Would we then be eligible for a free bus pass or would we be expected to choose a closer school as 2nd choice aswell as 1st choice? Sorry I'm just so unsure of it all as I went to my local grammar 5 mins away so no knowledge of school transport. Thanks.
  • Scores are pretty much in line with the practise papers she was doing.
